Services have been set for William E. Perry, 72, of Monroe, who died at 3:58 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, where he had been for a day. He had been ill since February.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Allore Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Larry Detruf, pastor of First Church of God, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, under the auspices of Monroe Post 1138, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Born Aug. 9, 1931, in Whitley City, Ky., he was the son of John and Melda (Spradlin) Perry. He married Joyce Casteel May 14, 1954, in Harlan, Ky.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, William Mike (Peggy), Dave (Beth) and Tim (Lisa), all of Monroe; a brother, Clarence (Shirley) Perry of Radford, Va.; two sisters, Leddia Ramsey and Betty Seawell, both of Toledo, and six grandchildren.

FLAT ROCK - Services have been set for Bertha Mae (Greenwalt) Goodfellow, 103, of Flat Rock, who died Monday at Heritage Hospital, Taylor.
Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Flat Rock chapel of Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. D. Lee Cullen Jr., pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Boston, will officiate. Burial will be in Huron Valley Cemetery.
Born March 10, 1901, in Ross County, Ohio, she was the daughter of Michael and Perry (Swift) Lyons.
Surviving are a son, Fred Greenwalt of Sun City, Ariz.; two daughters, Norma J. (Jack) Wild of Midland and Wanda Pichan of Brownstown Township; a sister, Elizabeth Gage of Muncie, Ind.; 16 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from noon until services at 1 p.m. Friday at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, Huron Township. The Rev. Rick Sparks will officiate.
Born Nov. 8, 1928, in Detroit, he was the son of Gordon and Elsie (Leigh) Curtis. He married Susanne K. Johnson.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Gordon T. (Pam), Steven R. (Patti) and Gary R. (Linda); a daughter, Sally J. (David) Sturgis; a sister, Geraldine (Richard) Christ, and nine grandchildren.

FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP - Norman L. (Wolf) Gordon, 62, of Frenchtown Township died at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday in his home. He had been ill for nine months.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Monroe Full Gospel Church. The Rev. Harold Raines, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Born May 11, 1942, in Bay City, he was the son of Roy and Violet (Boze) Gordon. He made his home with Janette Vallade.
Surviving are four sons, Lonnie Gordon of Lincoln Park and Larry (Corina) Gordon, Jeremy (Kim) Vallade and Andrew Vallade, all of Monroe; six daughters, Deanna (Brett) Collette of Toledo, Patricia Gordon of Kentucky and Darlene (Rich) Richards, Donna Gordon, Brittany Vallade and Allysa Vallade, all of Monroe; 14 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

She was born Feb. 7, 1935, in Ypsilanti.
Surviving are a son, George J. (Heather); a daughter, Dorothy A. Copp, and three grandchildren.

Services were held this morning at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, Grand Junction, Colo. Major Parker officiated.
Born Aug. 12, 1920, in Chinook, Mont., she was the daughter of Walter and Nora (Adams) Hood. She married Raymond C. Cole Feb. 25, 1939, in Napoleon, Ohio.
Surviving are her husband; two sons, Walter of Phoenix, Ariz., and Delbert of Aurora, Colo.; two daughters, Sharon of Fruita and Letha of Commerce, Ga.; 14 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.

Born Feb. 26, 1926, in Middlesboro, Ky., he was the son of Howard and Maudie (Bussell) Wyerman. He married Margaret June Lanham July 2, 1955. She died in April, 1995.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan (Steve) Carpenter of Galax; five sisters, Mary Braden, Nada (Daniel) Braden, Opal Hill, Betty Jean (Jon) Wandt and Annabelle Thompson, all of Monroe; a half-brother, Ezra Pete of Monroe; two stepsisters, Agnes (Michael) McBane and Barbara Brown, both of Monroe, and three grandchildren.

MESA, Ariz. - William Charles Gabriel, 72, of Mesa, formerly of Hamburg and Monroe, died Friday in Mesa. He had been ill for a month.
Cremation will take place, and a private memorial service will be held later. Green Acres Funeral Home, Scottsdale, Ariz., is in charge of arrangements.
Born Sept. 14, 1931, in Monroe, he was the son of Lawrence and Anna Gabriel. He married Dawn D. Luchesa Aug. 24, 1957, in Washington, D.C.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Michael (Sue) and Bradley, both of Howell; three daughters, Daphne (Larry) Schwisow of Dundee, Dawna Heilmann of Ann Arbor and Sharon (Patrick) Bogart of Chandler, Ariz.; a brother, Lawrence Jr. of Monroe; three sisters, Marcelle (Wallace) Proskie of Monroe, Muriel Southworth of Carleton and Jane (Fred) Harris of Minnesota, and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Messinger Mortuary of Fountain Hills is in charge of arrangements.
Born Dec. 1, 1913, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Oswald and Alma (Irwin) Burke. She had been married to Horace Metevia. In the 1950s, she married Howard McCormack, and he died in 1975.
Surviving are two sons, Philip (Linda) Metevia of Tennessee and Clifford (Bonnie) McCormack of Michigan; two daughters, Janet (Ghazi) Tawakalna of Fountain Hills and Jean Hasselle of Mississippi, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, Vern (Pat) and Julius, both of Toledo; a daughter, Marsha (Don) Drafts of St. Cloud, Fla.; two brothers, Joseph (Dorothy) of Lambertville and John (Helen) of Temperance; a sister, Wanda Ferrell of Temperance, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
