Johnston Jr., a founding member of the law partnership of Critchfield, Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston in Wooster, Ohio, died Sunday, August 16, 1998 at the age of 82, after an extended illness. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Marie (Wolf) Johnston, whom he married Sept. 6, 1947; sons and daughters-in-law, John C. and Gennie S. of Wooster and Gordon W. and Catherine T. of Columbus; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth "Beth", Douglas, Amy and Ty; a sister, Marilynn (Mrs. C.P.) Surviving are his wife, Marion (Dennis) Hodge, whom he married June 19, 1949; children, Cherie Brasee, Daniel and Tamara Hodge, Deborah and James Morris, Jon and Peggy Hodge, Thomas and Bonnie Hodge, Laurie and Richard Harsh, and Joel Hodge; 13 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; a great-grandchild; four step-great-grandchildren; brothers and a sister, Robert Hodge of Canal Fulton, Richard Hodge of Shreve, and Sevilla Jewell of Wooster. BRANTLEY, Ala. -- R.T. "Tom" Stradley Jr., 49, P.O. Box 147-A, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, at his residence from an accidental drowning. He was the son-in-law of Maxine Wirt of Wooster. Burial was in Glenwood, Ala. Surviving in addition to his mother-in-law and wife, are a daughter, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.
