Darren Donald Parker
Darren Donald Parker, 29, of Hendersonville, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord, May 23, 2002 after an extended illness.
His loving wife, Amy C. Parker of Hendersonville and parents Wesley W. and Cathy L. Parker, survive.
He was an active member of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, where a Celebration of Life was held on May 25.

Charles F. McLaughlin Jr.
Charles F. McLaughlin Jr., 72, of 2054 East End Mountain Road, Mill Hall, died at his home on June 10, 2002.
Born July 28, 1929 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late C. Franklin and Ruby McClintic McLaughlin.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Buzzard Field Model Club in care of the funeral home.

Anna P. Motter
Anna P. Motter, 102, of ManorCare, Jersey Shore, formerly of 90 Linnwood Drive, Lock Haven, died Sunday, June 9, 2002 in ManorCare.
She was born Jan. 31, 1900 in Mill Hall, a daughter of the late Sylvester and Mary Baney Brady.
She and her husband, Raymond Motter, were married Nov. 22, 1917 in Lock Haven by Rev. Parkhill, now deceased. Her husband died April 9, 1969.
Services will be Thursday, June 13, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall, with the Rev. William J. Danis officiating. Interment
will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Margaret E. Beach
Margaret E. Beach, 67, of 511 W. Grape St., Castanea, died June 10, 2002 at her home.
She was born Nov. 30, 1934 in Clearfield, and was the daughter of the late Voyal and Mary McGooy Shaw.
She and her husband, Harold W. Beach, were married Feb. 17, 1956, and celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary this year, he survives.
Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment
will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Clearfield. Arrangements are being made by the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
Rev. Byron L. Richards
Byron L. Richards, 73, of Spruce Street, Tipton, was called home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 10, 2002, at 12:15 a.m.
He was born Oct. 5, 1928 in State College, the son of Byron L. and Helen Marie Scott Richards, and on Oct. 29, 1976 in New York, was married to A. Bess Crago, who survives.
Funeral services for Rev. Richards will be held Thursday, June 13, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Martha United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles A. Fitzgerald and the Rev. Kevin St. Martin officiating. Interment
will be in Williams Cemetery, Martha Furnace. Friends may call at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., 115 W. 10th St., Tyrone, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday at the church for one hour prior to the service. Joseph Gemballa Jr., of New Kensington, died Saturday, June 8, 2002 in Natrona Heights.
His wife of 39 years, Grace Y. Moore Gemballa, survives.
A Christian Funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Monday in Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington. Arrangements were through Rusiewicz Funeral Home, Lower Burrell.
Edna L. McCauley
Edna L. McCauley, 79, formerly of the Oak Grove Gardens in Avis, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, in the Susque-View Nursing Home, Lock Haven, where she had been residing for the last two months.
She was born in Avis, May 4, 1923, the daughter of the late John F. and Gertrude Bundy Dullen.
her husband, Lee Martin McCauley Jr., preceded her in death Feb. 9, 1988.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13 in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home,121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Pastor Heather Baker of the Charlton United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment
will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Dunnstable Township. Friends will be received in the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Fayetta M. Martin, 92, formerly of West Edwin Street, Williamsport, died Saturday, June 8, 2002 in ManorCare South, Williamsport.
Born June 8, 1910 in North Bend, she was a daughter of the late William S. and Nettie M. Heck Johnson.
Funeral services will be private and there will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Allen & Redmond’s, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport.

Don B. Cline, 65, of Winter Haven, Fla., died Friday, June 7, 2002 at his residence, of heart failure.
Born May 7, 1937 in Jersey Shore, he moved to Winter Haven in 1999.
Services will be Friday, June 14 at 1 p.m. in Jersey Shore Cemetery Chapel. The family will provide the flowers. Arrangements are being handled by Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 645 W. Central Ave., Winter Haven, Fla.
Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Bumgarner
Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Bumgarner, 82, of Susque-View Home, formerly of Monument, died Sunday, June 9, 2002 in Susque-View.
Born March 17, 1920 in Curtin Township, Centre County, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Mary V. Barnhart Heverly.
Her husband, Roy B. Bumgarner, preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1984.
Services will be Wednesday, June 12 at 10 a.m. in the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, 837 Main St., Howard, with Pastor Thomas Reitz officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the funeral home.

Joseph M. Dicello, 61, of 200 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven, died Friday, June 7, 2002 at Williamsport Hospital.
Born May 8, 1941 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Angelo P. and Rose Donato Dicello.
He is survived by his wife, the former Phyllis M. Powers, whom he married June 10, 1961.
A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 310 W. Water St., Lock Haven, at 10 a.m. Monday, June 10. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, with vigil service at 8 p.m. and Sons of Italy service at 8:15 p.m.

Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Baum, 73, of Ridgway Road, Johnsonburg, died Friday, June 7, 2002 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center West.
She was married to Edward H. Baum Jr. on Aug. 23, 1947. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1993.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, 10 a.m. Monday with Rev. David J. Wilson officiating. Interment

Ida M. (Johnson) Vroman
Ida M. (Johnson) Vroman, 66, of Renovo, died at her residence on Thursday, June 6, 2002.
She was born in Renovo on Feb. 2, 1936, a daughter of the late Earl H. and Ellen (Norberg) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl H. Vroman, in 1995 and four brothers.
Funeral services will be held at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo, at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2002 with Rev. Mahlon Nevel officiating. Interment
will follow in North Bend Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
Memorials are requested to the Renovo Public Library or the American Cancer Society.
Allan R. Miller
Allan R. Miller, 76, of Howard Street, South Williamsport, died Thursday, June 6, 2002 in ManorCare South where he had been a guest for a short time.
He was born in Woolrich on Oct. 12, 1925, the son of Fred and Lida L. Bartges Miller.
He married the former Betty J. Bertin on Sept. 4, 1949. She survives.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2002 from the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home,” of Jersey Shore. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home Monday beginning at noon.

Agnes B. (Burns) Foley
Agnes B. (Burns) Foley, 95, a former resident of Renovo and currently of Wynwood House, Centre Hall, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 in Centre Community Hospital, State College.
She was born April 9, 1907 in Garland, a daughter of the late James F. and Margaret Ethel Forbes Burns.
She married Charles Foley in 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1975.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 7 at 2 p.m. in Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo, with the Rev. Mahlon Nevel officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday.
Contributions may be made to the Renovo Library or the First United Methodist Church, Renovo, in her memory.

Sandra Gail Packer, 65, of Strasburg, Va., died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at home.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 6 at Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Blanchard at 3 p.m.
She is survived by a son, Steven M. of Strasburg, a sister, Jean Pacoe of Waterford, and a brother, Jerry Packer of Howard.

George E. (Jack) Bradney
George E. (Jack) Bradney, 89, of 2119 Delaware Ave., East Renovo, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 in the Bucktail Medical Center in Renovo. He had been in failing health for the last month.
Mr. Bradney was born Sept. 12, 1912 in South Renovo, the son of the late Edward M. and Minnie Goodman Bradney.
He was united in marriage Jan. 20, 1940 to Mary Blass Bradney, who is a resident at the Bucktail Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at 10 a.m. in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Rev. Marie Lewis of the Lock Haven United Methodist Parish. Interment
will be in the Rest Haven Memorial Park, Dunnstable Township. Friends will be received in the funeral home Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday morning, one hour prior to services.

Thelma Mae Durrwachter Wilhelm, 73, of Jersey Shore, died Saturday, June 1, 2002 after a three-year battle with cancer.
She was born June 3, 1928 in Jersey Shore, a daughter of the late Henry and Aurilla Durrwachter.
He husband, Harold C. Wilhelm, a decorated World War II veteran, preceded her in death in 1992.
Memorial services will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no visitation. The family will provide the flowers. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.

She is survived by her step-mother, Helen McCleester of Port Matilda. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today in the Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, with interment

Dorothy Marie Hakes
Dorothy Marie Hakes, 79, a resident of 4331 Elimsport Road, Montgomery, entered the new life eternal on Friday, May 31, 2002 in the Williamsport Hospital.
Born in Williamsport on Thursday, Feb. 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Roy Trye and Ruth (Kulp) and Harvey Baer.
She was the wife of Lehman L. Hakes Sr., with whom she celebrated a 55th wedding anniversary on Sept. 7, 2001, he survives.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Charles Steele, and a brother, Herbert E. Trye.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 State Route 44 Highway, Elimsport, at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 3, 2002 with Rev. Max W. Furman, her pastor, officiating. Interment
will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call on Monday from noon to 2 p.m. at the church.

James F. Prough
James F. Prough, 72, of Island Road, Lock Haven, died Friday, May 31, 2002 in the Lock Haven Hospital Emergency Room after being stricken earlier in the day.
He was born Nov. 15, 1929 in Lock Haven, a son of the late George and Norma Young Prough.
He and his wife, the former Caroline June McCaslin, were married Dec. 13, 1985, she survives. They celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary last December.
His first wife, Evelyn M. Walizer Prough, and a sister, Evelyn Hackenberry, preceded him in death.
A private funeral will be held Monday, June 3, 2002 in the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, with Pastor Heather Baker officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
