Carol Rosenbaum Geisberg, 83, of Louisville, died Monday, August 22, 2005. She was a member of The Temple, National Council of Jewish Women ' Louisville section, Speed Art Museum, a volunteer at Kosair Hospital, the secretary of the Temple Sisterhood and a member of Women of Reform Judaism.
She is preceeded in death by her brother Dr. Irvin S. Rosenbaum.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Geisberg; son, Dr. Harry I. Geisberg and his wife LaDonna of Anderson, South Carolina; 2 grandchildren, Heather Carol Pennington and her husband Vincent of Danville, Kentucky and Dr. Carrie Anna Geisberg of Nashville, Tennessee; and sister-in-law, Fanny Rose Rosenbaum.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday (today) in the Waller Chapel at The Temple, 5101 US Highway 42. Visitation will begin after 1:00pm on Thursday.

Harriet F. Judd, 83, of Louisville, died Monday morning at her residence. She was a member of The Temple, The Jewish Community Center and Standard Country Club. She was a former member of The Temple Sisterhood and National Council of Jewish Women ' Louisville Section.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold M. Judd.
She is survived by: daughters, Lisa Judd Foley of Charlotte, North Carolina and Beth Judd Stephens (Eldee) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sons, Bruce Judd (Kathey) of Tampa, Florida and Arne Judd (Virginia); seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday at The Temple, 5101 US Highway 42. Visitation will begin at 10:00am Wednesday at The Temple. Burial will follow in The Temple Cemetery, 2716 Preston Highway.

Sylvia Garon, 93, died Sunday August 7, 2005. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. "We celebrate the long and happy life of this beautiful, poised and giving woman, remembering her sweetness her gracefulness and her sense of humor. She was a wonderful friend, cook and dancer, who was incredibly dedicated to her family." "Sylvia was a devoted wife, married to Milton Garon for 57 years, until his death in 1992."
She was a proud mother of Mona, wife of Jay Brodsky, of Louisivlle, and Marilyn, wife of Earl Weiss, of Cleveland, Ohio. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Karl of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Lisa and Mitch Eisen, Julie and Mitch Nusbaum, Laura Weiss, Kevin Bergman, Brian Weiss, Julie and Randy Brodsky and Paige Brodsky; and great grandchildren Ariella, Talia, Zachary, Tamar, Hannah, Jonah, Noah and Teilam. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday (today), with interment
in Adath Jeshurun Cemetery, 2926 Preston Highway. Visitation will begin after 3:00pm.

Ann Meit, 98, died Sunday, July 31, 2005. She was a member of Keneseth Israel Congregation.
She is survived by her sons, Marvin & Sondra Meit of Plantation, Florida and Jerry & Kitty Meit ; a sister, Dora Garber; five grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held at 11:00am Tuesday (today) with interment
in the Keneseth Israel Cemetery, 719 Locust Lane. Visitation will begin after 10:00am Tuesday.

Bessie Yoffe Meller, 88, of Louisville, died Friday, July 29, 2005 at Four Courts Senior Center. She was the co-owner of the former Meller's Dry goods and a member of Keneseth Israel Synagogue.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Meller.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Heddy and Bob Teitel; grandchildren, Stacy Waller (Bill), Shelley Phelps, Julie Rubin, Todd Teitel (Debbie) and Lonnie Teitel; and eight great grandchildren, Rebecca, Ashley and Bradley Waller, Hallie, Elliott and Matthew Phelps, Brandon and Andrew Teitel.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday (today) at the Keneseth Israel Cemetery.

Robert "Bobby" Bronner, 79, of Louisville, died Sunday, July 24, 2005.
He was a real estate developer and builder of numerous subdivisions, hotels and commercial property. He was a member of The Temple, Temple Shalom, the Jewish Community Center, Senior Corps of Retired Executives, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America, a 32nd degree Mason and member of St. George Masonic Lodge F&AM # , Kosair Shrine Temple, Coinvest, the Real Estate Board and the former Head of the Cable Television Commission.
He is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Dr. Mark Bronner (Susan) and Steven Bronner (Wendy); daughter, Barbara Schwartz (Tom); grandchildren, Jonathan Bronner, Meredith Bronner, Beth Bronner, John Wilhoit (Kim), Susan Wilhoit, Liza Bronner, Ali Bronner, Lee Griffin, Casey Griffin, Melissa Schwartz, Robert Schwartz and Michael Schwartz; nephew, Dr. Richard Lehman (Dr. Michelle Koo); sister-in-law, Mary Louise "Cissie" Bronner; and special friend Willie Edwards.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at The Temple, 5101 U.S. Highway 42, at 3:30pm with burial in The Temple Cemetery, 2716 Preston Highway. Visitation will begin after 2:00pm Tuesday.

Shirley Kolber Boldt Epstein, 84, of Louisville, died Saturday. A native of New Jersey, she received a Bachelor of Science degree from Douglas College, with additional training at Harvard University. Before and after moving to Louisville, she did counseling and education at the Veteran's Administration. Later, she was a consultant for The King's Daughters and Sons Home and worked for the Child Evaluation Center at the University of Louisville Medical Center as the nutritionist with an interdisciplinary medical team that worked with children and their parents. She was a member of The Temple, the American Dietetic Association and the Kling Chamber Orchestra. She was also a violinist who played in many orchestra and chamber music groups.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Martin Harold Boldt and son-in-law, Stephen James Moseson.
She is survived by her husband, Norman L. Epstein; daughter, Rebecca H. Boldt of Okeechobee, FL; sons, Harrison Robert Boldt (Emily) of Chappaqua, NY and Richard Charles Boldt (Eilene Canfield) of Towson, MD; step-daughter, Nancy Sales Heilmann (Ron); step-son, Richard Sales Epstein (Carol); and grandchildren, Brandon Reed Boldt, Samantha Leigh Boldt, Laura Hailey Boldt, Isabel Boldt Canfield and Catherine Boldt Canfield.
Her funeral service will be at 12 noon Wednesday (today) at The Temple, 5101 U.S. Highway 42. Visitation will begin after 11:00am Wednesday at The Temple. Interment
in The Temple Cemetery, 2716 Preston Highway.

Elaine Lipski S., 85, died Thursday night at Jewish Hospital.
She was a member of The Temple and Congregation Adath Jeshurun.
She is survived by her son, Hal Lipski; brothers Stewart Shrader and Calvin Shrader of Cincinnati, Ohio; nieces, Helen Friedman, Bette Friedberg of Kansas City, Missouri ; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Lee Werschulz, 80, of Louisville, died Monday. She was a retired clinical social worker, a member of The Temple, The Temple Sisterhood, National Council of Jewish Women-Louisville Section, The Jewish Community Center, B'nai Brith Women, a member of the National Association of Social Workers and a former member of the Kentucky Society of Social Workers.
She is survived her sons, Arthur (Patricia) of Cranford, New Jersey and Steven (Celia) of Naperville, Illinois; and her grandsons, Aaron, Nathaniel, Bryan and Michael Werschulz.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (today) at 12 noon with visitation after 11:00am. Burial will follow the service in The Temple Cemetery, 2716 Preston Highway.

Florence Gutfreund, 87, of Louisville, died Saturday. She was a member of The Temple, a former member of Temple Israel in St. Louis, MO, and a member of Miriam Lodge, which is the United Order of True Sisters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Waterman (Robert), and grandchildren, Jessica and Jordan Waterman.
A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at The Temple Cemetery, 2716 Preston Highway. Memorial gifts may be made to the Pat Waterman Nursing School Scholarship Fund at Jewish Hospital, The Temple or the donor's favorite charity.

Sylvia Schultz, 88, died Saturday, June 25, 2005. She was a founder of Paul Schultz Companies Inc.
She is survived by her sons, Steven and Richard (Angie) Schultz and her grandchildren, Stephanie, Thad and Tyler Schultz.
A graveside service will be held Thursday (today) at 3:00pm at the Temple Cemetery, 2716 Preston Highway. Following her service, a Celebration of her Life will be held at The Glenview ,5100 U.S. Highway 42 in the Community Room from 4-8pm. At 6:30pm, a memorial service will be held at the Glenview, followed by a musical tribute.

Sylvia Lee Rosen, 75, died after suffering a stroke around 6 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005, in San Diego, where she has lived the past nine years since moving from Elkhart, Indiana. She was born Sept. 17, 1929, in Louisville to Gilbert and Lena Peal. She married Harry Rosen in 1949 in Louisville.
Mrs. Rosen lived in Elkhart from 1952 to 1996 where she was a homemaker. She enjoyed playing golf and duplicate bridge. She and her husband were longtime members of the Elkhart Duplicate Bridge Club. In San Diego, she was a member of Temple Beth Israel.
She is survived by her husband; son, Jay Rosen of New York City; a daughter, Karla Rosen of San Jose, California; and a granddaughter.
A brother, Irvin Abroms, preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Thursday (today) at Anshei Sfard Cemetery, 721 Locust Lane.
Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.

Alyssa Rose Welenken, of Prospect, beloved infant daughter of Rhonda and Eric Welenken passed away on Sunday.
She is survived by her brother, Gregory and her grandparents Toni and Joseph Ernst and Martin and Alice Welenken. She is also survived by her uncle, Michael Ernst and her aunt, Nikki Russman.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Helene Zemon.
There will be a graveside service Wednesday (today) at Adath Jeshurun Cemetery.
