Margaret June Glass
Margaret June Glass, 42, 100 W. Jefferson St., Colfax, died at 3:45 p.m. Feb. 26, 2000, at her home.
Mrs. Glass was a hairdresser and worked at the Split Ends Beauty Shop, Colfax, for 23 years. She was a 1975 graduate of Western Boone High School and 1976 graduate of Metropolitan Beauty School in Lebanon.
She was a member of Thorntown Baptist Church and Colfax American Legion Auxiliary.
She was born May 28, 1957, in Lebanon, to Margaret Dukes. She married Charles Glass in Colfax on July 12, 1981, and he survives.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, Thorntown, with the Rev. Altum officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Cemetery, Colfax. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Hilda T. Musall
Hilda T. Musall, 80, Burlington, died at 6:09 p.m. Feb. 27, 2000, at St. Joseph Hospital and Health Care, Kokomo.
Mrs. Musall was a homemaker. She also had worked at RCA and Bryan's in Monticello. She attended school in Idaville and lived many years there. She also lived 25 years in Burnettsville and nine years in Burlington.
She was a member of Burlington Church of Christ, and had previously attended Idaville Church of God.
She was born March 23, 1919, in Iroquois, Ill., to Aeise H. and Dorthea Jensen Peters. She married Oliver F. Musall on March 23, 1937, and he died April 3, 1962.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Idaville Church of God, with Bob Hine and the Rev. Alvin Rockey officiating. Burial will follow at Idaville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Neptune Funeral Home, Burlington, and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday at the church.
John 'Jack' Huston Paull
John "Jack" Huston Paull, 72, 301 E. Kyger St., died at 10 a.m. Feb. 28, 2000, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Paull retired from the Cleveland, Ohio, Police Department in 1982, where he worked 27 years as a patrol officer. He lived in Euclid, Ohio, for 30 years before moving to Frankfort.
He was a 1945 graduate of Georges Township High School in Uniontown, Pa. He was U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He attended Lakewood, Ohio, Methodist Church, and was a member of Frankfort Fraternal Order of Police, Frankfort Moose Lodge 7 and Kirklin American Legion.
He was born Sept. 2, 1927, in High House, Pa., to Harry J. and Edith H. Doyle Paull. He married Evelyn June Summers in Euclid, Ohio, on Jan. 20, 1973, and she survives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Whitmarsh Funeral Home in Fairchance, Pa. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery there. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Larry L. Skaggs
Larry L. Skaggs, 74, Lebanon, died Feb. 26, 2000, in North Fort Myers, Fla., where he spent winter months.
Mr. Skaggs was a farmer and livestock buyer. He owned and operated Rockville Packing Co. and Skaggs Paint and Carpet in Clinton, where he lived 35 years. He had been a Lebanon resident the past three years.
He was a graduate of Jamestown High School. He was a former member and elder of First Christian Church in Clinton, and a member of First Baptist Church, Lebanon.
He was born Aug. 14, 1925, in Jamestown, to Walter and Monta Skaggs. He married Eileen Schooler, and she survives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Myers Mortuary, Lebanon, with the Rev. David Grieger and the Rev. Raymond Duff officiating. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery near Jamestown. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

Carroll W. Graves
Carroll W. Graves, 66, Delphi, died at 6:50 a.m. March 2, 2000, at Home Hospital, Lafayette.
Mrs. Graves was a housekeeper at Milner Community Healthcare Center, Rossville. She also had worked for Thoughtful Impressions and Hardee's in Delphi.
She was a graduate of Clay County High School in Clay County, W.Va.
She was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Clay County, W.Va., to George and Cynthia Coulter Ellison. She married John F. Graves and he died Oct. 28, 1980. She married James R. Townsend in June 1998, and he survives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Horn-Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi, with Pastor Don Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday.

Lonzie L. Goode Sr.
Lonzie L. Goode Sr., 81, Thorntown, died at 2:13 p.m. March 1, 2000, at Witham Hospital, Lebanon.
Mr. Goode had worked at Hicks Body Co. in Lebanon, then Continental Freezer in Lafayette for many years. He worked for Streamline Trailer in Thorntown from 1960-74, and at Endron in Thorntown from 1974-95.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving from 1941-45 in the Philippines and at Pearl Harbor. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church, Thorntown.
He was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Liberty, Ky., to Lambert and Dema Wethington Goode. He married Clara Fairfield in Thorntown on Sept. 25, 1947, and she died April 8, 1987.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home, Thorntown, with the Rev. Bud Moody officiating. Burial with military rites will follow at Maplelawn Cemetery, Thorntown. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
Charles 'Bud' Covey
Charles "Bud" Covey, 69, Lafayette, died March 1, 2000, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mr. Covey lived in Frankfort until moving to Lafayette in 1963. He attended Reitz High School in Evansville, and had worked 18 years for General Foods. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the John Purdue Club. He also was a life member of the Evansville American Legion.
He was born March 6, 1930, in Covington. He married Virginia Kanable on May 30, 1953, and she survives.
Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday.
Barbara Lou Applegate
Barbara Lou Applegate, 65, 458 First St., died at 4:15 p.m. Feb. 29, 2000, at Clinton County Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Applegate worked as a manager and waitress at several restaurants in Frankfort and Clinton County. She attended Frankfort High School, and had lived 12 years in San Antonio, Texas.
She was born April 22, 1934, in Frankfort, to Theodore F. and Dorothy L. Wilson Cole. She married Wayne P. Brandenburg and they divorced. She married John F. Applegate on June 20, 1956, and he died in 1988.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lewis Smith officiating. Burial will be at Bunnell Cemetery, and a bereavement dinner will follow at the V.F.W. post. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday.

Martha M. Scott
Martha M. Clark Reppert Scott, 83, formerly of 1411 Wilshire Court, died at 11:05 a.m. March 2, 2000, in Emmett, Idaho.
Mrs. Scott was a telephone operator at Indiana Bell until retiring in 1974.
She formerly lived in Lima, Ohio, and Lebanon before returning to Frankfort in 1958. She was a member of First Christian Church. She was a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Clinton Chapter 6, and a member of the Retired Telephone Pioneers.
She was born Sept. 7, 1916, in Hillisburg, to Vickery O. and Luanna Mechem Clark. She married Frederick O. Reppert on March 6, 1937, and he died Nov. 8, 1957. She married Melvin Scott in 1965, and he died in 1975.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Frye and Genda Funeral Home, with Pastor John Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with Eastern Star services at 7:30.
Lula M. Reed
Lula M. Reed, 88, Clinton House Convalescent Center, died at 12:40 a.m. March 1, 2000, there.
Mrs. Reed. was a farm wife and a member of Michigantown United Methodist Church. She lived in Carroll County until she was 6 and her family moved to the Beard area. She was a 1930 graduate of Frankfort High School.
She was born Feb. 11, 1912, in Carroll County, to Samuel C. and Pearl Dorsey Schenck. She married Oyette McBride in 1943 and he died July 12, 1946. She married Austin Reed in 1952, and he died in 1971.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Whiteman Cemetery, Michigantown. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday.
Esther 'Maxine' Costello
Esther "Maxine" Costello, 70, Chatsworth, Ill., died Feb. 29, 2000, at Alterra Sterling Home in Apple Valley, Minn.
Mrs. Costello worked as a bank teller at Citizens State Bank of Chatsworth for 10 years. She also had been co-owner of Costello's Town & Country Market for 30 years and for Huber's Clothing Store in Fairbury for 10 years. She was a member of Chatsworth United Methodist Church, and a 50-year member of Watseka Order of Eastern Star. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years.
She was born Jan. 24, 1930, in Forest, to Clifford and Mamie Dennis. She married Charles E. Costello in Dayton on Jan. 22, 1949, and he survives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chatsworth United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Steve Kettelcamp officiating. Burial will follow at Chatsworth Cemetery. Calling hours are 4-7:30 p.m. Friday at Hager Memorial Home, Chatsworth.

Lois E. Usher
Lois E. Usher, 84, 8867 N SR 29, died at 2:40 p.m. March 3, 2000, at Milner's Nursing Home, Rossville.
Mrs. Usher was a homemaker.
She graduated from New London High School in 1934, and lived all her life in Middlefork. She attended Middlefork Community Church.
She was born Aug. 20, 1915, in Tipton County to Albert and Lela May Duncan Butler. She married Carlton Alter Usher on Sept. 22, 1934, and he died Dec. 16, 1982.

Zelma Gleason
Zelma Gleason, 64, of Buena Vista, Ga., died Feb. 27, 2000, in Ellaville, Ga.
Mrs. Gleason was born July 8, 1935, in Indiana, to William O. and Vera J. Chaney Shoemaker. She had formerly lived in Clinton County for 32 years. She had lived in Buena Vista, Ga., for the past 32 years and was a member of the Oakland Church of God.
Services were March 1 at the Oakland Church of God.
Paul A. Baker
Paul A. Baker, 73, 708 E. Wabash St., died at 3:08 p.m. March 3, 2000, at Home Hospital, Lafayette.
Mr. Baker was a warehouse manager for Kraft Foods, Indianapolis, for 28 years and retired in 1985. He had lived in Sheridan until 1949, when he moved to Frankfort.
He attended Noblesville High School, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving from 1943-46. He was a member of First Christian Church, Masonic Lodge 54, and Fraternal Order of Police.
He was born Oct. 5, 1926, in Bakers Corner, to Floyd and Esther Johnson Baker. He married Betty Baird on March 14, 1947, and she survives.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Frye & Genda Funeral Home, with Pastor John Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Crownview Cemetery, Sheridan. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today.

Beulah (The Cake Lady) Lindley
Beulah "The Cake Lady" Lindley, 94, Kokomo, died at 12:23 p.m. March 4, 2000, at Windsor Estates Health and Rehab Center there.
Mrs. Lindley was a homemaker, and catered weddings and special occasions for more than 47 years.
She was a 1924 graduate of New London High School and taught school for a few years. She was a member of First Friends Meeting and a former member of West Middleton Friends Church. She was a Tipton County 4-H leader, and a member of the Prairie Home Economics Club in Tipton County.
She was born Sept. 10, 1905, in New London, to W. Earl and Bertha Floyd Stout. She married Clarence J. Lindley on June 26, 1927, and he died April 14, 1992.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville, with the Rev. Nick Block and Harold Pitts officiating. Burial will follow at New London Cemetery near Russiaville. Friends may call from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. today.

Infant Paul Michael Bruton
Infant Paul Michael Bruton, son of Michael Wayne and Angela Jane Friedrich Bruton, 3114 W. CR 200S, Frankfort, died at 10:25 p.m. March 2, 2000, at St. Vincent Family Life Center, Indianapolis, due to extreme prematurity.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandparents Karl and Carolyn Friedrich, rural Frankfort; paternal grandparents, Roger and Karen Bruton, rural Frankfort; maternal great-grandmother Betty Friedrich, rural Frankfort; and paternal great-grandmothers, Elizabeth Waye of Crawfordsville and Evie Jane Bruton of Lafayette.
Graveside services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Green Lawn Babyland, with Pastor Shan Sheridan officiating. No calling is planned. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and services.
Charles Don (Pinkie) Chandler
Charles Don "Pinkie" Chandler, 76, Naples, Fla., died Feb. 23, 2000, at Community Hospital there.
Mr. Chandler formerly lived in Indianapolis and worked for Stark and Wentzel until 1976. He also was a musician, and known for his band, Pinkie Chandler and the Swing Chandlers, in Frankfort, and The Tempos in Florida.
He was a graduate of Frankfort High School, and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Memorial services were Feb. 26 at Johnson-Pittman Funeral Home, in Naples, with the Rev. J. David Woerner officiating.

Clarence Allen (Spanky) Bray
Clarence Allen "Spanky" Bray, 57, 1200 Second St., died unexpectedly at 11:26 a.m. March 6, 2000, at the emergency room of St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
Mr. Bray was a set-up man at Federal Mogul and retired after 30 years. He attended Clinton Central schools.
He was born Jan. 16, 1943, in Nicholasville, Ky., to Nathan and Ruby Smith Bray Jones. He married Bonnie Jean Lamb on Oct. 22, 1972, and she survives.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lewis Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today.
Alva Richard Norris Jr.
Alva Richard Norris Jr., 78, Sandy, Utah, died Feb. 18, 2000, at his home.
Mr. Norris worked 16 years for Nickel Plate Railroad. He was a telegraph operator for Western Pacific Railroad in Elko, Nev., from 1957 until he retired in 1983. He had lived in Utah three years.
He was a 1939 graduate of Scircleville High School and a former member of the Frankfort Moose Lodge. He was a World War II veteran and fought at Utah Beach.
He was born May 24, 1921, in Frankfort, to Alva Richard and Pearl Etta Woods Norris. He married Kathleen Smeltzer and they divorced. He married Betty Jo Gumm and they divorced. He married Clara Ann Luthi in Wendover, and she survives.
There were no funeral services.
Irene Crum
Irene Crum, 95, Crawfordsville, died at 11:34 a.m. March 6, 2000, at Williamsburg Healthcare Center there following a brief illness.
Mrs. Crum grew up in the Moran area and had lived in Clinton, Boone and Montgomery counties. She worked at Murphey's Dime Store and Dekalb in Crawfordsville, and was the pet/hobby leader through Farm Bureau for many years. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star and the Ladies Aid group of Garfield Christian Church near Crawfordsville.
She was born Jan. 5, 1905, in Clinton County, to Coffil and Lora Catron Taylor. She married Charles D. Crum on July 5, 1927, and he died March 23, 1983.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fred Rodkey officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
