Sandra Borlase Brown
Sandra Borlase Brown, 46, of 111 W. Water St., Lock Haven, died Friday, June 28, 2002 at her residence after an extended illness.
Born Nov. 25, 1955 in Malvern, she was the daughter of William G. and Margaret M. Weiser Brown.
Her mother, with whom she resided, survives.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1994.
A memorial mass will be held at noon, Saturday, July 6, 2002 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 310 W. Water St., Lock Haven. The Rev. Daniel O’Neill will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. to noon. Interment
will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.

Richard J. Underkoffler, 60, of 1706 Bull Run Road, Loganton, died Saturday, June 29, 2002 at his home.
He married Joy K.U. Snyder on June 26, 1971, she survives.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 3 at the deceased’s residence, 1706 Bull Run Road, Loganton, with Rev. Eric Deibler officiating. Burial will be private, and there will be no visitation.
Duane G. Kline
Duane G. Kline, 49, Pleasant Gap, died June 29, 2002 in Walker Township, Centre County.
Born Jan. 13, 1953 in Lock Haven, he was a son of Ray B. Jr. and Jere Lynn Hendricks Kline of Bellefonte.
His wife, Susan E. Solt Daughenbaugh, survives.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at 3 p.m. in the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, Milesburg, with Rev. Robert “Bo” King of Julian officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Richard A. Shultz
Richard A. Shultz, 69, of 679 Bellefonte Ave., Lock Haven, died June 30, 2002 at his residence.
Born Dec. 18, 1932 in Avis, he was a son of the late Lester and Margaret Baysore Shultz.
He and his wife, Frances D. Whittle Shultz, were married Oct. 17, 1959, she survives.
Graveside services will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Wednesday, July 3, 2002 at 11 a.m. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Clinton County Community Nursing Hospice.

Jane Barrow of Jersey Shore died Sunday, June 30, 2002 in Jersey Shore ManorCare.
She was the daughter of William C. Sr. and Beulah Washam Barrow.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Charles A. Eisenhower, 54, of R.R. 1 Hughesville, died Friday, June 28, 2002 in Williamsport Home.
His parents, Chester I. Eisenhower and Kathryn Fisher, survive.

Rose C. Kneedler
Rose C. Kneedler, 80, of 55 Dogwood Drive, Lock Haven, died Thursday, June 27, 2002 at the Susque-View Nursing Home in Lock Haven.
She was born July 27, 1921 in Lock Haven, the daughter of the late Carmen Caprio and Louise Sorriero Caprio.
On Dec. 21, 1942, she married George V. Kneedler, who survives in Lock Haven.
A funeral mass will be Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at 10 a.m. at the St. Agnes Catholic Church, Lock Haven, with Father Neil Dadey officiating. Friends will be received at the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. with the vigil for the deceased at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Lock Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 35 Bellefonte Ave., Lock Haven, or the American Lung Association, 1857 E. Third St., Williamsport.

Gerald D. Getgen, 44, of 333 Spruce St., Jersey Shore, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002 in Jersey Shore Hospital.
He was born March 23, 1958 in Jersey Shore, the son of Larry V. and Bonnie C. Snook Getgen.
His father and companion, Larry V. Getgen and Jennie Runner of Jersey Shore, survive.
His companion, Mary Confer of Jersey Shore, survives.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie C. Getgen.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home Ltd., “A Life Celebration Home,” Jersey Shore.
Alice M. Duck
Alice M. Duck, 76, of 2510 Four Mile Drive, Montoursville, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at her home.
Born in Castanea, Aug. 3, 1925, she was a daughter of John and Sallie Lingle Quiggle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Leroy Duck, who died Nov. 12, 2001.
Funeral and burial in Rest Haven Memorial Park will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church, 369 Broad St., Montoursville, Pa. 17754. Crouse Funeral Home, Williamsport, is handling arrangements.

Gerzon Nagy
Gerzon Nagy, 94, of 51 Pearl St., Lock Haven, died June 25, 2002 in the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit where he had been a resident for the last three months.
Born in Hungary, July 10, 1907, he was the son of the late George and Mary Nagy Nagy.
He is also survived by a special friend, Joseph Rossman, with whom he had resided since September of 1976.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Pastor John Silliman of the St. Luke’ United Church of Christ. Interment
will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Lamar Township. Friends will be received in the funeral home on Friday morning, one hour prior to the services.
Memorials will be accepted to the St. Luke’s United Church of Christ through the funeral home.
Kathryn A. Baney
Kathryn A. Baney, 52, of 350 Huron Ave., Renovo, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002 at the home of her sister in North Bend.
Born July 15, 1949 in Laclado, Mo., she was a daughter of Clarence and Gladys Stufflebean Mitchell.
Services will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation.

G. Boyd Grieb, 88, of Lamar, died on Sunday, June 23, 2002 in the Lock Haven Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1913 near Lamar at the home of his parents, the late Jay S. and Luella Dixon Grieb.
In 1933 he married Vera G. Hoy, who preceded him in death in December 1999. Services will be Wednesday, June 26, at 11 a.m. in the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Mill Hall. Revs. Eric and Anke Deibler, his pastors, will officiate. Interment
will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the Clinton County Historical Society through the funeral home.
Frank A. Brentlinger
Frank A. Brentlinger, 65, of 125 N. Lincoln Ave., Jersey Shore, died Friday, June 21, 2002 in the Williamsport Hospital.
Born Dec. 14, 1936 in Pacific Grove, Calif., he was the son of Debs W. Brentlinger and the former Catherine A. Blais.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marilyn B. Bradley. They were united in marriage June 8, 1958.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 26, at 7 p.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. There will be no public visitation. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Rev. John Welshans and Rev. Wayne Knoebel will officiate.

Clayton L. Bowman
Clayton Lewis Bowman, 41, of Lock Haven, died Saturday, June 22, 2002, in Hyner.
He was born Oct. 8, 1960 in Lock Haven, the son of the late Lewis C. Bowman, and Betty L. Bowman, who survives in Salona.
On Oct. 22, 1994, he married the former Becky Ann Worden, who survives in Lock Haven.
Graveside services will be Thursday, June 27, at 11 a.m. in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, with the Rev. John W. Silliman officiating. Friends will be received in the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., with a special visitation of Jaycees members at 6:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lock Haven Area Jaycees, 352 E. Kenneth E. Haas
Kenneth E. Haas, 85, of Renovo, died in Lock Haven Hospital on Saturday, June 22, 2002.
He was born in Renovo on July 4, 1916, a son of the late Frank and Minnie Heim Haas.
Mr. Haas was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine DePolis Haas, in July 1995.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday with Father Donald Boslett officiating. Interment
will follow in North Bend Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church 30 minutes prior to the mass.

Ronald Edward McGill
Ronald Edward McGill, 65, retired Army, entered into rest Sunday, June 23, 2002 at the Eisenhower Army Medical facility.
His wife, Virgie Ellen McGill, survives.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held Tuesday, June 25, in the South Harlem Memorial Cemetery, Harlem, Ga., with the Army Chaplain Doug Lax officiating.
Ray C. Cooper
Ray C. Cooper, 76, of Endicott, N.Y., died Friday, June 21, 2002.
Born in Rosecrans on Nov. 1, 1925, Ray was the 10th of 11 children of Ernest L. and Roseanna Keiffer Cooper.
He is survived by his wife, Norma.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 26, at 11 a.m. at the Central United Methodist Church, 17 Nanticoke Ave., Endicott, with his pastor, the Rev. Kenneth Wood, officiating. Friends will be received Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Coleman and Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main St., Endicott. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Timothy Bumgarner, 52, of Maple Hill Apartments, 213 Maple Ave., Horsham Township, Horsham, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002, at his home.
He was born Oct. 8, 1949 in Lock Haven, a son of the late Richard L. and Josephine Young Bumgarner.
Services were held Sunday at the John R. Freed Funeral Home, 124 N. Easton Road, Glenside. Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Gladys E. VanHorn
Gladys E. VanHorn, 88, of 13 W. Main St., Loganton, formerly of Lock Haven, died Monday, June 24, 2002 in the Lock Haven Hospital Intensive Care Unit.
She was born Feb. 25, 1914 in Salona, the daughter of the late Glenn and Eva Ricker Emert.
She was married to Howard L. VanHorn, who died Dec. 20, 1989.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 26, at 10 a.m. in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Pastor Jeffrey L. Bayliff of the First Baptist Church, Lock Haven. Interment
will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Dunnstable Township. Friends will be received in the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted to the First Baptist Church through the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patsy A. Bell Aley, at home.

Margaret E. “Monnie” Fredericks, 78, of the Pine Haven Apartments, formerly of 109 W. Main St., Lock Haven, died June 22, 2002 in the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit, where she had been a resident since the end of May.
She was born in Charlotte, N.C., March 31, 1924, the daughter of the late Fred W. and Eumenes Alexander Beadle.
She was married to John W. Fredericks Jr., who preceded her in death on May 24, 1985.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 25, at 10:30 a.m. in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Rev. James VanZandt of the Covenant United Methodist Church, Lock Haven. Friends will be received in the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment

She was born Aug. 30, 1918 in Jersey Shore, the daughter of the late Jacob and Amy Harlen Brownlee. She married Boyd Kreamer, who survives.
