Clarire B. Lenkoff, 81, died Monday, April 04, 2005. She was the owner of Stry-Lenkoff Company and Lee Publications. She wrote and published game books for children. She was a board member of the Louisville Orchestra and an active philanthropist in the local arts community. She established the Claire and Lee Lenkoff Orchestra-Conductor 2nd Century Fund at the Jewish Community Center. She was the first woman to attend the Hebrew Union College. She won the National Pillsbury Bakeoff contest.
She is preceded in death by her husband Leon Lenkoff.
She is survived by her son Roger Lenkoff (Elizabeth); daughters, Irene Lenkoff and Alice Pearl (Gary) of Orlando, FL; and three grandchildren.
Her funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (today), with burial in The Temple Cemetery, 2716 Preston Highway. Visitation after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy to the donor's favorite charity.

Shirley Rhea Lewis (Gordon), 76, died Saturday, April 2, 2005. She was a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, George Lewis; daughter, Stefanie Lewis; and her son, Matthew Lewis.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday (today) at 10:30 a.m. The family will be receiving friends at their home Tuesday afternoon and evening.

Ahren Jacobson, 83, of Louisville, died Wednesday. He was a graduate of City College of New York, Brooklyn Polytech and a retired professor of Radiation Physics, University of Louisville. He was a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and a member of the board of directors from 1974-1975. He also was a member of the Health Physics Society and president of its Bluegrass Chapter, 1981-82 and 1985 ' 86, and a member of Kentucky Association of Science Educators and Skeptics. He was appointed to the Maxey Flats Advisory Task Force and Commission of Kentucky. He was a World War II veteran and a recipient of the Combat Infantrymen's Badge.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Norman Jacobson; sons Leonard of Seattle, WA and Daniel of San Diego, CA; daughters, Naomi Iaccarino of Benicia, CA, Ruth Shure of Glendale, CA and Mary Jacobson of Burbank, CA; brother, Samuel Jacobson of Ellicott City, MD; and sisters, Yvonne Feldman of Mesa, AZ and Edith Lama of Lowell, MA.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday (today) at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the American Heart Association or to the Patton Museum.

Shirley Gerrel Segal, 84, of Louisville, died Thursday, March 31, 2005. She moved to Louisville from New Haven, Connecticut. She married Walter Segal and helped run the family's businesses: Segal's Department Store, Uniform Mart, and Segal Robe Company. She was a lifelong member of The Temple, a member of National Council of Jewish Women ' Louisville section and a life member of Hadassah. She sold real estate, was a Blue Ribbon needlepoint artist, took adult education classes, swam at the YMCA, followed politics and current events, and cheered every Louisville Cardinals goal during March Madness.
She is survived by her children Julie, Susan and Andy Segal; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her sister Sonny Levenstein of Baltimore, MD.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday (today) at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin after 10:00 a.m.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to Jewish Family and Vocational Service.

Efrim Bronshtein, 67, died Tuesday evening at Norton Healthcare Pavilion. He was a retired weight lifting coach.
He is survived by his wife, Myia Bronshtein; son, Albert Bronshtein of Lafayette, Indiana; and a half-brother, Simon Bronshteyn.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday (today) at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin after 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Keneseth Israel Cemetery, 719 Locust Lane.

Steven Michael Roberts, 48, died Tuesday night.
He is survived by his parents, Lorrayne and William Roberts; sisters, Susan Lamothe and Andrea Lindemann; nieces, Jennifer and Sarah Lamothe; and nephews, Danny and Tommy Lindemann.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome Lerner; son, Shawn Lerner; daughter, Michele Meyers (Eliot) of Cincinnati, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Max and Sydney Meyers.
Funeral services will be held on Friday (today) at 2;00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Keneseth Israel Cemetery, 719 Locust Lane. Visitation will begin after 1:00 p.m.
