82, homemaker, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at Summerfield Suites Hospice.
A native of Guayama, Puerto Rico, she came here from Virginia in 1977. Mrs. Colon was a proficient seamstress. She was Roman Catholic.
Survivors include her daughters, Lydia M. Colon and Mayra Donnell, both of Ocala; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose I. Colon.

Gladys Pronger, 94
OCALA - Gladys Pronger, 94, a homemaker, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003.
A native of Darwen, England, she came here from St. Petersburg in 1989. Mrs. Pronger enjoyed traveling, music, and working in her yard.
Survivors include her son, Gordon D. Pronger, Ocala; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Pronger.

Leland C. Watkins, 65
THE VILLAGES - Leland C. "Doc" Watkins, 65, an independent salesman, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, in Gainesville.
A native of Bellefontaine, Ohio, he came here from Scaly Mountain, N.C., in 2002. Mr. Watkins was president of Briar Meadows Social Club. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Summerfield.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Watkins, The Villages; daughter, Beth Watkins DuMond, Jacksonville; sons, Craig Watkins, Howey-in-the-Hills, and Mark Watkins, Louisville, Ky.; sister, Rebecca Kunze, Fern Park; and six grandchildren.

SILVER SPRINGS - Dorothy E. Deacon, 90, a retired licensed practical nurse for Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, at Legacy Hospice House in Ocala.
A native of Lynbrook, N.Y., she moved here from Poughkeepsie in 1982. Mrs. Deacon was a member of Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Terry Deacon, Orlando, Robert Deacon, Silver Springs and Richard Deacon, Hyde Park, N.Y.; daughters, Janette Herman Appel, Silver Springs and Mary A. O'Connell, Ocala; brother, Willard Lounsbury, Winter Garden; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

OCALA - Dorothy D. Ely, 95, a retired bookkeeper, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004, at Legacy Hospice House.
A native of Hartford, Conn., she moved here from Centerbrook, Conn., in 1967. Mrs. Ely was a member of Essex Congregational Church and Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her son, Caswell L. Haskell Jr., Saluda, N.C.; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Caswell Haskell Sr.; and son, Leslie C. Haskell.

Theodore T. Gingrow, 80
BELLEVIEW - Theodore T. Gingrow, 80, a retired systems analyst for the state of Maine, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004, in Ocala.
A native of Gardiner, Maine, he was a 20-year winter resident from Hallowell, Maine. Mr. Gingrow was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and attended St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his daughters, Mary Gingrow Shaw, Augusta, Maine, Frances Newman, Windsor, Maine, Susan Myers, Gainesville, Jean Cote, Cypress, Texas, Ann Corbett and Elizabeth Heath, both of Gardiner; brothers, Tom Gingrow, Tennessee and Phil Gingrow, Augusta; sister, Pauline Hollis, Augusta; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Gingrow.

Survivors include her daughters, Juannell R. Hyer, Robin F. Chiorano and Pamela L. Hicks, all of Ocklawaha; brother, Chester Stevenson, Ocala; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A native of Gilford, Mont., she moved here from St. Louis in 2000. Mrs. Holdner was a member of Florissant Valley Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John Holdner, Ocala; son, John E. Holdner, Bedford, Mass.; daughters, Fran Elgin, Victorville, Calif., and Patricia Mosby, Ocala; and sister, Charlotte Difani, Wright City, Mo.

Miriam E. Jenkins, 72
DUNNELLON - Miriam E. Jenkins, 72, a homemaker, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at TimberRidge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ocala.
A native of Zephyrhills, she moved here from Arcadia in 1992.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, James W. Jenkins, Dunnellon; son, Richard W. Jenkins, Baker; and one grandchild.

Francis E. Mathews II, 64
TULAROSA, N.M. - Francis Edward Mathews II, 64, a retired telephone lineman, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2004, at home.
Mr. Mathews was a native of Ocala. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his son, George Mathews, Fayetteville, Ark.; sisters, Kathy Thompson and Rebecca Davis, both of Florida; and two grandchildren.

OCALA - Pedro S. Medina, 59, a warehouse clerk and truck driver for Romac Lumber Supply, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004, at home.
A native of Mercedes, Texas, he moved here from Boynton Beach one year ago. Mr. Medina was Pentecostal.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita C. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. McMullen.

Edward J. Neary Jr., 70
BRONSON - Edward Joseph Neary Jr., 70, a retired mechanic for the U.S. Air Force, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2004.
A native of New Haven, Conn., he moved here from Homestead 25 years ago. Mr. Neary was a member of Seams World of Military Order of the Cooties, Veterans of Foreign Wars, AmVets, Marine Corps League, and Catholic faith. He was also a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Neary, Bronson; son, Edward J. Neary III, Bronson; daughters, Cathy Newton, Crystal River and Doris Platt, Gulf Breeze; brother, Thomas Neary, Lawrence, Mass.; sisters, Mary R. Henwood, Quincy, Mass., and Arlene Lang, Bronson; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer McCoy and son, Evan McCoy.
Survivors include her daughters, Olive Kimberlin, Ocala, and Melba Long, Oxford, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A native of Italy, she came to Ocala from New Baltimore, Mich., in 2001. Her religion was Unitarian/Universalist.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Peracchio in 1975.

Born Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to Ocala from Toms River, N.J., about a year ago. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was Catholic.
Survivors include his son, Frank Petrone, Centereach, N.Y.; and sister, Dorothy H. Wyspianski, Dunnellon.

Born in Jacksonville, he moved to Ocala from Bradenton in 1985. He loved music, motorcycles, the forest and his many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Skipper, Silver Springs; daughter, Kimberly Underwood, Ocala; parents, Carol and Ken Davis, Maquoketa, Iowa; sister, Lori Gutscher, Jacksonville; and two grandchildren.

Born Meridan, Conn., he moved to Beverly Hills from Waterford, Conn., in 1987. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #155 in Crystal River, Amvets of Lake Panasoffkee, Beverly Hills Civic Association and Beverly Hills Fishing Club. Mr. Reinhard also loved bowling. He was Protestant.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian T. Harrington Reinhard, Beverly Hills; son, Russell R. Reinhard, Winter Park; daughter, Elaine R. Theriault, South Portland, Maine; stepsons, Louis Fluet, Mercer, Maine, Richard W. Fluet, Gales Ferry, Conn., and David B. Fluet, Stacyville, Maine; stepdaughters, Jeannine Tarr, Oakfield, Maine, Brenda C. Fluet, Staten Island, N.Y., Mary Lou Blackman, Lisbon, Conn.; brother, Edward C. Reinhard, Southington, Conn.; sister, Louise O. Loucks-Higgins, Southington, Conn.; and two grandchildren.
