Lillian Miller, 95, died today at Four Courts Senior Center. She was the
widow of Paul Miller.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: David C. Miller and Ann
Huttner of Louisville and Gerald C. Miller and Susan Chadick of Arlington,
Virginia.
Mrs. Miller was born in Hungary. She came to the United States at the age of
five for a visit and never left. She was a self-made woman who reached the
top of her profession as a millinery buyer. She gave up her career in 1944 to
marry attorney Paul Miller and raise her boys. After his death in 1964, she
became a personal banker, retiring at the age of 92. She was an icon and
living legend in the Yorkville community of Manhattan. She moved to Arlington
in 2002 and to Louisville this past June and the Four Courts Senior Center.
She was a Grand Old Gal.

Melvin Zeiden, 74, died Wednesday at Jewish Hospital.
He was a pharmacist and retired owner of Zeiden's Third Avenue Pharmacy.
He was a member of Keneseth Israel Congregation, Anshei Sfard, Alpha Zeta
Omega Fraternity, St. George Masonic Lodge #239 F&AM, Odom Club,
Scottish Rite, Kosair Temple, Jefferson County Academy of Pharmacy, B'nai
Brith and Kentucky Pharmaceutical Association.
He is survived by his daughters, Laurie Zeiden, Shelly Freund and Sandy
Weinstein; grandchildren, Benjie and Becca Freund; and a son-in-law, Ande
Weinstein.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm today (Friday). Visitation will
begin after 1:00pm. Interment
will be at the Keneseth Israel Cemetery,
719 Locust Lane.
Memorial gifts may go to the Anita Zeiden Memorial Fund, c/o The Louisville

Shirley (Williams) Small, 73, died Saturday, November 29, 2003. She was a
member of Congregation Adath Jeshurun and Amit Women.
She is survived by her husband, Murrel Small; son, Steven Small; daughter,
Deborah Davidson; sister, Joyce Hyman; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Monday), with burial in Adath
Jeshurun Cemetery, 2926 Preston Highway. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.

Doris S. Cohen, 73, died Tuesday at Four Courts Senior Center. She was
a member of Keneseth Israel Congregation, Hadassah and Keneseth Israel
Sisterhood.
She is survived by: her husband, Buddy Cohen; daughter, Marcia
Cohen Solkin of Saratoga, Florida; two sons, Thomas Cohen of Los Angeles
and Steven Cohen of Houston, Texas; a brother, Lawrence Schuster and five
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at 1:00pm with visitation beginning
after 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in the Keneseth Israel Cemetery, 719 Locust
Lane. The family will receive friends on Saturday night at 6:30pm at Keneseth
Israel Congregation, 2531 Taylorsville Road.

Helen Klayman, 68, died Friday, Nov 7, at her home. She was a retired teacher
with the Jefferson County Public Schools. She taught at both Hite Ele-
mentary and Audubon Traditional School. She was also a Reiki Master
Trainer, a patron of the arts and a member of the Kentucky Retired Teacher's
Association.
She is survived by her daughters: Sherrie McGregor and her husband,
Donald of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Alisa Grodsky and her husband,
Roy of Staten Island, New York; brother, Irwin Rosenblum of Queens Garden,
New York; and grandchildren, Eric and Scott McGregor and Dani Grodsky.
A memorial service will be held today (Friday) at 2:00pm. Visitation will
begin after 1:00pm.

Blanche "Bubbie" Norman, 98, died Tuesday at Four Courts Senior Center.
She was the retired co-owner of Norman's Muffler Sales & Service and
co-owner of Norman's Electronics. A 1987 Bell Award winner, she volunteered
at Home of the Innocents, Kosair Children's Hospital and the Red Cross.
She was a member of Keneseth Israel Congregation, Hadassah and the Jewish
Community Center.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry Norman. She is
survived by one son, Ivan Norman and his wife, Mona of Far Rockaway, New
York; her daughter, Brenda Bush and her husband Karmen; 11 grandchildren
and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2:00pm. Visitation will begin
after 12:30pm. Burial will be in the Keneseth Israel Cemetery, 719 Locust
Lane.

Fern Herman, 86, died this morning at Jefferson Manor. She was a member of
Temple Beth El in Detroit, Michigan, the National Council of Jewish Women and
Hadassah.
She is survived by one daughter, Rolla Gladstein and her husband, Dr. Mark;
brothers, Sheldon and Leonard Alkon, both of Detroit; grandson, Seth Gladstein
of New York, New York; and granddaughter, Pamela Sole and her husband, Mark,
of New York.
Funeral services were held in Detroit, Michigan.

She was a retired teacher of library science in the Massapequa school system
and a member of the University of Michigan Alumni Association, the

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Jorrisch of Massapequa Park; sons, Dr.
Mark Jorrisch and his wife, Jane, and Joel Jorrisch and his wife, Susan, of
Laguna Hills, California; daughter, Amy Jorrisch and her husband, Joseph
Asselta of Northpoint, New York; sister, Elizabeth Carlin and her husband,
Maury, of Woodland Hills, California; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday (today) with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after noon Sunday.

Shirley E. Krebs, 82, of Louisville, died Saturday. She was a member of
The Temple.
She was the beloved wife of Irvin Krebs; the beloved mother of Kenneth
Krebs and his wife, Sandy, of Chicago, IL; and the loving grandmother of
Mark Krebs.
She was the loving mother of the late Diane Krebs. Her funeral will be held at
3:00 p.m. Sunday (today) with visitation beginning after 2:00 p.m. Burial will
be in The Temple Cemetery, 2416 Preston Highway.

She was a retired sales associate in ladies wear in Chicago and a member

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Frances
Wexler; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

beginning after 10:00am. Interment
