Ruth I. Parse
Ruth I. Parse, 97, Mulberry Lutheran Home, died at 11 a.m. June 24, 2001, there.
Miss Parse was born Aug. 6, 1903, in Carroll County to Oliver H. and Martha Abston Parse. She graduated from Cutler High School in 1921. She retired from Western Electric, Chicago, after working 47 years in its personnel and public relations departments. She lived in Clinton County for 32 years and wintered in Florida for more than 25 years. She was a member of the Geetingsville Presbyterian Church and its Over-Sixty Club.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Neptune Funeral Home, Burlington, with Greg Grant officiating. Burial will be in Geetingsville Cemetery. Calling is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Alice R. Siller
Alice R. Siller, 54, 409 Sixth St., died June 26, 2001, in St. Vincent Frankfort Hospital.
Mrs. Siller had been a paraprofessional at Kyger Elementary School for 20 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its Ladies Altar and Rosary Society.
She was born Sept. 7, 1946, in Pawnee, Texas, to P.V. and Rebecca Rodriguez. She married Joe R. Siller Jr. on Feb. 5, 1969, and he survives.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Borawski officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at Genda Funeral Home with a rosary service at 7:30.
Traci Jo Snapp
Traci Jo Snapp, 23, Lafayette, died at 1:40 a.m. June 26, 2001, in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Miss Snapp was raised in Rossville. She was a 1995 graduate of Rossville High School, where was an academic all-American in her senior year. She attended Purdue University.
Miss Snapp was born July 15, 1977, in Lafayette to Don D. and Carolyn Robbins Snapp.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Rossville Presbyterian Church with the Dr. Fred Page officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Calling is 4-8 p.m. at Bodine Funeral Home, Rossville, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Patsy K. Bower
Patsy K. Bower, 45, Colfax, died at 12:31 a.m. June 22, 2001, in Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Bower had worked in the meat department of O'Malia's Food Stores in Carmel and at Shopwright Market in Frankfort. She was a member of Frankfort Women of the Moose.
She was born Aug. 17, 1955, in Frankfort to Fred and Dorothy Stockberger Bitner. She married Larry Bower in October 1975, and they divorced.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Goodwin Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Howe officiating. Burial will be in Whiteman Cemetery, Michigantown. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday.
Ray Mitchell Jobe
Ray Mitchell Jobe, 69, Raleigh, N.C., died at 11:40 p.m. June 25, 2001, in Wake-Med Memorial Hospital there.
Mr. Jobe was a musician and lived in Frankfort before moving to Raleigh. He was a member of East Washington Street Church of Christ.
He was born Aug. 3, 1931, in Medcalf County, Ky., to John E. and Moss Dubree Jobe. He married Kathy Vorhees and they divorced.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Green Lawn Cemetery. Pastor John Stultz will officiate. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Genda Funeral Home.
Kenneth David Dickerson
Kenneth David Dickerson, 74, Clarks Hill, died at 7:46 p.m. June 23, 2001, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
Mr. Dickerson was a graduate of Stockwell High School and earned bachelor's and master's degrees from Purdue University in 1951. He was a retired school teacher, having taught 33 years in West Point, Southwestern and Battle Ground. He was the first principal of Harrison High School and taught adult education in Clinton County. He served the U.S. Navy and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the John Purdue Club, the Moose and Elks lodges, the Lions Club of Frankfort and the Frankfort Country Club. He was a 32-degree Mason and a volunteer at St. Elizabeth.
Mr. Dickerson was born June 16, 1927, in Wingate. He married Mary Elizabeth Snouwaert on Aug. 16, 1952, in Lafayette and she survives.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with the Rev. Mark Hill officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Georgia P. Albright
Georgia P. Albright, 85, Indianapolis, died at 2:15 a.m. June 24, 2001, in St. Vincent Hospice there.
Mrs. Albright was 1932 graduate of Colfax High School and worked as a clerk for 13 years at the Clinton County Bank & Trust, Colfax. She moved to Speedway in 1968. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, and was a member of Colfax United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Albright was born Sept. 28, 1915, in Bowers Station to Noble Rush and Edna Phebus Doty. She married David A. Albright on Dec. 24, 1935, and he died July 29, 1977. Surviving are three sons, David E. (Ruth) of Bloomington, Terrill D. (Judith) of Indianapolis and Michael R. (Janice) of Michigan; a brother, Kenneth Doty of Frankfort; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Wagner officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park. Calling will begin two hours before the service.

Melba June 'Miley' Hollingsworth
Melba June "Miley" Hollingsworth, 78, Sharpsville, died at 10 a.m. June 23, 2001, in her home.
Mrs. Hollingsworth attended Kokomo High School. She had been a line manager for Barbizon Factory and a real estate agent in Provo, Utah. She worked at Reliance Sewing Factory in Kokomo and retired from Delco Electronics in 1982 after 27 years. She also was a homemaker. She attended Beulah Land Church, Sharpsville.
Mrs. Hollingsworth was born July 9, 1922, in Gibson County to Buel and Delia Hope Miley. She married Benjamin C. Hollingsworth on July 27, 1941, and he died Dec. 27, 2000.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville, with the Rev. Dan Coomer officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery, Kokomo. Calling is 4-8 p.m. today.
Forest Mandaville 'Mandy' Padgett
Forest Mandaville "Mandy" Padgett, 82, Lebanon, died at 2:14 p.m. June 23, 2001, in Witham Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Padgett was raised near Kirklin and graduated from Kirklin High School in 1937. He farmed near Whitestown until 1986 and was a tool and die machinist for 26 years at Western Electric, Indianapolis. He moved to Lebanon in 1993. He was a past master of the Siloam Lodge No. 609 F&AM, Mechanicsburg, a member of the former Slabtown Daisy Pushers Band and the Lebanon Senior Citizens Top of the Hill Band and the Lebanon Bible Baptist Church.
Mr. Padgett was born May 18, 1919, near Waugh to Charles Martin and Pearl Mae Smith Padgett. He married Madge Elizabeth Languell on Nov. 25, 1943, and she died Dec. 31, 1988. He married Lola M. Allen Artman on Jan. 19, 1993, in Townsend, Tenn., and she survives.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Myers Mortuary, Lebanon, with Pastor Jack Stanley officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday with a Masonic service at 7:30.
Memorials may be made to the Lebanon Bible Baptist Church youth ministry or the Siloam Lodge scholarship fund.
John Norris Davis
John Norris Davis, 78, Atlanta, Ga., died June 17, 2001, in his home.
Mr. Davis was a graduate of Kirklin High School. In 1948, he received his bachelor's degree from Purdue University's School of Electrical Engineering. He was a World War II veteran and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He retired from the Electricity Management Division of Schlumberger Inc., where he was in charge of the design and marketing of transformers.
Mr. Davis was born in Frankfort on Dec. 17, 1923, to Lloyd E. and Florence Norris Davis. He married H. Frances Davis, and she survives.
Also surviving are six children, nine grandchildren and one brother, James L. of Frankfort.
Services were Wednesday at Christ the King Cathedral in Atlanta, Ga.
Marilyn M. C. Cheesman Haupt
Marilyn M. C. Cheesman Haupt, 66, Lafayette, died June 25, 2001, in her home.
Mrs. Haupt was a life-long resident of Lafayette. She graduated from of Dayton High School in 1952, an operating technician school in 1953, St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1956, and she earned a bachelor's degree in health arts at St. Francis College in 1979. She was a registered nurse for St. Elizabeth Medical Center 39 years. She retired in 1994 but continued to work part time in the wound-care center. She was a member of the Mulberry United Methodist Church, St. Elizabeth School of Nursing Alumnae Association, District 8 American Nurses Association, and the Jefferson Order of Eastern Star No. 592.
Mrs. Haupt was born July 1, 1934, in Lafayette. She married Ralph E. Haupt on Feb. 26, 1966, in Mulberry, and he died Nov. 26, 1993.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hippensteel Funeral Home, Lafayette, with the Rev. Thomas Hoehner officiating. Entombment will be in the Tippecanoe Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Calling will begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
