ADRIAN - Barbara (Tuttle) Paull, 64, of Adrian, whose brother lives in Monroe, died Sunday evening in Bixby Medical Center. She had been seriously ill for three weeks.

PORT CLINTON, Ohio - Edward J. Kish, 69, of Port Clinton, formerly of Monroe, a charter member of Lake Erie Charter Boat Association, died Thursday morning at Firelands Community Hospital, Sandusky, Ohio.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Michael of Huron, Ohio and Mark of Zion, Ill.; two stepsons, Michael C. Hawk of Albuquerque, N.M. and Randall S. Hawk of Clyde, Ohio; three daughters, Michele Gasteier and Mary Jo Hart, both of Sandusky and Maria Troike of Castalia, Ohio; four sisters, Joanne Reaume of Romeo, Barbara Smith and Teresa Roof, both of Adrian and Donna Baran of Novi; 10 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Michael F. Misiak

Michael F. Misiak, 73, of Monroe, a former truck driver for Jones Transfer Co. and who was forced to serve as a teen-ager in a hard labor camp by the Nazis in World War II, died at 10:30 a.m. Friday in his home. He had been ill for two years and seriously ill for the past five years.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Rupp Funeral Home, Monroe, where a rosary will be recited at 5. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home and at 1 in St. John Catholic Church, Monroe, of which he was a member. The Rev. Terrence Kerner, pastor, will officiate and interment
will be in St. Joseph Cemetery under the auspices of Monroe Post 1138, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Born May 16, 1926, in Torun, Poland, he was the son of Franciszek and Maria (Bartkowiak) Misiak. He married Ruth Whited May 18, 1957, in Monroe. She died June 2, 1995.
He was employed for 27 years for Jones, where he retired in 1989.
He came to the United States in 1950 after spending several years in the labor camp in Germany and serving in Nuremberg with a Polish guard company attached to the U.S. Air Force. At age 14, he left his family and home and joined the Polish underground fighting the Nazis. He left for Germany and never came back.
He was liberated from the prison camp by American armed forces on April 10, 1945, a date he said he would never forget, according to an article written about him in The Evening News.
The article described a happy reunion with his mother in 1967 after they had been separated for 27 years.
He was sponsored by St. Mary Academy when he came to the United States and earned his citizenship on Aug. 3, 1955.
He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army from Jan. 20, 1955, to Jan. 18, 1957, and earned the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of Monroe Council 1266, Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are two sons, Terry G. of Dundee and Michael (Micky) of Monroe; two sisters, Jolanta F. Kowalczewski of Spring Hill, Fla., and Bogumila S. Janus of Lodz, Poland, and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe.

Robert Charles Boudrie, 77, of Monroe, a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Newport, died at 5:25 a.m. Sunday in his home. He had been ill for several weeks.

CHEROKEE VILLAGE, Ark. - Dundee-area farmer Lowell E. Addy, 77, of Cherokee Village, formerly of Dundee, died Sunday in his home after a brief illness.
Cremation has taken place, under the direction of Tri-County Chapel. A memorial service will be held at noon May 6 at Dundee United Methodist Church, Dundee. The Rev. Sherry Parker, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, L. Richard of Dundee and Milton M. of Lakeland, Fla.; a daughter, Janell L. Bogedain of Dundee; a sister, Patti Lutz of South Bend, Ind.; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
