Joseph (Joe-Q) Quercia
Joseph (Joe-Q) Quercia, 79, of 104 S. Hampton St., Lock Haven, died Monday April 30, 2001 in Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, N.C.
Born April 10, 1922 in Ascule, Rome, Italy, he was the son of the late Samuel and Josephine Tranquillo Quercia.
He married Helen F. Jalonski Shelesky on Sept. 17, 1949 in New Philadelphia. She died on June 3, 1999.
A Memorial Mass will be at Immaculate Conception Church, 310 W. Water St., Lock Haven, Saturday, May 5 at 10 a.m. Celebrant will be Rev. Neil R. Dadey. Interment
will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Moriarty-Dutcavich Funeral Home, 112 E. Church St., Lock Haven, Friday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., with a wake service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church or Leukemia Research Fund of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center through the funeral home.
Rae June Keaveney
Rae June Keaveney, a homemaker, died at the Mercy Suburban Hospital on Sunday, April 29, 2001, in East Norristown. She was 72.
Born in Lock Haven on June 14, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Nora Belle (Winner) Dorey.
She resided in Norristown, and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church.
Her husband, John C. Keaveney, survives. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 3, 2001 at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Marshall and Hamilton streets, Norristown. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion Township. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday in the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Francis of Assisi Church.

J. Alvin Walton, 91, of 216 N. Main St., Muncy, died Friday, April 27, 2001 in ManorCare North, Williamsport, where he had been a resident since April 18, 2001.
He was born March 15, 1910 in Muncy, in the building currently occupied by Muncy Historical Society. He was the son of James R. and Elverda Egli Walton.
The funeral was held Monday at 1 p.m. at Wallis-Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy. Officiating was the Rev. Michael R. Gardy, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Muncy. Interment
was in Muncy Cemetery.

Robert LaRue Grove
Robert LaRue Grove, 76, of R.D. 1 Lock Haven, died Thursday, April 26, 2001 at the ManorCare Health Services North in Williamsport.
Born June 14, 1924 in Williamsport, he was the son of the late Howard and Mary Hummel Grove.
He married the former Mildred M. Berry on March 25, 1958. She survives.
He was an installer for Williamsport Mirror and Glass Company, before retiring several years ago.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Robert C. Sweely of Allentown; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a niece, Pamela Gower of Cogan Station.
Funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are being completed by the Helt Hanna Kline Funeral Home of Mill Hall.
Idessa H. Botts
Idessa H. Botts, 69, of McElhattan, died Thursday, in the Williamsport Hospital.
She was born July 3, 1931 in Covington, a daughter of Milford and Edna Grayson Frost.
She was a homemaker her whole life, and enjoyed reading, bingo, and her family and friends.
Her survivors include four sons, Edward L., Richard C., Jeffery A. and Johnathon C. Horn; along with two daughters, Zora L. Welsh and Sara K. Horn, all of the Jersey Shore area; a sister, Janice Frost of Covington; three half-brothers; four half-sisters; two foster sisters; six grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.
Private funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home in Jersey Shore. Interment
will be in Covington. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, Pa. 17701.

Clifford C. Vonada
Clifford C. Vonada, 95, of Mackeyville, died Thursday, April 26, 2001 in the Lock Haven Hospital.
Born Aug. 23, 1905 in Mackeyville, he was the son of the late Edgar B. and Margaret Frazier Vonada.
He and his wife, Vera E. Weaver Vonada, were married Dec. 24, 1932. She died Jan. 31, 2000.
Services will be Sunday, April 29, 2001 at 2 p.m. in the Mackeyville United Methodist Church with Revs. Joseph Lair and Thomas Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Ceder Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home and one hour prior to services in the church. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Mackeyville United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Dean K. Wetzler Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall.

Robert LaLaRue Grove, 76, of R.R. 1 Lock Haven, died Thursday, April 26, 2001 in the ManorCare Nursing Home, Williamsport.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Helt Hanna Kline Funeral Home, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, and will be announced when completed.
John R. Getz
John R. Getz, 70, of Renovo, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, in the Bucktail Medical Center.
Born in Renovo on March 9, 1931, he was the son of the late James and Clara (Hillyard) Getz.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Margaret (Heck) Getz on April 14, 1998, whom he had married on Oct. 30, 1950 in Cumberland, Md.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 28, 2001 at 1 p.m. in the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo with Rev. Steven Brauner officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Friends will be received in the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Contributions may be made to the Renovo Public Library in John’s memory.
Faye J. Kelley
Faye J. Kelley, 79, of Renovo, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 in the Bucktail Medical Center.
Born in Hammersley Fork on Feb. 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Henrietta (Daugherty) Summerson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie S. Kelley, on Sept. 16, 1992, whom she married in Hammersley Fork on Aug. 20, 1939. Memorial services will be Saturday, April 28, 2001 at 3:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Renovo with Rev. John Godissart officiating. Private family burial services will be held at a later date. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services.
The Maxwell Funeral Home of Renovo is in charge of the services.
Joan Soo
Joan Soo, 61, of R.R. 1 Lock Haven, died Thursday, April 26, 2001 in her residence.
Born in Lock Haven, she attended school in Lamar Township.
She married Richard Lee Soo in February 1962. He died July 15, 1994.
There will be no visitation and burial will be at the convenience of the family. The Moriarity-Dutcavich Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Goldie C. Rhoads, 91, of 123 Highland St., Avis, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001 at her residence.
Born Nov. 6, 1909 in Loganton, she was the daughter of Davis L. Bloom and the former Olive A. McCollogh.
She was united in marriage on Aug. 28, 1928 in Elmira, N.Y., to John P. Rhoads Jr. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1976.
Funeral services will be Saturday, April 28, 2001 at 10 a.m. in the Lighthouse Wesleyan Church, 220 High St., Jersey Shore. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday evening in the Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery. Rev. Gary L. DeWitt, her pastor, will officiate.

Donald L. Letterman Sr.
Donald L. Letterman Sr., 59, formerly of the Avis area, died Wednesday at ManorCare in Jersey Shore, where he had been a guest the past three weeks.
He was born in Jersey Shore on June 27, 1941, a son of Charles E. and Amy R. Keen Letterman Sr.
He and his wife, the former Wanda Truax, were married on June 30, 1963. She survives.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2001, from the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with Rev. George E. Doran, pastor of Mount Zion Lutheran Church of Hughesville, and Rev. John H. Phillips Jr., associate pastor of the Jersey Shore Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Norma S. Glossner, 73, of 4 Daffodil Lane, Lock Haven, died April 24, 2001 in her home.
Born Feb. 16, 1928 in East Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Minnie Zinck Speck.
She and her husband, Warren H. Glossner, were married on May 14, 1949.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2001 in the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, 231 High St., Flemington. The Rev. Theodore Cockley will officiate. Interment
will be in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Ronald A. Storeman
A memorial service for Ronald A. Storeman, 54, of 348 Pennsylvania Ave., South Renovo, who died Feb. 26, 2001 in Bucktail Medical Center, will be open to friends and family Saturday, April 28, 2001, at 10 a.m. in the Hyner Cemetery.
Among his survivors is his lifelong companion, Jeannie Neuder.

Oliver P. Gillock Jr.
Oliver Porter Gillock Jr. passed away unexpectedly of a heart condition on Saturday, April 21, 2001.
Born on April 20, 1941 in Baltimore, Md., he was 60 years old at the time of his death. His beloved wife, Margaret Ring Gillock, survives. Friends are invited to attend memorial services at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2001 in the chapel at Princeton University.

Gladys I. Myers, 79, of Lock Haven, died Sunday, April 22 in Susque-View Home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1921 in Kato, a daughter of Albert August Hamm Sr. and Ethel Minerva Berry Hamm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Edwin Myers in 1988. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 26, at 2 p.m. in Helt Hanna Kline’s, Mill Hall, with the Captains Leslie and Daniel Hilty officiating. Interment

Born May 18, 1922 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of Leon F. Huber and the former Ella J. Decker.

Edward T. Orr, 73, of Bellefonte, died Friday, April 20, 2001 at home.
Born Oct. 18, 1927 in Jacksonville, he was a son of the late Ralph W. and Eleanor E. Tyson Orr.
He married Dorothy Mapes on Sept. 21, 1956. She died April 30, 1990.
On Feb. 5, 1991, he married Marjorie Witherite Schaeffer, who survives at home.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, 837 Main St., Howard.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, rural Mill Hall.

She was married to Robert E. Bixel on May 29, 1953. He preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1975.

Mary Catherine Rupert, 90, of Renovo, died at Bucktail Medical Center, Sunday, April 15, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident earlier that day.
She was born March 9, 1911 in Renovo, daughter of the late William A. and Mary McClain Dalphon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Rupert, on March 2, 1993. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Renovo at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Fr. Donald Boslett officiating. Interment
will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Hyner. There will be no public calling hours. The family will provide the flowers. Maxwell Funeral Home of Renovo is in charge of arrangements.
