SUGARCREEK -- James Hershberger, infant son of Owen M. and Fannie J. (Troyer) Hershberger, of 3280 County Road 114, died shortly after birth on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Akron Children's Hospital. Services will be today (Saturday) at 2 p.m. at the Hershberger residence with the Bishop Crist M. Yoder officiating. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery in Holmes County. Arrangements are being handled by Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek. Surviving in addition to his parents are brothers, Willis and Eddie Hershberger and sisters, Elsie and Naomi Hershberger, all of the home; grandparents, Mose E. and Mary Hershberger of Sugarcreek and Jonas M. S. Troyer of Fresno.

WOOSTER -- Tauno N. Lintala, 82, of 2068 Christmas Run, Wooster, Ohio, died Thursday evening, Nov. 5, at the Wooster Community Hospital. Mr. Lintala is survived by his wife, Theo, of 60 years. Their four children, Toini Reese of Columbus, Vikki Jurs of Brockport, N.Y., Erik Lintala of Massapequa, N.Y., and Peter Lintala of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

DAYTON -- Rev. Alvin C. Kanagy, 71, died Friday morning, Nov. 6, at the home of his daughter, with whom he had been living since December, 1997. Prior to this he lived in Chambersburg, Pa. Memorial services will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Weavers Mennonite Church with the Revs. Jospeh C. Shenk, Leon Schrock and Ray Geigly officiating.
