ELMA ELIZABETH BROWN
Elma Elizabeth Brown, 67, of Milton, died Wednesday, December 8, 1999, at her home.
Mrs. Brown was a native and lifelong resident of Northwest Florida. Mrs. Brown was a former food server at Johnnie's Bar-B- que and a retired manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Milton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Brown; her son, Barney W. Stokes; her daughter, Patty Dixon; her grandson, Barney W. Stokes, Jr.; and her mother, Ruby Fisher.
Survivors include her granddaughter, Kathy Hynes of Milton; grandson, Buck Stokes of Milton; daughter-in-law, Pam Stokes of Jay; mother-in-law, Alethea Brown of Milton; niece, JoAnn Delezen of Milton; two very special friends, Myra Rollo and Joe Madden; and other relatives and friends.
Services at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 1999, at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joe Bamberg, Pastor Emeritus of First Baptist Church of Milton, officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mike Brown, Jimbo Delezen, Michael Brown, Wayne Greene, Andy Sandifer, and Phil Rollo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Madden, Larry Stanhope, Jimmy Delezen, Frank Rowell, Bill Jones, and Carl Reeves.
Burial will be in Crain Cemetery.
LEWIS FUNERAL HOME OF MILTON is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call at the Lewis Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.

JOE E. EDDINS
Joe E. Eddins, 86, of Pensacola, died from injuries sustained in a car accident Monday, December 6, 1999.
Mr. Eddins was a native of Florida and was a member of Faith Temple Church of God. He was a retired Pensacola City employee.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Eddins; seven daughters, Evelyn Roche, Viola Sangster, Lillie Kee, Carolyn Herring, Velmer Wright, Nancy Harwell, and Christine Bland; five sons, Buddy, Harold, Tim, George and Mike Eddins; 33 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 11 great- great grandchildren; two step- grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Allison and Bessie Brown.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, December 10, 1999 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Heiden, assisted by the Rev. Julian Walker, officiating.
Burial will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy, is in charge of arrangements.

WILLIE MAE EPPERSON
Willie Mae Epperson, 83, of Milton, died Thursday, December 9, 1999 at a local nursing home.
Mrs. Epperson was a life long resident of Santa Rosa County and a member of Ferris Hill Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed arts and crafts, needlework and working with flowers.
Survivors include husband, Lewis Epperson, Milton; two brothers, Ates Elliot, Milton, and Jimmie Elliott, Augusta, Ga.; three sisters, Estelle Wallace, Frances, Foster, both of Pensacola, Gertrude Wolfe, Milton; three step-daughters; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 1999 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Joe Bamberg. & Rev. Jack Goldfarb, officiating.
Burial will be in Serenity Gardens.
LEWIS FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m., Saturday.

ARTHUR HILLARY GOYNE
Arthur Hillary Goyne, 85, a retired naval officer, died at Mease Dunedin Hospital, December 6, 1999.
Born in Norristown, Pa, he was the son of the late Hillary and Beulah Goyne. At age 16 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard submarines in the Panama Canal Zone and the Phillipines. During World War II, Mr. Goyne took part in the invasion of North Africa. He served as a staff officer at Allied headquarters and on the flagship for the invasion of southern France. After the war, he was stationed in Germany and later was a member of Admiral Marc Mitscher's staff with the Atlantic Fleet. He retired from the Navy with rank of Lieutenant-Commander. After his naval service, Mr. Goyne engaged in motel management in the Baltimore area. In the early 1970's, he moved to Largo and later lived in Pensacola.
Mr. Goyne was predeceased by his wife, Mathilda Preston Goyne and son, Douglas Arthur.
He is survived by a sister, Jane Bainum of Silver Spring, Maryland and brothers, Robert Goyne of Greenville, Delaware & Richard Goyne of Oxford, Maryland along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Spring House Health Center, Dunedin. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. that day in Pensacola with a service conducted by the Rev. Michael Schulenberg of Holy Cross Episcopal Church.

BEATRICE HILL
Mrs. Beatrice Hill, 93, of Pensacola, passed away on Monday, December 6, 1999, at a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Hill was born in Pensacola to the late Mr. and Mrs. James and Rosa Love on January 9, 1906. She was married to the late Mr. Phillip Palmore and to this union was blessed one son. She was later married to Mr. Roy Hill, who also preceded her in death. She confessed Christ at an early age and was a faithful and loyal member of the Sunlight Baptist Church for over 80 years.
Left with her memory is a loving and devoted son, Arthur (Gladys) Palmore; special cousins, Willie C. (Rosalie) Jutson and Frances Leatherwood; special friends, Dea. O.J. Bullard, Melvin Davis, and Henrietta Jackson, all of Pensacola; nieces, nephew, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 11, 1999 at Sunlight Baptist Church with the Rev. W.R. Blevins, officiating.
JOE MORRIS AND SON FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hill's remains will be placed in the church for viewing at 10 a.m.
Special thanks from the family to Dr. Percy Goodman, Baptist Hospital MINU and 4th floor staff and the Bayside Manor staff.

MARY LYNDA POTTS
Mary Lynda Potts, 98, of Pensacola, died Tuesday, December 7, 1999, in a retirement facility.
Mrs. Potts was born October 14, 1901 in Waddy, Ky. She had been a resident of Pensacola most of the last 50 years, residing at Northpointe Retirement Home for the last 10 years.
Mrs. Potts had been an active member of the First Christian Church of Pensacola. She was well known and appreciated for her talent at the piano.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrel Kelly Potts; and two sons, J.C. Potts and Robert K. Potts.
Survivors include her children, Dr. James H. Potts of Port Orange, Fla., Mary K. Vice of Winter Park, Fla., and Frances P. Wilson of Pensacola; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 11, 1999, at 11 a.m., at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Gary West officiating.
Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Randall Wilson, Alan Wilson, Hal Potts, and Lt. Commander Jay Potts; and grandsons-in-law, Edward Nezovich and Greg Riddle.
Honorary pallbearers will be from the First Christian Church, Leroy Rigby, Dick Roberts, Julian Crowell, Cary Reeves, and Dr. Jim Reed.
HARPER-MORRIS MEMORIAL CHAPEL is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the Northpointe owners and staff, Dr. Adelaida Torres and members of the First Christian and First Baptist churches.

ELI C. BUDDY PRICE, JR.
Eli C. Buddy Price, Jr., age 54, of Pace, died Wednesday at his home.
He had lived all of his life in Santa Rosa County. He was a plumbing contractor and a member of the Pace Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Eli C. Price, Sr. and his brother, Joe Price.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Price; his mother, Bertie Price; two sons, Jeffery S. Price and John R. Price; two daughters, Melissa Daniels and Lori Price; brother, Bart Price; sister, Juanita Price Van Desteg; four step-sons, Roy E. Browder, Jr., William Bill Browder, Johnny R. Browder, Ronnie E. Browder; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday from the Donnie Sowell Funeral Home Chapel. Ron Carnley and Henry Johnson will officiate with interment in the Elizabeth Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Phillips, Bill Davis, Marvin Peeples, Stephen Price, Conrad Price and Roy Browder.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce Graham, Michael Parker, Gene Parker, Buddy Burkett, Donnie Wigen, Howard Gilley, Jr., Joe Wright, Robert Pace and Joe Johnson.
DONNIE SOWELL FUNERAL HOME of MILTON will be in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.

WILLIAM HENRY REEVES
William Henry Reeves, age 70, of Pensacola, formerly of Andalusia, Ala., died Tuesday, December 7, 1999 at his residence.
Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his father, John Henry Reeves and his step-father, William C. Teate.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Wynn Reeves of Pensacola; one daughter, Dana Reeves London of Andalusia, Ala.; three sons, William Mark Reeves of Crestview, Ben Reeves of Lynchburg, Va., and Steven Parrish Reeves of Sebring, Fla.; five grandchildren, Amy Cross, Niki Cross, Ryan Cross, Will Reeves, and Michael Reeves; his mother, Mrs. Fleeta Reeves Teate of Flomaton, Ala.; three sisters, Mrs. Johnnie King of Andalusia, Ala., Mrs. Jeanette Locklier of Flomaton, Ala. and Patricia Northrop of Opp, Ala.; a step-sister, Romaine Tadlock of Andalusia, Ala.; and two step- brothers, William Teate of Houston, Texas and Roland Teate of Pace.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 10, 1999 at 2 p.m. from Foreman Funeral Home with the Rev. Joel Faircloth officiating.
Interment will be in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

ILA MAUDE CLEGG REYNOLDS
Ila Maude Clegg Reynolds, died December 9, 1999 at a local hospital.
She was born November 30, 1905 in the Fisherville Community of Pensacola.
Ila was the second child of nine children born to Benjamin B. and Magdalen Blum Clegg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Ralph and Benjamin (Beeb) Clegg, and sisters, Carlyn Burns, Shirley Landry, and husband Aaron (Bill) Reynolds.
She is survived by her children; daughters and sons-in-law, Annie Laurie and Harry Dunlap, Ila Delores and Jim Sunda, Shirley Wanda and A.D. George; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Jackie Reynolds, James and Nants Reynolds, and Stephen D. Reynolds. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and many great grand-children and great- great grandchildren.
Excerpts from Ila's Road written by her sister, Frances attest... There's a bright tree on a hillside that you planted with love; it's a tree of your life blessed by God up above. Its leaves are so brilliant as if they're on fire; its roots are deep and its trunk, oh so strong. Each branch is a child that you nurtured along. Their love falls all around you and all whose lives you touched, family, friends, and everyone love you so much.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, in the chapel of Waters and Hibbert Funeral Home with Rev. James Sunda officiating.
Burial will be in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Harry Dunlap III, William B. Reynolds, Jr., Harvard Reynolds, Steve Taylor, Bob Malcomson, Bob Dennis, And Jamey Reynolds.
Visitation will be Sat. 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service.

MASTER SGT. ROBERT A. STEWART, RETIRED
Robert A. Stewart, 78, of Milton, departed this life at the home of his niece on Monday evening, December 6, 1999
He was united with the Methodist Church at an early age. Master Sergeant Stewart loved the Lord and his country; he was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Wars, serving in the United States Army 34 years as a medic.
He was born July 21, 1921 in the State of Ohio to the Union of the late Robert Sr. and Elizabeth Goodman Stewart. He was the brother of the late Mrs. Pollie M. Gilmore; Willie Lee Archie and Mamie Goodman Bell by blood 1st cousins, but in heart and spirit siblings.
Survivors include one son, Robert Kim Stewart of Raleigh N.C.; one grandson, Robert Caleb Stewart of Milton; two nieces, Marie Gilmore Dickerson of Milton and Nellie D. Stewart of Chicago, Ill.; three nephews, the Rev. Warren P. Gilmore, Sr. (Annie), Deacon James F. Gilmore (Emma), of Milton, and Erskin Gilmore of Pensacola; 15 grandnieces and 12 grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 11, 1999 at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Warren P. Gilmore, of James Street Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will be held with full Military Honors 2 p.m. Monday, December 13, 1999, at Barrancas National Cemetery, NAS Pensacola, FL.

MARGARET JEANETTE THOMPSON
Margaret Jeanette Thompson, 68, of McLellan, died Wednesday, December 8, 1999, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Thompson was a native of Covington Co., Ala. and had resided most of her life in the McLellan area. She was a member of the McLellan Church of Christ Church.
She is survived by her husband, Reamous R. Thompson of McLellan; one son, Reanzo Thompson of Somerset, Penn.; a sister, Maxine Barnhill of Bagdad; two brothers, Perry Wells of Brewton, Ala. and Mack Wells of Ala.; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Thompson will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 10, 1999 at the McLellan Church of Christ Church with Minister Clifford Dixon officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stump Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Glen Thompson, Travis Ates, Anthony Cabaniss, Chubby Locklin, and Buddy Odom.

PEARL HAMILTON WIGGINS
Pearl Hamilton Wiggins, 71, of Pensacola, died Thursday, December 9, 1999, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Wiggins was a native of Pensacola and was a member of Park Place Baptist Church.
Survivors include children and their spouses, James W. and Sandra Cole, Ralph S. and Ann Cole, Sharon A. and Jeff Martin, John R. and Cynthia Cole, Lynda A. and Jim Wyttenbach; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Irma and William Lloyd; brother-in-law, Floyd Forte; and a great-aunt, Ruby Summerlin.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 11, 1999 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Montgomery and the Rev. Floyd Forte officiating.
Burial will be in Beaver Creek Cemetery, Munson.
FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy, is in charge of arrangements.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.
