Born Jan. 17, 1922 in Renovo, she was the daughter of the late William and Edna Thorsten Hallberg. She had resided in the Erie area since 1947.
Her husband of 56 years, survives.

She was married to Karl V. Beck. He survives.

Born Dec. 9, 1923 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Florence Dorman Laubach. She was married to J. Arlington Young, who preceded her in death October of 1994.

JERSEY SHORE — Mary Madeline Bradley, 86, who resided with her daughter, Mary Ann Baney of Farrandsville for seven years, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001 in the Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born Nov. 30, 1914 in Lock Haven, she was the daughter of the late John and Eva McCloskey Lachat. She was a 1934 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
She and her husband, James E. Bradley, were united in marriage Sept. 8, 1934 in St. Agnes Church, Lock Haven. He preceded her in death Aug. 7, 1993.

ALTOONA — Sheldon Bitner, 87, of 10 N. Mallard St., Mill Hall, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001 in the James E. Van Zandt Veterans Medical Center, Altoona.
Born Oct. 8, 1913 in Beech Creek Township, he was the son of the late Christie E. and Catherine Bartholomew Bitner. He was a graduate of Beech Creek High School.
He and his wife, the former Faye I. McCloskey, were married on Feb. 12, 1941. She preceded him in death Feb. 12, 1985.

LOCK HAVEN — Frank T. Miller, 74, of Mill Hall, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001 in the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit.
Born March 21, 1926 in Mill Hall, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna Phillips Miller.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgia A. Nestlerode Miller, in 1987 and his second wife, Jean Wagner Miller, in 1988.

NORRISTOWN — Sharon Louise Grand Harootunian, 48, of 2310 Oakland Drive, Norristown, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2000 in the Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, where she had been admitted Dec. 15. She had been in failing health for the past eight months.
Born Aug. 21, 1952 in Wilkinsburg, she was the daughter of Barbara Cann Grand of Monroeville and the late Thomas F. Grand Sr., who died in July of 1985. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, Edward A. Harootunian Jr., whom she married Aug. 9, 1989.

Born July 27, 1929 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Harry E. Wilson and the former Metta E. Stephenson.
His wife, the former Mary K. Barger Domino, survives.

Born Dec. 30, 1911, in Jersey Shore, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. Clarke and the former A. Mabel Cree. She was a 1929 graduate of Jersey Shore High School.
She and Oliver F. Hunter were united in marriage on March 1, 1966. Her husband preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1988.

Born May 2, 1910 in Dusseldorf, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Daxberger.
She was united in marriage on Oct. 24, 1946 to Harry Edward Watkins Jr., who preceded her in death on March 19, 1994.
