Ossie Mae (McBride) Bass, 78, of Pensacola, died Saturday, November 20, 1999 in Baptist Hospital following an extended illness.
Survivors include five sons, Charlie A. Bass, Nathan (Barbara) Bass, Frederick (Laura) Bass, all fo Pensacola, FL, Nathaniel (Mildred) Bass of Flomaton, AL, and Stephen (Sheila) Bass of Orlando, FL; nephew, Johnny McBride of Gary, IN; sister-in-law, Eula Mae Bass of Montgomery, AL; cousin, Lillie Ruth Watson of Jacksonville, FL; sixteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. J.S. Young, Pastor of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Barrancas National Cemetery.

JOHN JOSEPH DALY
John Joseph Daly, 63, of Gulf Breeze, died Thursday, November 23, 1999 at his home after a lengthy illness.
Born July 20, 1936 in Valley Stream, New York, he had been a resident here for six years.
Mr. Daly is survived by his wife, Jeannette Daly; daughters, Jeannine Bowen and her husband, Jeremy, of Weston, Florida and Julie Stevens and her husband, Mike, of Fairfax, Virginia; brother, Daniel Daly of Fort Pierce, FL; sister, Dorothy Rooney of Babylon, New York; his grandchildren, Jordan Bowen, Jayne Ellen Bowen, Jack Bowen and May Caroline Stevens; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Monday, November 29, 1999 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze.
BAYVIEW FISHER-POU CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Robert Stock and staff and to Hospice of Northwest Florida for their care and support.

JOHNYE LUCILLE DAWSON
Johnye Lucille Dawson, 92, of Bagdad, died Tuesday, November 23, 1999 in a local health care facility.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Dawson; grandson, Jerry Bunch; daughter-in-law, Barbara Dawson; sisters, Hortense Moore; and Katie Dilger; and brothers, Claude and Gaston McInnis.
She is survived by one son, David Dawson; two daughters, Delois (Johnny) Jacobs and Judy (Travis) Nelson, of Milton; six grandchildren, Karen (Dale) Lewis and Johnny (Cindy) Jacobs, of Milton; Gary Jacobs, of Orlando, Ronnie Dawson, of Bagdad, Jennifer (Rickey) Caudell and Janis (Cleve) Benbow, of Jay; eight great-grandchildren, Shana, Brandi, David Lee, and Kyle Dawson, Rickey Caudell, Michael and Jodi Benbow, and Wesley Lewis; two sisters, Bobbie Wright, Andalusia, Ala. and Mildred Chavers, Excel, Ala.; one brother, Hunter (Fannie) McInnis, Bagdad; and special friends, Mae Moore and Beulah Clark.
She was a loving devoted wife, mother, and grandma. She spent many hours in her yard working with and growing flowers and plants.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bagdad. She had a deep love for children. With love and patience, she served many years as a Sunday School Teacher, Sunbeam leader and church nursery volunteer.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Santa Rosa Convalescent Center and Dr. Craig Wyrosdick for the loving, compassionate care that was given.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 26, 1999 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Adrian Wingate officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m., Friday.
Pallbearers will be deacons from the First Baptist Church of Bagdad.

JOHN L. HILL
John L. Hill, 79, of Pensacola, died Monday, November 22, 1999.
Mr. Hill, a native of Georgia, resided in Pensacola for the past 35 years and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Hill's wife of 47 years, Sallie Hill, preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Danny and Ronnie Hill; four brothers, Jack, Bobby, George and William Hill; two sisters, Elsie Farrow and Wilma Harris; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 1999 in Eastern Gate Funeral Home with Rev. Clarence Gentry officiating.
Burial will be in Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens.
EASTERN GATE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

JAMES "JIMMY" W. KITTRELL
James "Jimmy" W. Kittrell, 61, of Cantonment, died Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at his home following a lengthy illness.
Mr. Kittrell was a member of Lathram Chapel Methodist Church. He was a lifelong resident of Cantonment and graduated from Tate High School. He was employed at Byrd Construction Co. as a sheet metal worker. He was preceded in death by a son, James D. Kittrell.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Lorraine H. Kittrell; daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Reggie Rives, Cindy and David Weaver, Merle Kittrell and Debbie Edwards; daughter-in-law, Shawn Kittrell; five grandchildren, Crystal Rives and fiance Gabe Jackson, Weston Weaver, Dana and Jamie Kittrell, Margaret (Shane) McClure; great grandaughter, Aspen Nicole McClure; special mother-in-law, Hazel Holliman; sisters, Olivia Hamilton and Mary Whitson; brother, Eugene Kittrell, Sr.; and special aunt, Unavay Carpenter.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 1999 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. John Kuritz officiating.
Burial will be in Lathram's Chapel Cemetery.

FLOYD EDWARD WALDROP
Floyd Edward Waldrop, 71, of Jay, died Monday, November 22, 1999 at his home.
Mr. Waldrop was affiliated with Brownsdale Baptist Church. He was retired from Century Corrections Facility and was a veteran the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Sue Waldrop; two sons, Bert Waldrop and Kevin Waldrop; two daughters, Kristie Guerrero and Sherrie Walker; two step- daughters, Casey Taylor and Carrie Taylor; ten grandchildren; and a sister, Madge Randolph.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 26, 1999 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. James E. Copeland and Chaplain Edison Burleson officiating.
Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Ates, Danny Pulk, Earl Baldree, John Brown, Coy Campbell and David Barnes.

FLORIDA JUNE (CHUCHIE) WASH
Florida June (Chuchie) Wash, 68, of Pensacola, died November 18, 1999 at her home after a brief illness.
Miss Wash was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Pensacola at the age of five. She graduated from Pensacola High School and the Turo School of Nursing in New Orleans. She joined the Nursing Department of Turo Hospital upon graduation and later was on the nursing staff at Memorial Hospital in New York. Miss Wash retired from nursing while on the staff of West Florida Hospital where she served as House Supervisor. She was preceded in death by her father, Alexander Paul Washkevich and her mother, Helen Mazurek Wash.
Survivors include her sister, Tina Wash Bond (Wallace); niece, Ella Bond Salt (Ben); and a nephew, Gregory Alexander Bond; great nephews, Matthew Rasasco Bond and Alexander Simon Bond of Pensacola.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel with Rev. Roberts Graves officiating.

MARY EMMA WILSON
Mary Emma Wilson, 82, of Gulf Breeze, died Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Pace, FL but had resided most of her life in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Wilson was an active member of Heights Baptist Church where she taught and worked with beginners through adults for many years. She also loved flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. R.R. Minshew.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe C. Wilson of Gulf Breeze; and one son and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Jane Wilson of Gulf Breeze; two sisters, Helen Schambeau of Pensacola and Virginia (Clarence) Taylor of Gulf Breeze; one brother, Fermon (Helen) Minshew of Pensacola; and numerous nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law, Gladys Anderson, Tommy Oubre of Pensacola and Mickey Wilson of Chipley, FL; and one brother-in-law, Calvin (Nevada) Wilson of Pensacola.

HETTIE E. BOHANNON
Hettie E. Bohannon, 92, of Pensacola, died Tuesday, November 23, 1999.
Mrs. Bohannon was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola and was a member of the First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Bohannon; two sons, Richard and Omar Bohannon; a daughter, Hilda Netzer; and her grandson, Richard Bohannon, Jr.
Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Angelina Bohannon and Anne Bohannon; a son-in-law, Julius Netzer; grandchildren, Kelly Bohannon, Regina Sisler, Diane Smith, Karen Trimmer, and Ray Bohannon; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 27, 1999, at St. John's Cemetery, with the Rev. Gary West officiating.

MADIA (MATTIE) CUNNINGHAM

Death is a Door Way

Madia (Mattie) Cunningham was born on February 24, 1945, in Frisco City, AL. On Thursday, November 18, 1999, at 10:10 a.m., very gently, God reached down, cradled his arm about her, and carried her home to be with him.
She was born to the late Willie and Annie Burrell Cunningham, she was one of ten children born to this union. Other family members that preceded her in death were a sister, Albina Cunningham and a brother, Willie Cunningham, Jr. She was educated in the Conecuh County School System in Evergreen, AL. She accepted Christ as her Savior in her youth and was baptized at Mt. Rose Baptist Church in Repton, AL. As a young women, she moved to Pensacola, FL and later united with Emanuel Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Robert L. Lewis.
She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, William (Yolanda) Cunningham; two granddaughters, Jazzie and Quanish Cunningham of Pensacola, FL; one god son, Michael Stallworth, Jr. of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Virgie (Van) Dortch of Pensacola, FL and Bruenett Tonstall of Repton, AL; five brothers, Clifton Cunningham, Tommie Cunningham of Englewood, CA, Robert (Misty) Cunningham, John (Mary) Cunningham of Los Angeles, CA and Sammie Cunningham of Pensacola, FL; a devoted sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Erma Cunningham and Van Dortch of Pensacola, FL; special cousins, Cleophis Burrell, Penny Williams both of Pensacola, FL, Mae (Bell Star) Cunningham fo Mobile, AL; devoted neighbor and family friend, Ossie Roger; life long friend and classmate, Jeanetta McCorvey of Repton, AL; three aunts, Mary Love of Frisco City, AL, Carrie Lee and Leona Williams, both of Pensacola, FL; one uncle, Ellis Burrell of Predue Hill, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

FRANK RAYMOND GEIGER
Frank Raymond Geiger, 66, of Milton, was born into his new heavenly life on Tuesday, November 23, 1999, in a Pensacola hospital.
He was born on April 27, 1933 in Columbia, Miss., the sixth son of Archie Luther Geiger and Madie Wilson Geiger. He was retired from the aircraft maintenance department of Raytheon Aerospace Support Services, NAS Whiting Field; was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 - 1957, the U.S. Naval Reserves 1957 - 1960, then active again from 1960 - 1969. He married Edith L. Forbes on August 27, 1960 in Columbia.
Frank was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Louise Geiger; and two brothers, Edsel Geiger of Columbia, Miss. and James Thompson Geiger of Granada, Miss.
He is survived by his wife, ``Edie'' Geiger; a daughter, Terri Lynn Carnley and son-in-law, Alvin Carnley of Jay; and two sons, Charles Stephen ``Chuck'' Geiger of Milton and John Stanley Geiger and daughter-in-law, Shannon Remele Geiger of Huntsville, Ala; four grandchildren, Amanda Leigh Carnley and Jay Randall Carnley of Jay, and Courtney Anne Geiger and Ashton Rebekah Geiger of Huntsville, Ala.; three brothers, Robert Harold Geiger of Sacramento, Calif., Milton Archie ``Ben'' (Alice White) Geiger of Columbia, Miss., and Charles Glyn (Bobbie Morgan) Geiger of Tylertown, Miss.; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Herring Geiger of Columbia, Miss. and Jenelle Geiger of Grenada, Miss.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces.
Frank was a member of Hickory Hammock Baptist Church, VFW Post 4833, Senior Friends and Better Breathers Association of Santa Rosa; and former member of the VFW, Columbia, Miss. and the East Milton Volunteer Fire Department.
Visitation will be Friday, November 26, 1999 from 6-8 p.m.
Services will be held at Donnie Sowell Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, November 27, 1999 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George Dunn, the Rev. Carl Gallops, and the Rev. Virgil Fleming officiating. Musical tributes will be offered by Jimmy Rinehart. Burial will be in the Lewis Williams Memorial Cemetery.
DONNIE SOWELL FUNERAL HOME, Milton, is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Jim Brock, George Hozack, Roy Geiger, Bo Cummings, Bill Cummings and Bert Cummings.

A special appreciation is extended to Dr. Philip Wade and staff; Dr. James Fay and staff; exception friends and advisor, K.C.; and all the angels of St. Catherine's at Sacred Heart Hospital and at West Florida Regional Medical Center - 4 North, SNU, and 6 South, for all their loving and tender care, not only to Frank, but to his family as well.

EUGENE EARL JAMES
Eugene Earl James, 79, of Pensacola, was called home Wednesday, November 24, 1999.
Waiting to welcome him through Heaven's Gate was his daughter, Linda Lou James; his son, Joseph Lawrence James; two grandchildren, Bill Daw and Misty Leigh Smith; and one great-grandson, Timothy Clyston James.
Mr. James was born in Cottage Hill, Ala. He was retired from Armstrong World Industries in 1977. He was a member of Pine Forest Pentecostal Church. He married Edna Lou Sutley in 1938. Together they raised eight children, 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Edna; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Betty James, Earl and Judy James and Gary and Barbara James; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Mary and John Milstead, Lida James, Cinda Holland, Carrie and Philip Russ and Krickett and Rusty Brake; 23 grandchildren; and 34 great- grandchildren. Also, numerous other friends and relatives. Mr. James was loved very much and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 26, 1999, at Pine Forest Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Hazel Godwin officiating.
Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery at Gull Point.
Pallbearers will be Jesse E. James, Gary C. James, Jr., Eugene E. James III, Lynn E. Tatum, Kenny D. Reid, Joseph A. Stevenson, Leonard G. Crowley, Jr. and David M. Southerland.

KATRINA LAFAY JONES
Katrina Lafay Jones, 33, of Pensacola, died Sunday, November 21, 1999, at a local hospital following a brief illness.
Ms. Katrina Jones was a life long resident of Pensacola. She was a member of New Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Cleo Jones, Jr.
Survivors include her mother, Bennie Jean Jones; three daughters, Shakita Robinson, Tiara Jones, and Oniesha Jones; one son, Demarkus Robinson; five sisters, Sherryl Jones, Tonya (Dave) Trotter, Roselinda Jones, Kimberly Jones, and Anita Jones, all of Pensacola; one devoted aunt, Nellie Baggett; one devoted mother-in-law, Mary Robinson; five aunts; four uncles; five nieces; one nephew; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 1999 at New Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Stanley officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jonathon Cushon, Robin Maxwell, James Harris, and George Atwood.

CARL NORRED
Carl Norred, 78, of Pensacola, died Thursday, November 25, 1999, at his home.
Mr. Norred was a native of Jay, but has been a resident of Pensacola most of his life. He was retired from Florida Drum Company. He was a member of East Hill Masonic Lodge #310 F&AM, Scottish Rite Pensacola Valley, The York Rite of Pensacola, and the Hadji Shrine Temple.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Syble Katherine Norred.
He is survived by a son, Dennis Norred; three granddaughters, Shelley, Brandy, and Ashley, and their mother, Dianne Seymour; two great-granddaughters, Cyndee and Lacee Katherine; his twin brother and sister-in-law, Curt and Bonnie Norred; four sisters, Nell Gentry, Irene Goldstien, Alice Sweeney and Mildred Dobson.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 1999, from Faith Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Hollis officiating.
Interment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery.
