Andor Mittelman, 76, died Monday night at his residence. He was the
owner of Southern Brass and a member of Anshei Sfard Congregation.
He is survived by his daughter, Miriam Mittelman.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm today (Wednesday) at the Anshei
Sfard Cemetery, 721 Locust Lane.

Corina Maya, 74, died Thursday at Four Courts Senior Center. She
was a member of Congregation Adath Jeshurun and Hadassah.
She is survived by: her husband, Isaac Maya; a son, Mario Maya
and his wife, Vicki; daughter, Rosa Maya; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm today (Friday) with visitation
beginning after 1:00pm. Interment
will be in The Temple Cemetery,

Eleanor Gibson, 90, died Wednesday at Audubon Hospital's Hospice Unit.
She was a member of Anshei Sfard Congregation, Anshei Sfard Sisterhood, B'nai
Brith Women, Hadassah, St. George Eastern Star where she played piano for 50
years and the B'nai Brith Bowling League.
She is survived by a son, Marvin (Carol) Gibson of Chicago, Il; two sisters,
Becie Potash and Blanche Wasserman; brother, Allan (Margie) Baker; 5 grand-
children; 7 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her caregiver,
Vickie Davies.
A private graveside service will be held at Anshei Sfard Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Anshei Sfard Congregation or to the donor's
favorite charity.

Ronald Yoffe,58, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, died Friday. He was the
vice-president of operations for Hush Puppie Shoes.
He is survived by his wife, Karen (Croyle) Yoffe of Grand Rapids;
son, Adam Yoffe of Chicago, Illinois; and two brothers, Phillip Yoffe
and Dr. Stuart Yoffe of Branham, Texas.
The funeral will be held at 12:30 p.m. today (Sunday) with visitation after
11:30 a.m. Interment
will be in Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, 2926 Preston
Highway.

Fannie Kaplan, 93, died Sunday, July 25, 2004 at Four Courts Senior Center.
She was a retired co-owner of a grocery store with her late husband, Sol Kaplan.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara Russman and her husband, Scherrill,
and Paula Tarbis; a sister, Molly Shaikun; five grandchildren; and seven great
grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service will be held today (Tuesday) at the Keneseth
Israel Cemetery, 719 Locust Lane, at 11:00 a.m.

Harold S. Seligman, 88, passed away Monday, July 19, 2004 at the
Good Samaritan Center. He was a jeweler, a pawn broker, and a World
War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Grace Goldstein Seligman; his daughter,
Linda Seligman, his son-in-law, Dix McComas, and his granddaughter, Adar
Seligman-McComas, all reside in Amherst, Massachusetts.
Graveside services will be held today, (Thursday) at 11:00 a.m. at Adath
Jeshurun Cemetery, 2926 Preston Highway.

Sarah Kasdan, 92, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004. She was a retired co-owner
of Morton's Women's Apparel and a member of Hadassah and Congregation
Adath Jeshurun.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kopel Morris Kasdan.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Morton Kasdan and his wife, Ann; daughters,
Helen Cohen and her husband, Edwin, and Sharman Stephens and her
husband, Michael, of Arlington, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and nine great
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be today (Thursday) at 1:00 p.m. with burial in Keneseth
Israel Cemetery, 719 Locust Lane. Visitation will begin after 12 noon.

Kenneth W. Wall, 44, died Saturday. He was an attorney and a graduate
of Stetson University and the Solomon P. Chase School of Law at Northern
Kentucky University. He was the vice president of Fortune High Tech
Marketing Co. in Lexington, Kentucky, a member of The Temple, Lexington Avenue
Baptist Church in Danville, Kentucky; the Kentucky Bar Association, the American
Bar Association, and Ducks Unlimited and a past president of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
He is survived by his parents, Pauline and Kenneth Wall of Danville, Kentucky;
the former Lisa Yussman; and sons, Logan and Zachary Wall.
Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday) at 1:00 p.m. with burial in The
Temple Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 12:00 noon.
Memorial donations may be given to the Kenneth Wall Scholarship Fund at
Kentucky Country Day.

Dorothy Simon, 84, died at Hospice & Palliative Care of Louisville's inpatient
unit at Norton Healthcare Pavilion. She was a member of Anshei Sfard Congregation
a lifetime member of Amit Women, the Jewish Community Center and Hadassah.
She is survived by her husband, Leon Simon; a son, Alan Simon; and one sister,
Roselyn Brill; 5 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 3:00 p.m. with visitation beginning
after 2:00 p.m. Interment
will follow in Anshei Sfard Cemetery, 721 Locust
Lane.

Irving Zeitman, 84, died Monday evening at Jewish Hospital.
He was a retired engineer for General Electric and a former principal of Kenneth
Israel Sunday School. He was a lieutenant colonel in the US Army during the
Korean Conflict and was called back for duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was a commandant for the US Army Reserve School and an executive officer
of the 100th Division. He was a member of Congregation Adath Jeshurun, VFW,
US Military Officers Association, Jewish Community Center and Aaronians Society.
He was the winner of nine national racquetball tournaments and a member of the
Jewish Community Center Hall of Fame, Kentucky State Hall of Fame and the Inter-
national Racquet Ball Association Hall of Fame.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sheba Kaplan Zeitman.
He is survived by his sons, Steven Zeitman, Michael Zeitman of Houston, TX, and
Larry Zeitman and his wife, Candy, of San Jose, CA; sister, Frances Levitan of Los
Angeles, CA; grandchildren, Natalie, Robert, Andrea, Blake and Morgan Zeitman;
three great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Hannah and Mercedes Zeitman; and a special
friend, Anne Shapira.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. today (Wednesday) with interment
at the Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, 2926 Preston Highway. Visitation will begin
after 2:00 p.m.

Israel "Al" Shifrin, 87, died Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Baptist Hospital East.
He was a retired rate clerk in the trucking industry and a former civil government
employee at Fort Knox. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member
of Jewish War Veterans.
Survivors include a son, Gil Shifrin and his wife, Sandy; a daughter, Sara Ann
Shifrin of Chicago, Illinois; and grandchildren, Shannon and Deanna Shifrin.
A graveside service will be held today (Tuesday) at Adath Jeshurun Cemetery,
2926 Preston Highway, at 10:00 a.m.
Memorial donations may be given to the Jewish War Veterans.

Loraine Scott, 85, died Sunday, July 4, 2004.
She was a retired private practical nurse.
She is survived by her son, Gregg Tegman of Mt. Washington, Kentucky; four
grandchildren and Peter Gillis, who cared for her.
