Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with the Rev. Wesley Ball officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald C. and Judy Fagert of Wooster, a daughter, Clara Terry of Wooster, a stepson, Harold Richmond of Florida, and stepdaughters, Sharon Joy Wilson of Tallahassee, Fla., and Diane Williams of Creston; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Francis E. Fagert of Florida.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. -- Benjamin F. Greene, 87, formerly of Millersburg, died Wednesday, July 22, in the home where he was living in Bellingham, Wash. His two daughters, Sharon McCoy and Kris Wilcox were by his side. Survivors include his brother, Philip Stickney Greene of Redmond, N.Y., and Elizabeth Behme of Columbus; his daughters, Kristin Wilcox of Holly Springs, N.C., and Sharon McCoy of Bellingham, Wash.; and five grandsons, Scott, Matthew and Andrew Wilcox, and Jeremiah and Christopher McCoy. BURBANK -- Clifford N. Sigler, 48, of 2316 W. Pleasant Home Road, died Friday, July 31, at home following a short illness. There will be no services. Cremation takes place on Monday. ORRVILLE -- Jalen Ray Adkins, infant son of Dwayne Ray Adkins and Stephanie Melia Williams of Orrville, died Thursday, July 30 in the emergency room at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, of complications from apparent natural causes. Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Mount Eaton Cemetery, with the Rev. Claude L. McComas officiating. There will be no calling hours. Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, is handling arrangements. Surviving in addition to his parents are maternal grandparents, Joyce Cotton of Creston and Thomas Williams of Dalton; and paternal grandmother, Linda J. Adkins of Orrville.

Services were held today (Monday) at 11 a.m. at Deckman-Bartley Funeral Home in Malvern. The Rev. A. Wallace Anderson officiated. Burial was at Bethlehem Cemetery. Surviving in addition to her brother and sister are two sons, Dallas (Velda) Daugherty of Muskogee, Okla. and Jerry (Joyce) Crowl of Malvern; a daughter, Ruth (Cecil) Lillie of Canton; two stepsons, Robert Crowl of Malvern and Don Crowl of California; a stepdaughter, Joy Kay Moore of Canal Fulton; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

WOOSTER -- James D. Holden, 66, 6914 Nonpariel Road, died Saturday, Aug. 1, at Wooster Community Hospital, following a long illness. There will be no services or calling hours. AKRON -- Evelyn Forrer Rock, 87, of Akron and formerly of Rittman, died Thursday, July 30 at Manor Care, Akron, following a period of declining health. ORRVILLE -- Frank Kencec, 77, 11563 Back Massillon Road, Orrville, died Saturday morning, August 8, at his residence following a period of declining health. The body will be cremated. A private family burial of the cremains will take place in the Mount Prospect Cemetery near Hickory, Pa. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. Arrangements were handled by Auble Funeral Home in Orrville. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Bill DeHart of Orrville, Nancy and Phil Paterniti of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Nick Kencec and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Doreen Kencec and Joey and Marlene Kencec, all of Pennsylvania; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Sophie and Joe Paklumba of Florida, Wilma and Frank Munsky, Mary and Ed DeBlander, all of Pennsylvania and Agie and Bob Cook of Florida and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty Willard
RITTMAN -- Betty L. Willard, 50, 2 Lincoln Drive, died Friday, Aug. 7, at the Hospice Care Center in Akron. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman with the Rev. Bret Deffenbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333. Surviving are a son, James Willard of Doylestown; two daughters, Jennifer Willard of Seville and Janell Willard of Rittman; a stepbrother, Ed Lower of Medina and two sisters, Laura Shook of Rittman and Sandy Lower of Norton.

Kathryn Depler
ASHLAND -- Kathryn Maxine Depler, 85, of Ashland, died Saturday morning, Aug. 8, at Kingston of Ashland, where she had been a resident. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Van Hove Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Sanford C. Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Rowsburg Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center St., Ashland 44805. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Richard Bush and Becky and Thomas Huff, all of Ashland; two sons, Franklin George Depler of Stow and Raymond Karl Depler of Columbus; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Chester "Bud" Miller
SHREVE -- Chester B. "Bud" Miller, 71, of 8919 Millersburg Road, died Friday, August 7, 1998, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13th at the Shreve United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Stull officiating. Friends may call anytime at the residence. The family suggest memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525A Back Orrville Road, Wooster, OH 44691 or to the American Cancer Society, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster, OH 44691. Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Jon (Peggy) Hodge of Wooster, Mrs. Stan (Eva) Foster of Nicholasville, Ky., Mrs. R.J. (Marty) Black of Wooster, SFC Chris Moore of El Paso, Texas, John (Wendy) Moore of Los Angeles, Calif., Blake (Karen) Miller of Shreve, and Patrick (Julie) Miller of Burbank. Four grandchildren, Jonathan and Rebecca Hodge, Katie Graening and Jared Black. Two step-grandchildren, Christy and Julie Foster.

Henry Baldridge
SHELBY -- Henry C. "Hank" Baldridge, 72, 2831 E. Smiley Ave., died Saturday, Aug. 8, in MedCentral/Shelby Hospital, following a battle with cancer. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Barkdull Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Becker officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Surviving are his wife, Annette (Plank) Shilling Baldridge; a son, David Baldridge of Shelby; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra and Mike Meeker and Tamera Argo, all of Shelby; a stepson, Charles Shilling of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Miles of Shreve; 10 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Wayne and Jack Baldridge, both of Mansfield, Ivan Baldridge of Columbus, Paul Baldridge of Shelby and Gaylord Baldridge of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Audrey Patton of Shelby and Alene Brockhoeft of Dallas, Texas; nieces; nephews; and other relatives in the area.

JEROMESVILLE -- Guy M. Smith, 86, 1939 Township Road 405, died Saturday morning, Aug. 8, at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland. Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Mohicanville Community Church with the Rev. Ken Archer officiating. Burial will be at the Jeromesville Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville or one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Way of Ashland County or the Jeromesville Emergency Squad. Surviving are his wife, Lois Bernhard Smith; a daughter, Mrs. Jim (Wilma) McKinley of Jeromesville; a son, Rex Smith of Jeromesville; three stepchildren, Mrs. John (Jean) Steward and Mrs. Ted (Janice) Glenn, both of Ashland and James Bernhard of Shiloh; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mary E. McGovern of Jeromesville.
