Dear mother of Bettty Wolbrink, Joanne (Jim) Long, James (Nancy) Lowry and Bill (Sharon) Lowry and the late Robert (Shirley) Lowry. Sister of Eleanor Beason, Florence Pearn, Jake Walter, Kirby (Mary Ann) Burl and Gerry (Pat) Burl. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Clara formerly worked at Bloomfield Country Day School as head chef. She loved to be surrounded by her family and also enjoyed her gardening and baking. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2004 at Coats Funeral Home, Waterford. Interment will follow at Cowell Cemetery, Fenton. BOONE, LEOANRD P. “LEO” of Waterford. September 18, 2004 at 46 years of age. Beloved husband of Kimberly for 28 years. Loving father of Anthony, Andrew and Austin. Dear son of Raymond and Ruth Boone of Akron, OH formerly of Waterford. Loving brother of James (Candi) Boone of FL, Carolyn (Dan) Filiatrault of CA and Walter (Michelle) Boone of Waterford. Leo is also survived by his in-laws Harry (Joan) Downs of Davisburg & Mercedes Hadley of Petosky and dear friends Kevin and Alison McCort of Waterford. Also survived by other loving family members and many friends. Leo owned and operated Lafayette Coney Island in Oakland Mall and Westland Mall. He loved his family, boating and golfing. BROWN, ROBERT E. of Waterford. August 3, 2004 at 75 years of age. Loving husband of Arlene for 55 years. Dear father of Sharon (Doug) Agren of Lewiston, Neil Robert Brown of GA, Ronald Bruce (Theresa) Brown of White Hall, Diane Marie (Roger) Haworth of Lewiston, Dennis Paul (Pamela) Brown of NC and Cary Scott Brown of Novi. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Robert was a member of Grace Lutheran Church since 1948. He had a great sense of humor and was a huge prankster who loved and adored his family. Robert was proud to be an Eagle Scout. He loved the outdoors and especially liked to work in his yard. He loved card games, crossword puzzles and horseshoes. He especially enjoyed his personal computer. Funeral service Friday, August 6, 2004 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 114 S. Genesee, Pontiac. Interment will follow at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills. COOPER, DANNY ALBERT, of Waterford, Nov. 16, 2004 at age 56. Loving father Eyvonne (Sean) Hook of W. Bloomfield. Dear son of Irene & Bill Stanley of Greenbush. Dear brother of Jerry (Linda) Cooper of Waterford, the late Peggy Lee Cooper, Michael Cooper and Patty Hurst. Also survived by his granddaughter Anna Lien Hook. Danny was a Veteran of the US Army, Vietnam. He was a cobbler, well known for his generosity who was much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. COOPER, ESTHER JANE (Mixter) “Janie”, of Waterford. August 14, 2004, at age 72. Beloved wife of Richard E. Cooper for 52 years. Dear mother of Richard C. Cooper of N.M, Michele (Tim) Marth of Holly, John (Brenda) Cooper of Waterford and the late Wendy Cooper (1977). Devoted grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 2. Janie was a graduate of the original Waterford H. S.. She was a life member and served as secretary in the 1960’s of Community Activities Inc. in Waterford. She then served as bookkeeper for Firebird Lanes for many years. Janie was a former Waterford Jaycette, an avid golfer (the Silverbells), doll & afghan maker and was self taught on the computer. Funeral Weds., Aug. 18, 2004, 11:00 a.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford. Pastor Dean Dumbrille officiating. Interment following at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston. ARTHUR, PAUL W. of Clarkston died suddenly January 7, 2005 at 75 years of age. Beloved husband of Emily for 54 years. Dearest father of Elizabeth (Andrew) Arthur, Gwendolynn (Thomas) Arthur, Lynda (Kirk) Witherell, Paul (Terry) Arthur, Laurence (Krysten) Arthur and the late Virginia Arthur; brother of Perley (Polly) Arthur and Laurie (Paul) Walker; also survived by 4 grandchildren. Loving father of Robert (Debbie) Bowen, Ronald Bowen, George (Bev) Atherton, Paul (Connie) Atherton, Jean (Richard Baldes) Succaw, Tom Atherton, Kirk (Norma) Atherton and Pat (Gary) Schultz. Beloved brother of June (Vern) Killane, Francis (the late Frank) Haslip, Gerald (the late June) Atherton, Margaret (the late John) Merrill, Dennis (Sandra) Atherton and the late Donna Sullivan. Also survived by 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. Bob loved to deer hunt, ride dirt bikes and quads. He loved western books and movies. He also enjoyed going to his cabin up north.

Eleanor was a member of Peace Lutheran Church . She retired from the City of Royal Oak, Parks & Recreation Dept.

BANFIELD, JOYCE C. of Brighton died suddenly January 14, 2005 in Ft. Myers, Florida. Loving wife of Richard “Dick” Banfield for 43 years. Dearest mother of Jon (Amy) Banfield of Pinckney, James (Michelle) Banfield of Ann Arbor, Timothy (Michelle) Banfield of Cape Coral, Florida and Kristine (Christopher) Carter of Davison; wonderful grandmother of Angela, Meghan, R.J., Joshua, Nathaniel, Mickala, Anna, Alexis, and Austin; sister of Carol (Roger) Carr and Ila Jean (the late Edward) Graham. Joyce was a 1959 graduate of Waterford High School. She married Dick in 1962 and they raised their family in Waterford, Clarkston, Ann Arbor, Tennessee and finally Brighton. She lovingly lived her life for her husband, her children and her grandchildren.

BATTERS, MARY L. of Wateford. January 23, 2005 at 85 years of age. Wife of the late Harold R. Batters. Loving mother of Wayne (Sherri) Batters of Waterford and the late Douglas and Larry Batters. Beloved sister of Dorothy Nickelson, Nick (Jean) Oncea, Mitchell (Eleanor) Oncea, and William (Jenny) Oncea. Beloved grandmother of Lori Gonzalez and Kelly (Erik) Fitzpatrick. Special great grandmother of Brittany, Casey and Ivy. Mary was a bartender at the Pontiac Moose Lodge, The Dixie Bar in Waterford and Tally Ho in Clarkston.

BOWDEN, H. LLOYD, JR. of Clarkston, January 26, 2007 at age 80. Beloved husband of Vivian Patterson Bowden for 59 years. Loving father of Steven L. (Beth) Bowden of Waterford, Kirt R. (Garnet) Bowden of Oxford and Jill I. Bowden of Waterford. Dear Grandfather of Jeffrey Bowden, Katie (John) Stein, Timothy, Adam & Joel Bowden. Great grandfather of Matthew Stein. Dear brother of Rebecca Nolan and special brother in law of C. William Schreiber. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lloyd graduated from Pontiac Central H.S., Pontiac Motors Trade School, Oakland Community College and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, WWII. He was an active member of Community Presbyterian Church his entire life, serving as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher. He was also a member of B.P.O.E. #810, Waterford and F.O.E. Airie #2887, Waterford. Lloyd retired from Pontiac Motor Division after 49 years of service.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Community Presbyterian Church, 4301 Monroe (at Sashabaw), Waterford
Visitation: Monday 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford and at church the hour prior to the service.

BRANDT, JERALDINE ELIZABETH of Auburn Hills. January 4, 2005 at 61 years of age. Wife of the late Stanley Brandt. Sister of June Hobby and John “Jack” Hobby and the late Clark and Jim Hobby. Also survived by 10 nieces and nephews. Jeraldine traveled extensively and was a model at a number of Auto Shows. Arrangements were entrusted to Coats Funeral Home, Waterford.

BRYANT, HERBERT formerly of Waterford, January 16, 2005 at 74 years of age. Husband of the late Marlene K. (1989). Loving father of Kelly (Brenda) Bryant, Michael (Pam) Bryant, Carolyn (Scott) Huff, Duane (Pamela) Bryant, Kimberly (Chris) Raptoulis, Keith (Becky) Bryant and Scott (Lora) Bryant. Beloved brother of Bertha (Bob), Lilly (Bill) Wilson and Kelley Bryant Jr. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with one on the way. Mr. Bryant loved his grandchildren. He also enjoyed fishing. Mr. Bryant retired from Pontiac Motors in 1989 after 37 years of service.

DAUGHERTY, ALFRED "Al", of Waterford died January 20, 2007 at 80 years of age. Beloved husband of Shirley for 54 years. Loving father of Ray (Vickie) Daugherty, Susan (Jim) Seibert, Ruth (David) Janka, Tom (Denise) Daugherty, Mary (Bruce) Taylor, Joann McDowell, Jim (Sunday) Daugherty and Teresa Daugherty. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, 5 adopted grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Preceded in death by 2 brothers Frank and Walter Daugherty. Al will also be sorley missed by his dog Jake. Mr. Daugherty was a veteran of the US Navy serving in both WW II and the Korean War. He retired from Price Brothers in 1992 after 29 years of service; he was also a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church.
Funeral Service: 11:00 AM Wednesday January 24, 2007 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church ( 5481 Dixie Hwy, Waterford). Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.

FACELLO, JAMES H. of Pontiac. January 14, 2007 at 75 years of age. Loving husband of Anna for 51 years. Dear father of Mariel (Russell) Broadwater, Carla Facello, Marcia (Jim) Saul and James Facello Jr. Beloved brother of Frank, Charles, Wayne, Johnny, Roger and Bobby Facello, Phyllis Kinder and Joanne Mira. Treasured grandfather of Raina, Elise, Natalie and Paige. Preceded in death by brothers Ernest, Ron & Kenneth Facello and sister Clara Facello. Jim worked at Stanley Works for over 35 years retiring in 1993. He loved to hunt and garden. Jim was an active member at Marimont Community Church.
Funeral Service: Friday, January 19, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Marimont Community Church, 424 W. Walton Blvd., Pontiac. Pastor Michael Elliott will officiate. Interment following at Perry Mt. Park Cemetery, Pontiac.

FELIX, FRANCES J., formerly of Waterford and Canadian Lakes. January 23, 2007 at age 85. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Robert Felix. Loving mother of Mary (Tony Dilmore) Esper and Teresa (Joseph) Opiela. Dear grandmother of Joseph, Julia, Nicholas, Elizabeth Opiela and Hannah Esper. Dear sister of Mary Ann (Glen) Trojanek, the late John Lenosky and sister in law of Jean Lenosky, Mary Jane Hale, Dorothy & Jack Farwell. Mrs. Felix was a nurse anesthetist during WWII, Army & Air Force serving also as a flight nurse. She retired from Pontiac General Hospital where she worked for many years as a surgical nurse. She and her late husband, Bob, met as pilots and were avid world travelers.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1955 E. Commerce St., Milford. Private prayers of Committal will take place at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston later that day.
Visitation: Friday 3:00-5:00 & 6:00-9:00 p.m. at COATS FUNERAL HOME, Waterford. Rosary service Friday 7 p.m.

GEE, KENNETH R. of Waterford died January 12, 2007 at 73 years of age. Loving husband of Katherine for 47 years. Dear father of Kenneth (Sue) Gee, Jr., Linda Gee and Jon (Lois) Gee; grandfather of William and Brianna Bland; brother of Ben Gee, Carol (Max) Pambid and the late Jean Kapson. Also survived by mother in law Jewel Simmon, many brother and sister in laws and nieces and nephews. Ken was a veteran of the US Army. He retired from GM Truck & Bus in 1987 after 34 years of service.
