Charles L. "Pinky" Weisberg, 84, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003, peacefully at his home.
He was a loving son, father, grandfather and husband. He was a member of Congrega-
tion Adath Jeshurun and The Temple. He served in the US Army during World War II,
having served on campaigns in Italy, Sicily and North Africa, and was decorated with
the Purple Heart. He was a community leader in many different ways. He was a past
member of the University of Louisville Board of Overseers, a trustee on the board of
Bellarmine College and a board member of the Louisville Community Foundation, Channel
15 and Boy Scouts of America. He was a national trustee for the National Conference of
Christians and Jews. He was a longtime board member and selected as an honorary
member of the Louisville Ballet. He also served as a board member of the Louisville Fund
for the Arts and was a commissioner for the Museum of History and Science. He was a
past president of the Jewish Community Center, the Louisville Board of Realtors and the
Louisville Chapter of Certified Property Managers. He was one of the founders of and
served on the board of directors of Humana, Inc. He also served on the board of directors
of Republic Bank and Trust Co. Charles L. Weisberg was a realtor for 52 years. Weisberg
was the recipient of many awards and honors, including the Louisville Board of Realtors'
"Realtor of the Year" and the Kentucky Association of Realtors' "Realtor of the Year,"
and was elected the Institute of Real Estate Managements' "Louisville Manager of the
Year." He was awarded the "Brotherhood Award" by the National Conference of Chris-
tians and Jews (NCCJ). This award was later permanently renamed "The Charles L.
Weisberg Brotherhood Award" in his honor. He also received the "Man of the Year"
award and the "International Youth Fellowship Award" from B'nai Brith and the "Person
of the Year" award from the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. He was a cofounder of Bass
& Weisberg Realtors and President of Charmar Galleries, Ltd. He established an endowment
at the University of Louisville School of Music to train elementary school students to play
the violin. It is called "The Weisberg String Scholarships for Children" at Sanders Elemen
tary School. This is a free program to students who receive weekly private and group
lessons using the Suzuki method of teaching. He was an adult advisor to Resnick AZA,
a youth organization at the Jewish Community Center, from 1959 to 1972. He was a father
figure to hundreds of young boys who, in 1997, organized a reunion held in Louisville in
his honor. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marian Bierman Weisberg; his mother
and father, Mildred and Samuel Weisberg; and his infant sister, Beverly.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene Weisberg; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Frank
and Barbara Weisberg of Louisville, Ron and Elaine Weisberg of Louisville and Alan
Weisberg of Miami Beach, Florida; two stepsons, Eric Gould of Louisville and Keith Trau and
his wife, Valerie, of Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren, Robyn
Weisberg Slen and her husband Ben, Michael Weisberg of Louisville, Nicole Weisberg
of Seattle, Washington, Bradley Weisberg of Los Angeles, California, Danielle Weisberg of
Louisville, Brielle Weisberg of New York, New York, Spencer Weisberg and Quinton
Weisberg of Miami Beach, Florida, and Steven and Rachael Trau of Atlanta; and his aunt,
Bertha Hyman of Louisville.
Funeral services will be held at Congregation Adath Jeshurun, 2401 Woodbourne Ave., at 2 p.m.
today (Thursday). Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the synagogue.

Clara P. Lerman, 98, of Louisville, died Saturday at Four Courts Senior Center.
She was a retired executive with Lerman Brothers and a former member of Hadassah.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Weiss of White Plains, NY; grandchildren,
Michael Weiss of White Plains and Marsha Chabot of Esopus, NY; a sister, Sara P.
Kasdan; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Sunday) at Keneseth Israel Cemetery.

Ruth M. Cantor, 81, of Louisville, died Tuesday. She was a member of Anshei
Sfard Congregation, Hadassah and National Council of Jewish Women -
Louisville Section.
Survivors include her son, David M. Cantor; a daughter, Lynn Cooper of Dallas,
Texas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Her funeral will be held at 3:00pm today (Thursday) with burial in Anshei Sfard
Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm Thursday.

Jack E. Baach, 81, died Saturday. Jack graduated from Male High School,
attended Indiana University and was an Army veteran of World War II. He
owned and operated the old Baach's Children's Shop at Fourth and Chestnut
Streets. He founded Jeb Advertising and never retired from the work he loved.
Jack was a member of The Temple, many professional organizations and
Midland Trail Golf Club and a charter member of the Parkinson Support Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ruth Baach, and his brother, Buddy.
He was the devoted husband of 57 years to Shirley L. Baach, a wonderful father
to Margo Baach Marchant and Amy Baach, brother of Joy Klopper and grandfather
to Danielle Marchant of Seattle, WA. He was loved by the many caregivers who
cared for his wife and him over the years.
His funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. today (Monday) with interment
in The Temple
Cemetery, 2416 Preston Highway. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday.

Dolores "Dolly" Chitlik, 76, died Wednesday at Jewish Hospital.
She was a 1947 graduate of the University of Louisville, the co-owner
of the old Glendale Pharmacy, a retired teacher with Jefferson County
Public Schools, having taught from 1975-1989, a member of Hadassah
and Congregation Adath Jeshurun, past president of the National
Auxiliary of the Alpha Zeta Omega Pharmaceutical Fraternity, docent
at the J. B. Speed Art Museum and volunteered with the Kentucky Center
for the Arts and the Palace Theatre.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Isadore Levitan;
husband, Jacob; and daughter, Linda.
She is survived by her son, Alan Chitlik and his wife, Sarah, and sister,
Grace Levitan.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm today (Sunday) with burial following
in the Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, 2926 Preston Highway. Visitation
will be held on hour before the funeral.

Otis E. Weatherford, 83, died Tuesday. He was a retired carpenter.
He is survived by his sons, Otis and Jerry Weatherford and Charles
Weatherford of Breckinridge County; daughters, Sharon Lay and
Charlotte Adler of LaGrange; one sister; one brother; seven grandchildren;
12 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at 11:00am with burial following
in St. Stephen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00pm - 5:00pm
and 7:00pm until 9:00pm.

Alan Waldman, 63, died Saturday at Baptist Hospital East. He was a
financial advisor with UBS Paine-Webber and was a member of
Keneseth Israel Congregation and a board member of the Jewish
Federation of Louisville. He was also a member of Standard Country Club,
Valhalla Golf Club and Longboat Key Club.
He is survived by his wife, Polly (Jacobs) Waldman; son, Craig Feinberg;
daughters, Pamela Buren, Lisa Feinberg of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Robin
Waldman of San Francisco, California; sister, Bonnye Fine of Palm Beach
Gardens, Florida; and grandchildren, Justin and Logan Buren.
The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. today (Tuesday), with burial in Keneseth
Israel Cemetery 719 Locust Lane. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Sylvia Kleinman Glick, 89, died Wednesday in Tempe, Arizona. She was the retired
co-owner, with her husband, of Glick's Jewelry in Davenport, Iowa. She was a former
member of Temple Israel, Sebring, Florida, Hadassah, B'nai Brith, American Contract
Bridge League and Delta Phi Epsilon at the University of Louisville.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Milton Glick and his wife, Peggy of Tempe, Arizona;
sisters, Ruth Hermann of Memphis, Tennessee and Gertrude Turk; brother, Reuben
"Bob" Kleinman; and grandchildren, David and Sander Glick and their wives.
A graveside funeral service will be held today (Friday) at Keneseth Israel Cemetery,

Boris Pressma, 84, died Monday afternoon at Audubon Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Pressma was a retired businessman and civic leader and a member of Congregation
Adath Jeshurun and the Louisville Board of Realtors. He was a former local chair-
man for Bonds of Israel and a former state committee member for Parents Anonymous.
He directed talent shows for Seneca High School and was an actor at and board
member of the Heritage Theater.
He was a two-term president of the Jewish Community Center, former vice-president
of the Louisville Jewish Federation, the president of the Jewish Vocational Service,
former chair of the United Jewish Campaign and a Little League coach. Mr. Pressma
had been honored with the Man of the Year Award for B'nai Brith and Salesman of
the Year Award for Prudential Parks & Weisberg Realtors and was a member of St.
George Masonic Lodge #259.
His son, Stuart Pressma, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Schneider Pressma; children, C. J. Pressma and his
wife, Marcelle Gianelloni, Diane Gordon and her husband, Bernard Gordon, Kathy Broude
and her husband, Alan Broude, and Marilyn Sommer; and sister, Libbye Allentuck. He is
also survived by his grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle Pressma and Jim Grassi,
Elise and Scott Lazensky, Kyle Pressma, Reed Montgomery, Heather and Kerry Mont-
gomery, Ross Gordon, Nicole and Terry Gordon, Chase Gordon and Andrew Brake, Phyllis
and Michael Sommer and Joshua Sommer; and great grandchildren, Jacob Grassi, Conner
Gordon and David Sommer.

She was the owner of the old Simon Cohen Men's Store, a member of

National Council of Jewish Women - Louisville Section.
She is survived by her son, Stanley Fleck and his wife, Nancy; daughters, Bunny
Sabath and her husband, Allen of Boca Raton, Florida, and Annette Geller and her
husband Harry; 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Monday) at 4:00pm with visitation beginning
