Cecil F. Corle
Cecil F. Corle, 76, of 105 S. Wylie St., Jersey Shore, died early Saturday morning, July 7, 2001, at his home.
Born Oct. 31, 1924 in Claysburg, he was the son of Anson Corle and the former Edith Ritchy.
He is survived by his wife, the former Helen L. Clinich. They were united in marriage on July 25, 1946.
Memorial services and burial will be at the convenience of the family. Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore.
Shirley I. Dorman
Shirley I. Dorman, 72, of Blanchard, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, in her residence.
Born June 1, 1929 in Spring Township, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine Mae Reed Wagner.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 9, 2001, in the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, 837 Main St., Howard. Burial will be in Schencks Cemetery, Howard Township. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Kathryn Ricker McKeague
Kathryn Ricker McKeague, 82, of 206 Center St., Lock Haven, died July 8, 2001, at the Jersey Shore Hospital Emergency Room. She had been a resident of Oakridge Personal Care Home since May of 2001.
She was born April 13, 1919 in Lock Haven, and was the daughter of the late P. Byron and Miriam Osborn Ricker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl K. Snyder, who died in 1948, and her second husband, Lloyd E. (Mike) McKeague, who died in 1989.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Rev. James VanZandt of the Covenant United Methodist Church. Interment
will be in the Highland Cemetery, Lock Haven. Friends will be received in the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., with Elks Auxiliary services at 7:30 p.m.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Covenant United Methodist Church, through the funeral home.
John Paucke
John Paucke, 86, of Cedar Run, died Sunday in the Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born in Leetonia on April 14, 1915, he was a son of John and Mary Smitchska Paucke.
He and his wife, the former Mary Eliza Tomb, celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary, July 3, she survives.
Private family graveside services will be held on Wednesday in Cedar Run Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Leroy E. (Tack) Brown
Leroy E. (Tack) Brown, 85, of Route 220 Highway, Jersey Shore, died Friday, July 6, 2001 at his residence.
Born March 11, 1916 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of Benjamin B. and Addie Wilson Brown.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 9, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of services in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
William I. Eberhart Jr.
William I. Eberhart Jr., 78, of Lot 6 Mountain Haven Village, Lock Haven, died Friday, July 6, 2001 at Lock Haven Hospital.
Born June 19, 1923, he was the son of the late William I. Eberhart Sr. and the former Marguerite Crider.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Castanea United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Edward Thigpen officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. Alfred E. Hoberman
Alfred E. Hoberman, 61, of 101 Hill St., Lock Haven, died July 5, 2001, at the Lock Haven Hospital. He had been in failing health and had entered the hospital June 3, 2001.
He was born in Lock Haven, Aug. 24, 1939, and was the son of the late Dr. Edward and Ethel Rosner Hoberman.
Mr. Hoberman was united in marriage to Jo Anne Kessler Hoberman on Aug. 27, 1967 in Philadelphia. She survives.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 8, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Beth Yehuda Synagogue, 320 W. Church St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Rabbi Sarah Messenger, former rabbi of the Beth Yehuda Synagogue. Interment
will be in the Beth Yehuda Cemetery, Lock Haven.
Friends will be received in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven, on Saturday evening from 8 to 10 p.m., and Sunday afternoon from noon until the time of services at the Beth Yehuda Synagogue. Masonic services will be 10 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
In keeping with the Jewish tradition, the family will provide all flowers. Memorials may be made to the Lock Haven University Hoberman Chemistry Scholarship Fund, through the funeral home.

Clayton A. Reeder, 67, 700 Woods Ave., Lock Haven, died Wednesday, July 4, 2001 at Lock Haven Hospital.
Born April 20, 1933 in Flemington, he was the son of the late Clayton A. and Gladys M. Mitchelltree Reeder.
He and his wife, Rose E. Gharet Reeder, were married on April 18, 1956. She survives.
Funeral services will be July 8, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home. Maj. Leslie M. Hilty of the Salvation Army, will officiate. Interment

Alice G. Weaver, 63, of 127 Beagle Rd., Mill Hall, died July 4, 2001, at her residence.
Born Jan. 5, 1938 in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late Buell and Carrie Elizabeth Wance Pogue.
She was married to Donald L. Weaver on July 13, 1956. He survives.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., July 7, 2001, in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall. The Rev. P. Franklin Hartzel, her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park, McElhattan. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Rote United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Mary E. Bennett, 77, formerly of 201 N. Broad St., Jersey Shore, died Monday, July 2, 2001, in the ManorCare Health Center, Jersey Shore.
Born Nov. 8, 1923 in Howard, she was the daughter of Edward Jacobs and the former Myrtle Shay.
She is survived by her husband, James I. Bennett. They were united in marriage in 1969.

Pearl S. Newman
Pearl S. Newman, 80, of Bellefonte, formerly of Beech Creek, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001.
She was the daughter of Harry and Mame Smith Fravel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank.
Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Neff Funeral Home, Howard. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Jacksonville Cemetery.
Charles W. Snyder Sr.
Charles W. Snyder Sr., 81, of R.R. 2 Mill Hall, died July 3, 2001, in Lock Haven Hospital.
Born March 24, 1920 in Bald Eagle Township, Clinton County, he was the son of the late George L. and Irene Mayes Snyder.
He was married to Anne H. Snyder who died March 31, 2001.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment
will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Mill Hall. There will be no public visitation.

Thomas W. Mann
Thomas W. Mann, 72, of 118 Dennys Lane, Mill Hall, died July 4, 2001, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born Dec. 12, 1928 in Beech Creek, he was the son of the late Grant T. and Edna Myers Mann.
He was married to the former Irene M. Brungard on July 17, 1948. She survives.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. July 7, 2001 in Bald Eagle United Presbyterian Church, Mill Hall. Rev. Russell L. Looker, retired minister of Great Island Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received July 6, 2001 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, Mill Hall, and one hour prior to services at the church on July 7.

Samuel Stringer Conly
Samuel Stringer Conly, 82, of South Renovo, died June 29, 2001.
Raised in South Philadelphia, Dr. conly graduate Phi Beta Kappa from Lafayette College in Easton in 1941. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 1944.
Dr. Conly was married for 56 years Marjorie A. Cornish of New Rochelle, N.Y. They resided in Wallingford for 40 years, before retiring to South Renovo in 1991. Mrs. Conly preceded him in death.
Arrangements are being handled by Maxwell Funeral Home, Renovo.

Garnet S. Williams
Garnet S. Williams, 76, of 108 N. Hampton St., died Monday, July 2, 2001 in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where he was transferred early Saturday morning from Lock Haven Hospital Emergency Room, after being stricken at home early Friday evening.
Born in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Willis S. and Elaine Willow Williams.
A veteran of the U.S. Army service in World War II, he married Frances Patricia Bacon in Immaculate Conception Church rectory on Nov. 18, 1950. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year in Charleston, S.C., with family, she survives.
Funeral services will be conducted at Covenant United Methodist Church, Friday, July 6, at 11 a.m., with the pastor, the Rev. James Van Zandt, conducting the service. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Covenant Church, Immaculate Conception Church or Clinton County SPCA.
Emeline D. “Peggy” Graham
Emeline D. Peggy Graham, 83, formerly of Jersey Shore, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001 in ManorCare in Jersey Shore where she resided the past three years.
She was born in Vandergrift on Aug. 4, 1917, a daughter of the late Nathaniel P. and Jennie M. Douty Decker.
Her husband, James F. Graham, died in 1977.
Family graveside services will be held in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home in Jersey Shore is in charge of arrangements.

Fern T. Dunkle Jr., 72, of 15 Fern Lane, Mill Hall, died June 30, 2001, in his home.
Born Sept. 30, 1928 in Boalsburg, he was the son of the late Fern T. and Grace Weight Dunkle.
He was married to Dorothy L. Confer on Dec. 24, 1948. She survives.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2001 in Mt. Bethel United Church of Christ, Route 64, Mill Hall. The Rev. Marjorie M. Holland, his pastor, and Revs. Jack and Leatha Archer, his former pastors, will officiate. Interment
will be in Mt. Bethel Cemetery. Friends will be received following the service at the church.

Born Dec. 25, 1907 in Kato, Snow Shoe Township, Centre County, she was the daughter of the late William and Grace Shope Walker.
She was married to Josiah W. Long who died March 19, 1964.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Interment
will be in Hublersburg Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.

Lester S. Weber Jr.
Lester S. Weber Jr., 75, of R.R. 1 Kunkletown, died Friday, in the Palmerton Hospital.
Born in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Lester S. Weber Sr. and the late Magdalena (Fritz) Weber.
He was the husband of Dorothy (Gregory) Weber, she survives. They would have observed their 52nd wedding anniversary on July 9.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Cremation will take place in the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg.

William L. Englert
William L. Englert, 86, of 500 W. Water St., Lock Haven, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, in Lock Haven Hospital.
Born June 4, 1915 in Woolrich, he was the son of the late William H. and Nell Linn Englert.
He was a 1933 graduate of Lock Haven High School. He attended Dickinson College in Carlisle.
He was a World War II Army Air Corp veteran, and was discharged on Dec. 7, 1945, as a sergeant.
On March 31, 1943 at McDill Field, Midland, Texas, he married Dorothy H. Crowley. She survives.
A funeral mass will be at Immaculate Conception Church, 310 W. Water St., Lock Haven, Tuesday, July 3 at 10 a.m. Celebrant will be Rev. Msgr. Dennis R. Boggs. Committal will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., with a Vigil of the Deceased at 8:30 p.m.

Theodore L. Young
Theodore L. Young, 59, of Glenside, died Friday, June 29, 2001 in his home.
Born March 2, 1942 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late George and Thelma Smith Young.
He was married to the former Eileen Courtney. She survives.

Donald E. Walker, 46, of R.R. 1 Lock Haven, died Friday, June 29, 2001 at his residence.
Born Nov. 8, 1954 in Lock Haven, he was the son of Daniel C. Walker and Martha Hazel Walker, of Avis. They both survive.
He married Cindy E. Cryder Walker on Nov. 2, 1974, who also survives.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being completed by the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home in Lock Haven.
FLOYD I. BARNER
Floyd I. Barner, 86, of 3519 W. Valley Rd., Tylersville, died Thursday, June 28, 2001 in the Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born Jan. 1, 1915 in Salona, he was the sone of the late Clarence H. and Matilda A. Karchner Barner.
He married the former Genevieve J. Miller on Oct. 16, 1937 in Tylersville, who died March 9, 2001.
Memorial services will be held at the Helt Hanna Kline Funeral Home, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, on Monday July 2, 2001 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Nancy Kuhns officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. Interment
will be private at the family’s convenience.

Jack G. Crissman, 61, of 100 Bridge St., Castanea, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001 in Lock Haven Hospital.
Born May 11, 1940 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Ellery A. Crissman and Ruth M. Hoy Crissman of State College, who survives.
He was married to Nancy L. Groce Crissman, who survives.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 30, 2001 at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ. The Rev. Mitchel Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington.
