JOHN JOSEPH REARDON
FAIRHOPE - John Joseph "Jack" Reardon, a native of Boston and a resident of Fairhope, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999. He was 73 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Toni Reardon of Fairhope; one son, David Reardon of Fort Myers, Fla.; two daughters, Peter Anne Weiss of Dallas and Jamie Sturm of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers, Lawrence Reardon and Thomas Reardon, both of Boston, and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with Father Gordon Milsted officiating. Burial will take place in Memory Gardens in Fairhope.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Mercy Medical Hospice in Daphne, the Visitation Monastery in Mobile, or the St. Lawrence Catholic Church building fund.
Funeral arrangements are by Wolfe Funeral Home in Fairhope.
ELOISE LASSITTER TYREE
McCULLOUGH - Eloise Lassitter Tyree, 64, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, in McCullough. She had been a resident of the community for 48 years and attended the Gospel Light Church there.
Mrs. Tyree had been an employee of Vanity Fair for 37 years and a homemaker after retirement.
Survivors include her husband, V.L. "Snooks" Tyree of McCullough; two sons, Edward "Shorty" Tyree and Eugene Tyree, both of Atmore; two daughters, Annice Barnhill of Phillipsville and Pam Ridlehoover of Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland; a brother, Jesse Lassitter of Milton; four sisters, Jewel Belise of Milton, Jean Steele and Georgia Owens, both of Pensacola, and Hilda Booth of Mobile; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today at Gospel Light Church. The Rev. Martin Gehman will officiate and burial will follow in McCullough Cemetery.

Gloria Hughes
Gloria Mae Jones Hughes, a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Prichard, died Tuesday - four days before her 78th birthday.
Mrs. Hughes was a native of St. Louis and a resident of Mobile.
Survivors include 12 children, Rita Hughes Rembert, Marsha Bell, Johnnie Mae Wells, Preston Williams, Cathy Hughes Wells and Octavia Bell, all of Mobile, Lottie Ann Hughes of Fort Valley, Ga., Inez Neal of Highland, Calif., Diane L. Wright of Italy, Gloria E. Truesdale, Moses L. Hughes and Nancy A. White, all of Rock Hill, S.C.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2934 St. Stephens Road, with the rosary recited at 1130 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at noon. Burial will be in Casher Cemetery, with Christian Benevolent Funeral Home handling arrangements.

Hilda C. Singley
SILAS - Hilda Cooper Singley, a former clerk, died Tuesday at an area hospital. She was 77.
Mrs. Singley was a native and resident of Silas.
Survivors include a daughter, Rebekah S. Wimberly of Silas; a brother, P.F. Cooper; and a sister, Erclee Singley, both of Mobile; and three grandchildren.
Services are set for 3 p.m. today at Bumpers Funeral Home in Pine Mill, with burial in Cooper's Chapel Cemetery in Silas.

S.J. Whisenhunt Sr.
MONTGOMERY - Savage J. Whisenhunt Sr., a former resident of Monroe County and longtime educator, died Friday in a local hospital. He was 91.
The Montgomery resident was a 1946 graduate of Alabama State University. He served as a supervisor and principal at high schools in Atmore, Beatrice and Anderson, Ala.
He retired from ASU, where he had served as executive director of the Alabama State University Foundation.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel Whisenhunt; and a son, Savage Whisenhunt Jr.
Services took place Monday at St. John's AME Church in Montgomery. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, with White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home in charge.
Memorials may be made to the S.J. Whisenhunt Memorial Scholarship Fund, ASU Foundation, P.O. Box 1046, Montgomery, AL 36101-1046.
Annie M. Poole
SPRING HILL, Fla. - Annie M. Poole, a former resident of Choctaw County and resident of Spring Hill, died Sunday at her home. She was 97.
Mrs. Poole, a native of Cuba, Ala., was a former nurse.
Survivors include four sons, Conde R. Smith of Summerville, S.C., Rodney M. Smith of Los Alemedes, Calif., Asa F. Whitfield of Douglas, Ga., and James Kenneth Allen of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter, Frances S. Hastings of Lizella, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services are set for 11 a.m. today at Bumpers Funeral Home in Butler, Ala., with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Pennington, Ala.

Mr. Andy Campbell
A native of Roan Mountain, TN and a resident of Mobile County for almost 40 years, died Wednesday, November 17, 1999 at his residence. Mr. Campbell was a Veteran of th e United States Navy, serving in WWII. He retired fr om the Navy after 35 years of active and reserve duty. He was a member of VFW Po st #49. He is survived by his daughter and son in la w, Colleen & Mike Phillips of Pensacola, FL; one brother, J.C. Campbell of Mobil e; two sisters, Bertha C. Tatum of Mobile and Idell Henley of Johnson City, TN; two grandchildren, Scott and Nicole Phillips; nieces , nephews and other relatives and friends. William B. Emrich
70. A native of Mobile and a resident of Indio, California, died at his home on November 13, 1999. Mr. Emrich, an avid fisherman, was a Navy veteran and a former crytogr apher with the State Department stationed in Rome, I taly, and a counselor at Mission of Hope in Mobile. He was predeceased by his pa rents, Eugene P. and Mary C. Emrich; three sisters, Sr. Mary Emrich, S.L., Dorothy Emrich and Regina Calametti and by one brother, J ohn E. Emrich. Mr. Emrich is survived by one sister, Evelyn (Buford) Perry, one sister-in-law, Louise (Mrs. John E.) Emrich, numerou s nieces and nephews and by special friends, Renee, Trevor and Courtney Page. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 20, at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne.

A native of Marysville, Kansas and a long time resident of Mobile died on Monday, November 15, 1999 at the age of 74. She was preceded in death by her husban d, Orville P. Harbaugh of Mobile and her father and mother, Burnell and Myrtle Lynxwiler of Marysville, Kansas. She is survived by two stepchildren, Dr. Paige Harbaugh and Aaron Harbaugh; two daughters-in-law, Dr. Tara Wah and Celeste Harbaugh; four grandchildren, Sam, Britni, Jacque and Sara Harbaugh. Survivors also include, aunts, Fern Barker and Delora Young; an uncle, Bill Lynxwiler; life long friends, Patricia Rodgers, Jerry and Janet Roge rs, Gloria Turner and Bill and Betty Carpenter. Mrs. Christine S. Bell
68, of Midwest City passed away Wednesday, November 17, 1999. She was born May 15, 1931, in Brewton, AL. She graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile, AL, where she resided for 36 years then relocated to Midwest City in 1967. She has been a dedicated Christian, wife and mother for 50 years. She is survived by her mother, Vivian of Mobile, AL, a son, Robert of Nicoma Park; daughters, Susan of Yorba Linda, CA, Elizabeth of Nicoma Park and Catherine of Del City; 10 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandson. Christine owned Bells Christian Bookstore in Nicoma Park for 7 years and was an active member of the Woodmen of the World Fraternity and Midwest City First Baptist Church. Ratha Pettaway
A native of Minter, AL, born March 11, 1905 passed Thursday, November 11, 1999 at a local health care facility. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Maggie Simon. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ike Pettaway and two brothers, Burlee Hunter and C.D. Simon. She was a member of St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church.
