Adam Sampsell, 21, son of Christine and Eric Sampsell of Denver, Colo., died of a brain tumor in Denver, Tuesday, April 16, 2002.

Sigrid A. Stocum
The family of Sigrid A. Stocum, with great sadness and with great happiness, wish to announce the reunion of Sigrid and Leon on April 17, 2002, after a 44-year separation.
Sigrid was the widow of Leon L. Stocum, who preceded her April 18, 1958. They were united in marriage March 7, 1941.
Sigrid, born Dec. 22, 1916 in Pelkie, Mich., was the daughter of Antii and Anna Elina Wayrynen.
Per her request, there will be no viewing and a final goodbye will be at the convenience of the family. In her memory, the family requests donations be made to Community Nursing Service of Clinton County Hospice, 124 Woodward Ave., P.O. Box 904, Lock Haven, Pa. 17745.

Edna M. Foor
Edna M. Foor, 82, of Beech Creek, died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, in Williamsport Hospital.
Born Dec. 20, 1919 in Ray’s Cove, Bedford County, she was the daughter of the late Blaine E. and Lucy L. Minnick Ritchey.
She was married to Jerome D. Foor in Steven City, Va., on May 18, 1940. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2000.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 11:30 a.m. in the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, 837 Main St., Howard. Rev. Barbara Ammann will officiate. Burial will be in Everett Cemetery at the family’s convenience. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Beech Creek/Blanchard Fire Company, in care of the Neff Funeral Home, P.O. Box 108, Howard, Pa. 16841.

Justin M. Lomax
The mass and visitation for Justin Mark Lomax, 19, of 35 North Pond Lane, Cogan Station, will be rescheduled due to conditions beyond the family’s control.
He died April 15, 2002, in San Bernadino County, Calif., following an automobile accident.
In his memory, the family suggests donations be made to the Justin Lomax Memorial Fund, in care of SUN Bank, P.O. Box 345, Montoursville, Pa. 17754.
Arrangements will be announced when completed by Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville.

James I. Bennett
Mr. James Ira Bennett, 89, of 201 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore, died Wednesday, April 17, 2002, in ManorCare North Health Center in Williamsport.
Born July 20, 1912 in Corning, N.Y., he was the son of Ralph Bennett and the former Martha Garnett.
He was united in marriage in 1969 to the former Mary E. Jacobs. She preceded him in death July 2, 2001.
Burial and services will be held at the convenience of the family. Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.

William E. Ferree
William E. Ferree, 85, of 200 Beech Creek Ave., Mill Hall, died April 17, 2002, in the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit.
Born Nov. 11, 1916 in Mackeyville, he was the son of the late William E. and Mary Williams Ferree.
He was married to Madeline Mary Shirk Ferree on July 16, 1936 in Mill Hall. She survives at home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. April 20, 2002 in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall. Rev. James H. Redmon, his pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mill Hall Church of Christ in care of the funeral home.

John L. Tate
John L. Tate, 44, of 131 W. Water St., Lock Haven, died April 17, 2002, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Jan. 25, 1958 in Saginaw, Mich., he was the son of Mary Kennedy Tate who survives in Castanea, and the late Harold E. Tate who died May 19, 1975.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family at the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall. Rev. Donald Boslett will officiate. Burial will be in Meyer Cemetery, Bellefonte. There will be no public visitation. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society through the funeral home.

Justin M. Lomax
Justin Mark Lomax, 19, of 35 North Pond Lane, Cogan Station, died April 15, 2002, in San Bernadino County, Calif., following an automobile accident.
Born Oct. 15, 1982 in Coudersport, he was the son of Mark J. Lomax and Linda K. Gavlock.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Renovo, on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Boslett officiating. Burial will follow in New Maple Grove Cemetery, Leidy Township. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville. A prayer vigil service will be held Friday evening.

Catherine I. Wagner
Mrs. Catherine I. Wagner, 84, of 767 Fourth Gap Road, Loganton, died Sunday evening, April 14, 2002, at her home.
Born June 21, 1917 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Byron Smith and the former Judy E. Pittinger.
She was united in marriage Aug. 27, 1944 to Dean F. Wagner Sr. He preceded her in death Sept. 20, 1998.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 18, 2002 at 2 p.m. in the Oval United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 1 p.m. Thursday until the time of services in the church. Burial will be in the Oval Cemetery. Rev. Marjorie Glascow will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.

Edward Anthony Ryan, 87, a resident of Sandia Park, N.M., died Monday, April 15, 2002, with his wife by his side.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Ryan.
He was preceded in death by parents Harry and Linetta Ryan.
He was born March 18, 1915 in Lock Haven.

Catherine L. “Kit” Reighard, 91, of 119 Elm St., Jersey Shore, died Monday, April 15, 2002, in ManorCare Health Services in Jersey Shore.
Born Feb. 2, 1911 in South Avis, she was the daughter of the late Bruce P. and Emma Dinan Lundy Reighard and a 1928 graduate of Jersey Shore High School.
She was married to Eugene E. Reighard Sr. on April 16, 1938. He preceded her in death March 15, 2001.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. The family will provide the flowers. Louise P. Schreiber
Louise P. Schreiber, 85, of 1201 Rural Ave., Williamsport, died Sunday, April 14, 2002, in Williamsport Hospital. Louise was born Aug. 30, 1916 in Blanchard, Centre County, a daughter of Frank L. and Anna Smith Courter.
She worked as a registered nurse at the Lock Haven and Williamsport hospitals until her marriage on Sept. 4, 1948, to Chester G. Schreiber, and lived for many years on Dove Street in the Newberry section of Williamsport.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, from Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, with her pastor, the Rev. Gerald C. Peet, officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at Sanders’ from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday.

Robert N. Boyer
Robert N. Boyer, 79, of 313 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, formerly of Lock Haven, died Sunday evening, April 14, 2002, in the Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born May 24, 1922 in Lock Haven, he was the son of William Y. Boyer and the former Ruth E. Briggs.
He was united in marriage to the former Bette L. Barrow in 1956. She preceded him in death Jan. 31, 1986.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at 11 a.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Thomas E. Allen, 51, of 387 Birch St., Flemington, died Monday, April 15, 2002 in Susque-View Home., Lock Haven.
He was born in Lock Haven on May 9, 1950, a son of Ray C. and Mary C. Miller Allen, both of Flemington.
A private funeral will be Thursday in the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St.., Flemington. Public visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Clair F. Young Sr.
Clair F. Young Sr., 84, of Mill Hall, died Thursday, April 11, 2002 at Jersey Shore Hospital.
He was born Jan. 7, 1918 in Mill Hall, a son of the late John C. and Lena C. Young.
He is survived by a special companion, Nora Mitcheltree of Mill Hall.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 15, at Covenant United Methodist Church in Lock Haven, with the Rev. James E. VanZandt officiating. Friends will be received from at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to Monday’s funeral. Full military services will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Covenant United Methodist Church, 44 W. Main St., Lock Haven, PA 17745.

Jean E. Keiler
Jean E. Keiler, 85, of Jersey Shore, died Thursday April 11, 2002 at Manor Care Jersey Shore, where she had been a guest since fall 2000.
She was born March 6, 1917 in Jersey Shore, a daughter of John H. and Mary Barner Furl. She graduated from Jersey Shore High School in 1935 and the former Williamsport Tech as an LPN. In September of 1937, she married Kenneth Keiler, who died Aug. 21, 1985.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Lutheran Church Chapel with her pastor, Rev. Kerry Aucker officiating. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday.
Contributions may be made to the St. Johns Lutheran Church, 229 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore, PA 17740. Arrangements are being handled by the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home,” Jersey Shore.

Sondra L. Fornwalt
Sondra L. Fornwalt, 40, of Bellefonte, a resident of Skills of Central Pa., died Friday, April 12, 2002 at Geisinger Medical Center.
Born Oct. 4, 1961, in Johnstown, she was the daughter of Rev. Donald H. and Coleen M. Seese Fornwalt of Blanchard.
Her parents, survive.

Michael L. Moore, 36, of Monument, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Oct. 31, 1965 in Lock Haven, he was the son of Samuel E. Moore of Millheim and Lula S. (Gorham) Moore of Mill Hall.
He was a 1984 graduate of Bald Eagle-Nittany High School, Mill Hall, and was employed as a guard at Houtzdale State Correctional Institution.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2002, in the Mill Hall Church of Christ, Main Street, Mill Hall. The Rev. Paul Gorham will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the church. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Central Mountain Wrestling Booster Club, in care of John Maggs, 77 Maggs Road, Beech Creek, Pa. 16822.

Lee G. Dietzel
Lee G. Dietzel, 81, formerly of 1323 Walnut St., Jersey Shore, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, in ManorCare, Jersey Shore, where he had been a guest for just over a year.
He was born in Avis, a son of Gilbert H. and Sarah Wolfe Dietzel.
He was a former Avis High School graduate and was a U. S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
On June 21, 1941, he married the former Marguerite Huey, who survives.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2002, from the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home,” 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with his pastor, Rev. David Byerly, officiating, assisted by Rev. Anke Deibler of Loganton. Burial will at the convenience of the family. Sallie E. Kelso
Sallie E. Kelso, 43, of 435 Wilson St., Jersey Shore, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, in Williamsport Hospital.
She was born in Williamsport, Dec. 21, 1958, a daughter of Madeline Adams Kelso and the late Glenn B. Kelso.
Her mother of Jersey Shore, survives.
Her father died in June of 2000.
An open celebration of her life will take place at the First United Methodist Church, 236 S. Main St., Jersey Shore, on Saturday, April 13, 2002, at 4 p.m., with her pastor, Rev. W. Keith Rockwell, officiating. Interment will be done privately at the convenience of the family. Her family will provide the flowers, and suggests contributions be made to the Cancer Treatment Center at Divine Providence Hospital, 110 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, Pa. 17701.
Arrangements are being handled by Rearick-Carpenter’s of Jersey Shore.

Thomas E. Osborne Jr.
Thomas E. Osborne Jr., 74, of Lock Haven, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at SusqueView Nursing Home, where he was a guest for two years.
He was born Oct. 4, 1927 in Clinton County, a son of the late Thomas E. and Thelma Ziegler Osborne Sr.
Services will be at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, on Friday at 1 p.m. with Major Leslie Hilty officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Dunnstown Cemetery.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Harriet Joan Kelly Radvansky, oldest sister of the late Gene Kelly, died Saturday after suffering a series of strokes at an assisted living home. She was 92.
her husband died in 1994.

Mabel M. Reish, 85, of McElhattan, died April 7, 2002, at the ManorCare Nursing Home in Jersey Shore.
She was born Aug. 14, 1916 in Howard, the daughter of the late Percy and Jane M. Huntington Walker. She married Donald K. Reish who died in 1980.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 11, 2002, at 11 a.m., in the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington, with the Rev. Mark Riley officiating. Friends will be received in the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Melvin “Mel” L. Rinker
Melvin “Mel” L. Rinker, 74, of 628 Lusk Run Road, Mill Hall, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, in the Lock Haven Hospital.
He was born Aug. 6, 1927 in Benezette, the son of the late Arthur F. and Loretta Showers Rinker. He married the former Shirley Bowes in Lock Haven on July 28, 1977, she survives.
Memorial services will be Friday, April 12, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. in the Flemington United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ellen Evans officiating. Friends will be received in the church from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to Horizon House, 330 E. She was born Nov. 27, 1917 in Crabtree, the daughter of the late Michael and Maria Chill Gaudiose.
The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, April 11, 2002, at 10 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church with Rev. Daniel J. O.’Neill officiating. Friends will be received in the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, 112 E. Betty Jane Brown, a resident of Kephart Plaza, passed into God’s care while surrounded by her family on April 7, 2002, in the Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit, where she had been admitted on Friday.
Born Feb. 21, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy and Frank Cruse Sr. She attended Lock Haven High School and graduated in 1942.
She worked at the Piper Aircraft Corporation and the Newberry Store before marrying William M. Brown. He preceded her in death in 1980.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at 11 a.m., in the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington, with Douglas S. Campbell officiating. Mr. Frank W. (Cy) Getgen, 77, of 353 Front St., Antes Fort, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at his home.
Born Sept. 11, 1924 in Antes Fort, he was the son of Frank L. Getgen and the former Margaret V. Welshans.
He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy G. Kennedy. They were united in marriage March 9, 1957.
