BOWIE, Texas - Vendor Harvard Reeder, 83, of Fort Worth died Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998, in her residence.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Bowie with the Rev. Jim Keith, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home.
Mr. Reeder was born Aug. 12, 1915, in Hughes Springs, Texas. He and Darlene Trout were married Aug. 18, 1940, in Bowie. He was retired from the Air Force Control in Fort Worth. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1937. He started a partnership with his two sons in 1976 to form Reeder Air Conditioning and Heating in Fort Worth. He was a member of University United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Barbara Brown of Arlington, Texas; two sons, James Lynn of Fort Worth, and Kenneth R. of Kennedale, Texas; two sisters, Lorine Smyre, and Vezelle Craig, both of Houston; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Bobby Lee Hammond
CHILDRESS, Texas - Bobby Lee Hammond, 66, of Childress died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, in Childress.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Childress Cemetery with the Rev. Jon Crosby officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
Mr. Hammond was born Dec. 21, 1931, in Ada, Okla. He and Deloras Brown were married Jan. 8, 1955, in Childress. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Veteran of Foreign War and Elks Lodge. He was a previous member of the board of directors at Childress Regional Medical Center. He owned Hammond Heating and Air in Childress. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Andrina Owens of Stuart, Fla.; three sisters, Faye Grimm of Lubbock, Texas, Omalou Mahorney of Paducah, Texas, and Charlene Kettler of Asher, Okla.; three brothers, Bufford of Cado Mills, Texas, J.R. of Antlers, Okla., and Frank of Athens, Ga.; two granddaughters; and a great-grandson.

GRAHAM, Texas - Jim Alex Goodman, 56, of Graham died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, in his residence.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mel Stamback and the Rev. George Fain officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Graham under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Mr. Goodman was born March 13, 1942, in San Saba, Texas. He and Beatrice Pearl Lee were married Nov. 5, 1964, in Ingram, Texas. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church and a self-employed woodcutter. He had lived in Graham for the past 17 years after moving from Ingram.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Louis of Newcastle, Lonnie, James and David, all of Graham, and Tom of Wichita Falls; three daughters, Ruthie Thomas, Laverne and Beatrice P., all of Graham; a brother, Jr. of Graham; four sisters, Fannie Lee and Tempi Savage, both of Graham, Beckie Elliot of Palo Pinto, Texas, and Lou Jerry Startz of San Saba; and three grandchildren.

Susan Eileen Summers, 48, of Thornberry, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, in her residence.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Thornberry Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Lawson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn�s Funeral Home.
Mrs. Summers was born Sept. 3, 1950, in Freeport, Texas. She and Larry William Summers were married March 19, 1971, in Freeport. She was a Mary Kay beauty consultant and a member of the Thornberry Community Center. She worked as activity director for area nursing homes. She was a member of the Thornberry Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Edna Pace of Burkburnett; two sons, Shannon and Frank, both of Thornberry; three sisters, Judith Richardson of Wichita Falls, Vivian Ruffu of Denton, Texas, and Linda young of Brazoria, Texas.
Family will be at the Thornberry Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 4-6 p.m. this afternoon.

BOWIE, Texas - Hazel Morris Smith, 86, died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, in Houston.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday at Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home in Bowie, with the Rev. Terry Haralson officiating. Burial will be in Newport Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born July 28, 1912, in Humble, Texas. She and Nelson Howard Smith Sr. were married March 28, 1992, in Bowie. Her husband, Dee T. Morris died in December 1983. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Legion Speak Post No. 252 and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of Foreign Wars Reddy McCellan post No. 8789. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Minister.
Survivors include her husband; and a stepson, Ronnie Morris of California.

Bobbie 'LaRue' Marsalis
QUANAH, Texas -- Bobbie 'LaRue' Marsalis, 86, of Quanah died Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998, in a Quanah hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Quanah First Assembly of God Church in Quanah, with the Rev. W.E. Ikard, pastor of Gateway Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Quanah Memorial Park under the direction of Price-Jackson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Marsalis was born Nov. 20, 1911, in Goree, Texas. She and Elton Bryan Marsalis were married Nov. 26, 1928, in Quanah. He died April 30, 1982. She had lived in Hardeman County since 1916 and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Quanah Garden Club and the Wichita Falls Iris Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Ann Nelson of Lubbock, Texas; two sons, Jerry Keith of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Stephen Mark of Abilene, Texas; a sister, Lettie Hendricks of Canyon, Texas; a stepsister, Virginia Vandergrift of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ola Mae Holmes Stone
Ola Mae Holmes Stone, 92, of Holiday died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, in a local nursing home.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Holiday, with Darryl Sewell, pastor, officiating and Roy Lee Stone assisting. Burial will be in Dundee Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stone was born June 6, 1906, in Salesville, Texas. She and Thomas Bennett were married March 4, 1923, in Mankins, Texas. He died in 1951. After her husbands death she continued to work on their farm and raise their children. In 1960 when she moved to Holiday. She opened the Dandy Dog Shop. She drove a school bus for the Holiday ISD and later worked in the cafeteria until her retirement in 1971. She was a active member of the Holiday Senior Citizens, First Baptist Church and the T.E.L. Class.
Survivors include five daughters, Luella Dalton of Grapevine, Texas, Abbie Jo Hawkins of Auburn, Ala., Juanita Grace of Black Flat, Texas, Ann Jackson of Iowa Park and Sue Price of Spring, Texas; four sons, B.W. of Holiday, J.L., T.H and Bobby Dan, all of Wichita Falls; a sister, Velma Holmes King of Wichita Falls; three brothers, John Holmes of Midwest City, Okla., Felix Holmes of Wichita Falls and Cecil Holmes of Dundee, Texas; 29 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

OLNEY, Texas - Blake Kunkel, 93, of Olney died Saturday, Sept. 26, 1998, in a Olney nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Lunn Funeral Home Chapel in Olney, with the Rev. Tray Smart officiating. Burial will be in Megargel Cemetery in Megargel, Texas, under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kunkel was born Dec. 17, 1904, in Throckmorton. She and R.H. 'Rich' were married Aug. 23, 1926, in Galveston, Texas. He died Dec. 16, 1990. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Megarel. She attended Bryan Drum Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Hamilton Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was a past member of the Altruistic Club. She had been a resident of Olney for 32 years.
Survivors include a son, James of Olney; a sister, Florence McCauley of Oklahoma City; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

Bessie Molina, 86, of Wichita Falls, died Friday Sept. 25, 1998, in a local hospital.
Services were at 3 p.m. Monday at Owens & Brumley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Josh Ibarra, pastor of the First Mexican Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Holliday Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Molina was born April 4, 1912, in Vernon, Texas. Her husband, Robert Molina, died in 1985. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Mexican Baptist Church. She was a lifetime resident of Wichita Falls.
Survivors include two sons, Jessie and Rudy Molina, both of Holliday, Texas; two daughters, Juanita Rivas and Mary Stucki, both of Wichita Falls; a brother, Ray Gonzales of Modesto, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. NOCONA, Texas - Hazel Field, 88, of Wichita Falls died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998, in Hospice of Wichita Falls.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Nocona with the Rev. Glenn Field officiating. Burial will be in Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Scott-Morris Funeral Home.
Mrs. Field was born May 10, 1910, in Shamrock, Texas. She and Nuell Claud Field were married Sept. 6, 1926, in Canadian, Texas. He died May 4, 1973. She was an active member in Baptist Crusades for Christ from 1980-1988. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also a teacher of 9-year-old girls Sunday School for more than 20 years. She did volunteer work in the hospital auxiliary, kitchen band, senior choir, blood mobile and helped distribute food commodities. She was a member of the Quilters Guild. She was a homemaker and a leather worker for Nocona Athletic Goods.
Survivors include a daughter, Marjorie Hollars of Wichita Falls; a sister, Eula Caldwell of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the fellowship hall today from noon until funeral time for visitation.

Mrs. Martinez was born Nov. 6, 1913, in Welder, Texas. Her husband, Doroteo Martinez Sr., died in July 1970. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Slaton. She was a homemaker. She moved to Slaton in 1940 from Welder.
Survivors include four sons, Doroteo Jr., Max and Ezekial, all of Slaton, and Jenaro of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Carmen Garcia of Slaton; a brother, Juaquin Maldonado of Slaton; a sister, Jessie Garcia of Slaton; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 34 great-great-grandchildren.

Donna Marie Walker Brumbalow, 79, of Decatur, Texas, died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998, in her residence.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oaklawn Cemetery with the Rev. Leroy Jackson, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church of Decatur, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Mrs. Brumbalow was born June 2, 1919, in Henrietta, Texas. She was self employed and lived Wichita Falls most of her life. A son, Kenneth A. Brumbalow, died in 1994.
Survivors include several brothers and sisters; several nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Dorothy Bridges of Decatur.

Katharina Weeks, 69, of Wichita Falls died Friday, Sept. 25, 1998, in her home.

Mrs. Weeks was born Nov. 19, 1929, in Dieburg, Germany. She was retired from the Wichita Falls Independent School District and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star. She had lived in Wichita Falls since 1960 and was a member of Floral Heights Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William Weeks Sr.; a son, William of Houston; two sisters, Annie Wilezski and Sonja Otto, both of Germany; and two brothers, Franz Johan Gondolf and Werner Gondolf.

COMANCHE, Okla. -- Leo Eldridge Beck, 73, of Comanche died Monday, Sept. 28, 1998, in an Oklahoma City hospital.

Mr. Beck was born June 11, 1925, in Comanche. He and Evelyn McCord Beck were married March 23, 1949, in Comanche. He was an oil field supervisor and a member of the Lions Club. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church, where he was Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin Beck of Greenwood, Ark.; a daughter, Karla Fisher of Comanche; five sisters, Josephine Bowman, Shirley Bowman, Billie Miears and Rera Trent, all of Comanche, and Betty Deger of Duncan, Okla.; and six grandchildren.

Charles Gilbert Lyons, 57, of Iowa Park died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998, in his residence.

Mr. Lyons was born March 11, 1941, in Sioux City, Iowa. He retired after 20 years in the Air Force, and he had worked for the city of Iowa Park for eight years.

Mrs. Lambert was born Feb. 3, 1919, in Yappenucka, Okla. Her husband, Fred W. Kemp, died in 1963. Her husband, Jodie Lambert, died in 1993. She was a 1937 graduate of Randlett High School where she was salutatorian of her class. She was a longtime resident of Randlett. She formerly worked at M & M Variety in Burkburnett for 20 years.

Mr. Petit was born Dec. 16, 1983, in Wichita Falls. He was a student at Electra High School and a member of First Assembly of God in Electra. He was formerly of Windthorst.
