Ralph E. Sayer Jr.
Ralph E. Sayer Jr., 74, of R.R. 1 Box 400 C-2, Lock Haven (Youngdale), died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 in the Williamsport Hospital. He had entered the hospital March 15, 2001.
He was born July 7, 1926 in McElhattan, and was the son of the late Ralph E. and Rebecca Staver Sayers Sr.
Graveside funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Linnwood Cemetery, McElhattan, with full military honors.
Friends will be received in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, Friday evening, 7 to 9 p.m.
Lester C. Seyler
Lester C. Seyler, 89, of Blanchard, died early Wednesday morning, April 4, 2001 in the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit.
Born March 5, 1912 in Loganton, he was the son of Turbet Seyler and the former Maude Matter.
He is survived by his wife, the former Rilla G. Cashner. They were united in marriage Nov. 25, 1937 in Loganton.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, Main and Water streets, Loganton. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening in the funeral home. Rev. John Confer, his pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Rosecrans.
Vito F. Riccardo
Vito F. Riccardo of Island Route, Lock Haven, died Monday, April 2, 2001 in his residence.
Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven.

Gertrude E. Grubb
Gertrude E. Grubb, 78, of 137 Haupt Ave., Bellefonte, died Monday, April 2, 2001 in Centre Community Hospital, State College.
Born Jan. 9, 1923 in Mill Hall, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Louise Delaney Myers.
She was married to Elmer L. Grubb on July 22, 1946 in West Virginia. He preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1990. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Wetzler Funeral Home, 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte. Father D. Timothy Grimme will officiate. Burial will be in Advent Cemetery, Boggs Township. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 134 E. Bishop St., Bellefonte, Pa. 16823.
Charles N. Barton
Charles N. Barton, 81, of Renovo, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001 in Bucktail Medical Center.
He was born in Haneyville on Jan. 9, 1920, a son of the late James N. and Tammy Jane Button Barton.
His first wife, Alma Barton, preceded him in death in January 1981. His second wife, Marjorie Conway Barton of Renovo, whom he married in Renovo on Oct. 26, 1996, survives. Memorial funeral services will be held at the North Bend United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Friday with Pastor John Godissart officiating. Private family committal services will be held at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Maxwell Funeral Home of Renovo is in charge of the arrangements.

Michelle A. Castonguay
Michelle Ann Castonguay, 22, of Scranton, formerly of Lock Haven, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 30, 2001 at Community Medical Center, Scranton.
She was born on Jan. 15, 1979 in Flemington, a daughter of Dennis and Suzanne Moreau Castonguay of Lock Haven.
Visitation will be at the Fortin Funeral Home in Lewiston, Maine today. The funeral will be held at Holy Cross Church, also in Lewiston, Maine at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2001. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston, Maine.
Additionally there will be a memorial Mass on Saturday, April 7, 2001 at St. Agnes Church in Lock Haven.
In lieu of flowers, the family will accept donations for a scholarship fund in her name at the University of Scranton that will be established at a later date.
Donald L. Overdorf
Donald L. Overdorf, 77, of 622 Indian Road, Clearfield, died Saturday in Mount Laurel Nursing Center in Clearfield. He had been a resident of Clearfield for 40 years.
He was born Dec. 24, 1923 in Nippenose Valley, Lycoming County, a son of Addison and Minnie Bower Overdorf.
He was married to the former Mabel Ellen Moyer on June 22, 1941, and she survives.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. in the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with his pastor, Rev. Dr. Dwane White, officiating. Interment
will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends will be received from noon until 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions be made to either the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, R.R. 2 Clearfield, Pa. 16830, or the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 71 N. Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, Pa. 18701.
Sarah E. McAleer
Sarah E. McAleer, 49, of HCR 75, Lock Haven, died Saturday, March 31, 2001 in Lock Haven Hospital.
Born April 27, 1951 in Lilly, she was the daughter of Rita Bradley of Johnstown and the late Patrick F. McAleer.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Anne H. Snyder
Anne H. Snyder, 76, of R.R. 2 Mill Hall, died Saturday, March 31, 2001 in Williamsport Hospital.
Born Dec. 11, 1924 in Mineral Point, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Elizabeth Jagerts. She was a 1941 graduate of the Johnstown High School.
She was married to Charles W. Snyder in 1946. He survives.
Funeral services and interment
will be held at 10 a.m. April 3, 2001 in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Mill Hall. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are being handled by the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall.
Timothy E. Shelley
Timothy E. Shelley, 40, of 357 W. Park St., Lock Haven, died Saturday, March 31, 2001 in his residence.
Born Dec. 14, 1960 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Chester and Marjorie Confer Moyer. He attended school in Lock Haven.
On April 25, 1986 in St. Agnes Church, Lock Haven, he married Maria L. Barzona, she survives.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. April 4 in the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Rev. Neil R. Dadey. Committal will be at St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
James N. Connor
James N. Connor, 67, formerly of Jeanette, and a resident of Mackeyville for 40 years, died Saturday, March 31, 2001 in Williamsport Hospital.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, the former Mary Ellen Yearick, whom he married July 11, 1959 in Hublersburg.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall. Revs. Eric and Anka Deibler will officiate. Friends will be received from noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to a memorial fund to the church through the Dean K.
