ALBERTHA B. HILLARD
Mrs. Albertha Brown Hillard, 80, a resident and native of Franklin, died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at 12:30 p.m., at the Franklin Health Care Center, following a short illness.
She is survived by one brother, Johnny Brown Jr. of Franklin; and four sisters, Carolyn Brown Turner of Avondale, Anna Rhein, Doretha Brown and Helen L. Brown Logan, all of Franklin.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by one son, Henry Hill Jr.; her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister.
Visitations will be observed Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Asbury United Methodist Church.
Burial rites will be read Tuesday, at 1 p.m., at that church. The Rev. D. Briggs will officiate. Interment will follow in the Main Street Cemetery.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.

MARILYN R. JENKINS
Marilyn Randle Jenkins, 50, a resident and native of Morgan City, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at 4:45 p.m., at her residence, following a long illness.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Jenkins Sr.; mother, Lillian Ruffin Randle of Morgan City; two sons, Derrick Dwayne Randle of Guatemala Dededo, Guam and Donald Jenkins Jr. of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; three brothers, Thomas Edison Randle Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, Clyde Joseph (Elaine) Randle of Lafayette and Craig O'Neal Randle of Kinder; four sisters, Cassandra Yvette (Fred) Randle, Dorothy Giselle (Donald) Madison of Morgan City, Carmen Denise Randle of Lafayette and Ann Patrice (Dale) Randle of Morgan City; one grandchild; her mother-in-law, Octavia Jenkins of Cottonport; four brothers-in law of Cottonport; five sisters-in-law of Cottonport; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Thomas E. Randle; and three brothers, Dwayne Arthur, Malcolm Anthony and Jude Anthony.
Visitations will be observed Friday, Jan. 24, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Funeral rites will be read Friday, at 11 a.m., at that church. Interment will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
The Jones Funeral Home, Inc. of Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.

ROBERT JONES SR.
Robert Jones Sr., 65, a resident and native of Morgan City, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at 7:15 p.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.
He is survived by his wife, Vera Watson Jones of Morgan City; his mother, Almetra Burnette of Houston, Texas; five sons, Kevin (Cora) Jones, Mark (Tresh) Jones Sr. and Isaac D. Jones, all of Morgan City, Naval Officer Troy (Robin) Jones Sr. of Groton, Connecticut and Dwight Jones of Houston; four daughters, Carolyn (James) Gash Sr., Dannette (Michael) Hawkins and Joell (Stanley) Bobb, all of Morgan City and Veronica (Ronald) Johnson of Patterson; seven brothers, Samson (Savannah) Fornette and Ira Lousher, both of Morgan City; three sisters, Francis Moriosetti, Sandra Hebert and Jocelyn Brown, all of Houston; 25 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and two step great grandchildren.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by one son, Robert Jones Jr.; grandmother, Bertha Lyles; his father, George Carter; mother-in-law, Leola D. Watson and father-in-law, Zelmo Watson Jr.
Visitations will be observed Friday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church.
Funeral rites will be read Friday, at 2:30 p.m., at that church. The Rev. C.F. Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.

GENEVIEVE F. LEONARD
Genevieve Fitch Leonard, 60, a native of New Orleans and resident of New Iberia since 1990, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001, at 11:52 p.m., at Rehabilitation Hospital of Acadiana.
She is survived by two sons, Rockey Paul Leonard Sr. of Lydia, and Jesse Paul Leonard Jr. of Bull Island, La.; three daughters, Cindy Degeyter of Bull Island, Peggy Henry and Kathleen Friou, both of New Iberia; six brothers, Joseph "T-Boy" Fitch Sr., Francis Alvin Fitch and Myron Fitch, all of Breaux Bridge, Paul Fitch Sr. of Shriever, John Terry Fitch Sr. of Houma, and James "Jimmy" Fitch Sr. of Morgan City; six sisters, Mary Ann Bordelon of Franklin, Shirley Rogers of Shriever, Theresa Eaton and Pauline Davis, both of Lumberton, Mississippi, Delores Theriot of Pierre Part, and Joann Artigue of Opelousas; 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Fitch was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Paul Leonard Sr.; one daughter, Betty Leonard; one brother, Tommy "Peter" Fitch; one sister, Geraldine Fitch; one grandson, Michael Friou Jr.; and her parents, Joseph Alvin Fitch and Virginia Billiot Fitch.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Ibert's Mortuary.
Service will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m., at the Church of Assumption. Fr. Michael Russo will officiate. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. of Franklin.

SAMUEL LORENZO
Samuel Lorenzo, 78, a resident of Morgan City and native of Franklin, died Tuesday, June 8, 2004, in Morgan City.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charleen Cortez Lorenzo; two sons, Dr. Samuel Lorenzo and his wife, Debbie, of Atlanta, Georgia and Dale Lorenzo and his wife, Heather, of Morgan City; three daughters, Kathleen Lorenzo of New Orleans, Charleen Orgeron and her husband, Ronald, of Belle Chasse and Deborah Lorenzo of Baton Rouge; nine grandchildren, Dr.Chad Jackson and his wife, Jamie, of Kentucky, Chris Orgeon, Ashley, Elisa, Victoria, Zachary, Matthew and Joshua Lorenzo and Bianca Whitten; one great grandchild, Emma Kate Jackson; one sister, Bertha Lorenzo Caviness of Franklin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lorenzo was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sarah Farenella Lorenzo; one brother, Joseph Lorenzo Jr.; three sisters, Mary Lorenzo Grayson, Pearl Lorenzo Caro and Seartha Lorenzo Raphael; and one niece, Karla Peterson.
He was a Navy veteran who courageously served his country during World War II. He was retired from Shell Oil Company where he worked for 36 years.
Visitation will be observed Thursday, June 10, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Hargrave Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday, June 11, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Father Josh Rodrigue will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, commencing at 2 p.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
The East Mary Firing Squad will conduct military graveside honors.
Entombment will follow the mass in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
Hargrave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

ARTHUR LOUVIERE
Arthur Albert Louviere, 78, a native and resident of Franklin, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at 11:45 p.m., at Dauterive Hospital in New Iberia.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Burney (Louella) Louviere of Franklin and Mrs. Charles (Ella Mae) Hidalgo of Franklin; four brothers, Melvin Louviere of Irving, Texas, Ray Louviere of Jeanerette, Charles Louviere of Centerville and Burney Louviere of Franklin; two sisters, Tillie Charpentier of Jeanerette and Loretta Migues of Jeanerette; five grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Mr. Louviere was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Annabell Couvillier Louviere; father, Ambrose Louviere; mother, Agnes Landry Louviere; one sister, Lois Breaux; one brother, Kurney Louviere; and one grandson, Marvin Louviere.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Region.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., at Ibert's Mortuary.
The mortuary will reopen Thursday, at 8 a.m. to service time.
Service will be Thursday, Oct. 2, at 11 a.m., at Ibert's Mortuary. The Rev. Bobby Hodnett will officiate. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Arthur Louviere, Glenn Louviere Sr., Glenn Louviere Jr., Ronnie Anslum, Mark Anslum and Jared Anslum.
Arrangements are entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary of Franklin.

BLACKIE MARTIN
Blackie Martin, 79, a native of Bayou Sale and resident of Centerville, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at the Franklin Health Care Center.
He is survived by one son, Leroy P. Martin Jr. of Centerville; one daughter, Karen Sue Hebert and her husband, Chris, of Centerville; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Doraine Ladouceur Martin; two brothers, Roy and A.J. Martin; parents, Joseph R. Martin and Bella Martinez Martin.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Centerville Council.
Mr. Martin was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II in the Pacific Campaign.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville.
Service will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m., at that church. Fr. Kenneth Mayne will officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston, Suite 200, Lafayette, La. 70503.
Ibert's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

ELMA S. MINVIELLE
Mrs. Leonard Minvielle, the former Elma Schexnayder, 93, a resident and native of Jeanerette, died Sunday, April 20, 2003, at 5 a.m., at her residence.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Minvielle and his wife, Shereen, and Frank C. Minvielle and his wife, Pat, all of Jeanerette; two daughters, Marguerite M. Ritter and her husband, Alfred, and Harriet M. LaSalle and her husband, Al, all of New Iberia; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Minvielle was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Minvielle; parents, Felix Schexnayder and Gertrude Domingues Schexnayder; three brothers, Milton Schexnayder, Rene Schexnayder and Isby Schexnayder; and three sisters, Rita Keenze, Gertrude Schexnayder and Beatrice Schexnayder.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 21, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the David Funeral Home in Jeanerette, with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m.
Visitation will continue Tuesday, April 22 at 8 a.m. to service time.
Services will be Tuesday, at 11 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Rev. Ed Degeyter will officiate. Entombment will follow in the St. John Mausoleum in Jeanerette.

ANNA B. NORTON
Anna Boudreaux Norton, 90, a native of Bayou Sale and resident of New Iberia, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at 4:20 a.m., at St. Clare Manor in Baton Rouge.
She is survived by one sister, Gussie Achee of Houma; two grandchildren, Marlene W. Johnston of Baton Rouge and Kurt Wadenpfuhl of Orange Park, Florida; and a son-in-law, Woodroy M. Wadenpfuhl of New Orleans.
Mrs. Norton was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jo Norton Wadenpfuhl; parents, August Eugene Boudreaux and Alida Fage Boudreaux; four brothers, Harold, Sanville, Frank and Henry Boudreaux; and two sisters, Augusta Bacala and Hazel Boudreaux.
Graveside service will be Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2:30 p.m., in the Franklin Cemetery, with interment following. Mr. Arlin Peltier will officiate.
Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

GEORGE PATRICK
George "Buddyred" Patrick, 68, a resident of Beaumont, Texas and native of Baldwin, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2004, at 2:16 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital, following a long illness.
He is survived by one son, George Patrick Jr. in the United States Marines in San Diego, California; one daughter, Peggy Patrick Scott of Beaumont, Texas; two brothers, Edward Patrick Jr. of Four Corners and Wilbert Patrick of Beaumont, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Conrell (Eliza) Collins of Baldwin, Mrs. Lionel (Margarite) Jones of Franklin and Redoulia Patrick of Baldwin.
Mr. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Trinity United Methodist Church in Baldwin.
Funeral rites will be Saturday, at 1 p.m., at that church. Interment will follow in the Trinity United Methodist Cemetery.
The Jones Funeral Home, Inc. of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
