Cyril C. DeLisle (1912 - 2002)
Cyril Camille DeLisle, 89, of Bryan, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at his residence.
Born Dec. 27, 1912, in Detroit, Mich., to Alice (Mooney) and Edward M. DeLisle, he married Grace Lenore Hitt in 1950 in Angola, Ind., and she survives.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the Merchant Marines from 1942-1946 as a Marine Engineer. A farmer, boiler operator at Aro Corporation and a millwright at Great Lakes Steel in Ecorse, Mich., he was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, a Christopher and was active in the St. Patrick Catholic Church Lay Ministry.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. Alex (Grace Lenore) Hajdu of Dundee, Mich.; a son, Cyril J. (and wife, Doreen) DeLisle of Stryker; a sister, Mrs. Alice Charles of Taylor, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Andrew and Sarah DeLisle of Stryker and Cyril J. and John Hajdu of Dundee.
Preceding him in death were 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, Bryan with a Rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan with the Rev. Father Charles Ritter to officiate. Burial will follow at Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan.
Memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or an organization of the donor's choice.
Wesley A. Sabins (1944 - 2002)
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Wesley A. Sabins, 57, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Friday, May 31, 2002, at his residence.
Born Dec. 22, 1944, in Taunton, Mass., he had been a resident of Fort Wayne for the past 26 years.
A meat manager for Kroger and a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, he was an avid marathon runner. Surviving are his wife, Connie J. (Mills) Sabins of Fort Wayne; a son, Wesley Aric Sabins of Roxboro, N.C.; a daughter, Tiffani T. Cochran of Concord, N.C.; five brothers, Bill and Steve Sabins of Bryan, Ohio, Ron Sabins of West Unity, Ohio, Wayne Cagle of Bryan, Ohio and John Cagle of Ney, Ohio; three sisters, Patricia Hill of Marco Island, Fla., Sandra Burns of Bryan, Ohio and Susan Cagle of Farmer, Ohio; and three grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Helen (Riley) and Norman Cagle.
Visitation will be held Monday from 6-9 p.m. in the D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. A graveside service will also be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. (2 p.m. Ohio Time) in the Browns Cemetery, Bryan, Ohio.

Nedra Lou Smith Tipping (1940 - 2002)
NAPOLEON - Nedra Lou Smith Tipping, 61, of Napoleon, died Saturday morning, June 1, 2002, in her home.
Born Oct. 14, 1940, in Defiance County, to Betty (Cole) Hartwick and Alva Smith, she married John H. Tipping on Feb. 2, 1963, and he survives.
A housewife and mother, she was a long time, active member of the First Baptist Church in Defiance and later the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene. A member of DAR, she was a 1958 graduate of Sherwood High School. In later years, she pursued education in prison ministries through course work at Taylor University. She also volunteered for many organizations including the Maumee Valley Youth Center, the Cherry Street Mission and the Sparrow's Nest.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, John M. Tipping of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. William (Kelly J.) Oberlin of Indonesia and Tisha L. Tipping of Houston, Texas; her mother, Betty Hartwick of Defiance; four grandchildren; three brothers, Fred Smith of Snow Lake, Ind., Edgar Smith of Cecil and Doug Smith of Missouri City, Texas.
Preceding her in death was her father in October 2000.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3-9 p.m. in the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the church with the Rev. David Lutz to officiate. Interment
will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Maplewood Cemetery, Toledo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sparrow's Nest Ministry, Toledo, or the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene.
Arrangements are in care of the Walker Mortuary, Napoleon.
Kathlyn Sproat Wassenaar (1908 - 2002)
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. - Kathlyn Sproat Wassenaar, 93, of Heritage Health Center, Hendersonville, N.C., and formerly of Twin Springs Drive, Greenville, S.C., died Thursday, May 30, 2002.
Born Sept. 3, 1908, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Eva (Sholes ) and Clayton Sproat, she married Howard J. Wassenaar on July 20, 1939 and he preceded her in death in 1993.
Residing in Michigan, Florida and Ohio, they then moved to Greenville in 1975. She was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for more than 70 years, serving as leader in the various Children's Divisions and Youth Program. She was currently a member of the Hendersonville Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Judy K. White of Greenville; a son, David H. Wassenaar of Walla Walla, Wash.; five grandchildren, Patricia K. Burriss, Thomas M. White II, Rebecca R. Smallwood, Felina L. Wassenaar and David H. Wassenaar II; and three great-grandchildren, Gray Smallwood, Brantli Burriss and Bryson Smallwood.
Visitation was held Sunday from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Mackey Mortuary, Greenville, S.C. Funeral services were to be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the mortuary with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Frederic W. Wyman (1924 - 2002)
PIONEER - Frederic W. Wyman, 78, of Pioneer, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, in the Dilworth Center, Montpelier.
Born March 27, 1924, in Pioneer, to Belva (Custer) and Frank Wyman, he married Helen Esterline on Nov. 30, 1946, and she survives.
A 1943 graduate of Pioneer High School, he was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army anti-aircraft artillery forces, having served in Korea and Okinawa. In 1986, he retired as Pioneer Postmaster after 34 years of service with the United States Postal Service. Also, he was a part-time custodian for the North Central Schools. A clerk of Madison Township for 24 years, he was a member of Pioneer American Legion and the Pioneer Methodist Church having served as Sunday School superintendent and sang in the choir for many years. He was honored by the Pioneer Summer Recreation Program for having over 40 years of service as an umpire and coach, by naming the Old Mill Diamond as "Fred Wyman Field."
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Dennis (and wife, Dawn) Wyman of Wellington and Randy (Deborah) Wyman of Pioneer; a daughter, Bonnie Nicole of Angola, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Marshall (Joan) Leslie of Stryker; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was a granddaughter, Jessica Terrell.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-8 p.m. in Thompson Funeral Home, Pioneer.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Pioneer United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lee Ortman to officiate. Interment
will be at Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer, with graveside military rites conducted by the Agnew-Shinabarger American Legion Post of Pioneer.
Memorials may be made to the Pioneer United Methodist Church.
Bill F. Beagle (1949 - 2002)
William Franklin Beagle, 52, of Bryan, died Friday, May 31, 2002, from an extended illness, in his home.
Born in Trinity, Texas, on June 12, 1949, to the late Ollie (Clark) and Frank Beagle, he married Cheri L. Nowak on June 20, 1970, and she survives and lives in Bryan.
A graduate of the Greensburg High School in Greensburg, Ind. in 1967, he began employment at the Bryan Times in Bryan in 1968. After 31 years of service, he retired due to illness in June of 2000 as the production manager. He was a member of the Lions Club of Bryan.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Eric (and wife, Julie) Beagle and Mark (Virginia) Beagle, both of Bryan; three grandchildren, Clayton, Kalie and Elizabeth Beagle, all of Bryan; two sisters, Darlene Brogan of Greensburg, Ind. and Linda Shebroe of Utah; and a brother, Elroy James Jr. of Lucedale, Miss.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-9 p.m. in the Hollingshead Funeral Home in West Unity.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Donna Stutzman to officiate. Burial will be in the Floral Grove Cemetery in West Unity.
David Joseph Wolford (1967 - 2002)
CECIL - David Joseph Wolford, 35, of Cecil, died Tuesday, May 28, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident north of Paulding.
Born Jan. 3, 1967, in Defiance, to Mary (Losh) and Lloyd Wolford, he married Tammy William on July 23, 1992, in Corbin, Ky., and she survives.
A 1985 graduate of Paulding High School, he was a fuel attendant at the Vagabond Village. On June 15, 2002, he was to have received his degree from ITT, Fort Wayne, Ind., as a Network System Technician. Formerly, he had worked for the Ferris Family Farms and Tomco Plastics of Bryan.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his mother, Mary of Defiance; six children, Tessia, Kyle, Eric, David Jr., Dustin and Jared, all in the Paulding area; four sisters, Mrs. Larry (Anna) Bryant of Hayden, Ala., Mrs. Douglas (Carrie) Pergram and Paula Wolford, all of Defiance, and Mrs. Rick (Rita) VanCleve of Paulding; and a brother, Larry Wolford of Paulding.
Preceding him in death were his father, Lloyd, and brothers, William and James Wolford. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-9 p.m. and Saturday from 8-11 a.m. in the Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Losh to officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Paulding.

Arlene Nelson (1926 - 2002)
Aileen L. Nelson, 76, of Bryan, died early Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at her residence, as a result of lung cancer.
Born May 7, 1926, in Bryan, to Laura (Struble) and Glenn Spire Sr., she married Percy Nelson on Nov. 27, 1954, in Auburn, Ind., and he survives.
She had been employed by Bryan Custom Plastics in the shipping department for 26 years before her retirement.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. James (Roberta) Dell of Bryan and Bonnie Manley of Montpelier; five grandsons, Jeremy Miller of Montpelier, Taylor, Charles and Samuel Dell, all of Bryan, and Ian Manley of Montpelier; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Eldora Travis of Hillsdale, Mich.; and a brother, Ronald Spire of Dandridge, Tenn.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Daniel Miller and two infants, Barry Miller and Sharon Miller; a sister, Janice Grieser; and a brother, Glenn C. Spire Jr.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-8 p.m. in the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, Bryan. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. David Miller to officiate.

E. Donald Wredling
(1917 - 2002)
OCONOMOWOC, Wis. - E. Donald Wredling, 84, of Oconomowoc, and formerly of Aurora, Ill., died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Watertown Memorial Hospital.
The son of Alma (Johnson) and Hugo Wredling, he was born Dec. 15, 1917, in Aurora, Ill. On May 24, 1958, he married Mary C. Canda, originally of Bryan, Ohio, and she survives.
He worked 43 years with Barber-Greene Comp. in Aurora, where he was assistant to the president in personnel. He was also a volunteer at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, and was a captain in the Army Corp of Engineers during World War II.
He was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Oconomowoc.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are four children, Barbara Featherstone of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, David (and wife, Nancy) Wredling of Cordova, Tenn., Mrs. Paul (Mary Beth) Hoefle of Sullivan, and Nancy Wredling of Batavia, Ill.; two brothers, John Wredling of St. Charles, Ill., and Carl Wredling of Aurora; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Margaret) Jurgelonis of Montgomery, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Private family services were held in the Schmidt & Bartelt Notbohm-Kreutzmann Funeral Home in Oconomowoc, with the Rev. Susan Lockman officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church or to the Divine Redeemer Lutheran School.
Bernadine Zimmerman
(1907 - 2002)
ARCHBOLD - Bernadine Zimmerman, 94, of Archbold, died Sunday evening, May 26, 2002, at Fulton Manor Nursing Home in Wauseon, where she had resided since Dec. 22, 2000.
Born July 23, 1907, at rural Napoleon, to Lou (Zook) and Fred Hefflinger, she married Alfred Zimmerman on July 26, 1924, and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1974.
An Archbold area resident for most of her life, she was a cook at the former Country Squire Restaurant in Archbold and since at Smith's Restaurant in Wauseon. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church at Burlington.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Dale (Lucille) Grime of Wauseon, Mrs. Vernon (Lois) Schroeder of Archbold and Mrs. Alan (Judy) Colvin of Pelham, Ala.; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Zimmerman of Archbold; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; two sons, John Zimmerman and Richard Zimmerman; four grandchildren; nine brothers, Guy Hefflinger, Walter "Chubb" Hefflinger, Orley Hefflinger, Charles Hefflinger, Archeld "Dutch" Hefflinger, Donald "Deed" Hefflinger, Eugene Hefflinger, and two in infancy; and six sisters, Ola Ward, Donna Reed, Dora Brink, Gladys Crampton, Marie "Bunt" Anderson and Jenny Legg.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. in the Short Funeral Home in Archbold. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. James Lutheran Church with Pastor James Strawn to officiate. Interment
will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.

Frank Sargent Fraker
(1922 - 2002)
DELTA - Frank Sargent Fraker, 79, of Delta, died Sunday, May 26, 2002, at the Fulton County Health Center.
Born May 27, 1922, in Delta, to Margaret (Dart) and William H. Fraker, he married Ruth Lind on July 21, 1951, in Wauseon, and she survives.
A graduate of Delta High School and Michigan State University, he served as a gunnerŐs mate in the U.S. Coast Guard from Oct. 1942 to March 1946. A 57-year member of the American Legion Post 373 of Delta, he retired from Liquid Air Corporation in Holland.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 50 years, are daughters, Patrice Fraker of Toledo and Mrs. Tom (Amy) Miller of Wauseon; and a granddaughter, Natalie Miller.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers, Richard and Robert.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home, 501 Main St., Delta. American Legion services will be Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Eric Markovich and Pam Short to officiate. Interment
will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery of Delta.

Francis A. Kenner
(1919 - 2002)
HICKSVILLE - Francis A. Kenner, 83, formerly of Hicksville and a resident of St. Anne Home, Fort Wayne, Ind., for the past two years, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Born Jan. 6, 1919, at Hicksville, to Veronika (Heil) and Ambrose Kenner, he married Mary F. Fortner on Feb. 12, 1955 and she preceded him in death on Sept. 17, 2000.
A 1937 graduate of Hicksville High School, he was a plumber with Kenner Brothers Plumbing and Heating, Hicksville. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Hicksville.
Surviving are a son, Larry Kenner of Fort Wayne.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife, were a son, Gregory in 1962; two brothers, John and George Kenner; three sisters, Mary Arend, Regina Meyer and Madonna Schortgen.
Visitation will be held Wednesday after 6 p.m. in the Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Forest Home Cemetery, Hicksville, with Father Thomas Oedy to officiate.
