SILVER SPRINGS - Alice C. Sorell, 91, retired, died Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, in Ocala.
A native of Clinton County, N.Y., she was a longtime winter resident from Delmar, N.Y.
Survivors include her sons, Neal Sorell, Delmar and Vance Sorell, Schodack, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert P. Sorell.

A native of Chesterhill, Ohio, he moved here from Coolville, Ohio, in 1979. Mr. Davis was a member of Savannah Masonic Lodge No. 466, and Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 558. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lena H. Davis, Ocala.

OCALA - Thelma I. Elkins, 79, a retired food technician, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Troy, Ohio, she moved here in 1961. Mrs. Elkins retired from the Marion County School Board, after 14 years. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 4209, Women of the Moose Lodge, and Order of the Eastern Star, all of Ocala.
Survivors include her daughters, Kim Petro and Connie Cornelius, both of Ocala; son, Rick Elkins, Alachua; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

OCALA - Sadie L. Evans, 91, a retired presser for Bruster Shirt Factory, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at Oakhurst Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Mrs. Evans was a native of Birmingham, Ala. She was a member of Agape Baptist Church. Mrs. Evans was also a former master welder for a Jacksonville shipyard.
Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Hansson and Ramona Perryman, both of Ocala; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
