GORDON - Doug Long, 27, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, in Bosque County in an automobile accident along with two step-daughters, Taylor Jo and Destiny Nicole Venable. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at New Gordon Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Crittendon officiating. Survivors include his wife, Connie; his father, Delwin Long of Gordon; step-mother, Connie Long of Huckabay; mother, Brenda Gardner of Borger; three brothers, Dustin Long of Huckabay, Blade Long of Mingus and Jason Gardner; one sister, Brandy Gardner, both of Borger; grandparents, Leon and Bobbie Griffin of Stephenville, Dub and Marjorie Long and Patsy Simpson, all of Borger, and great-grandparents, James and Dorothy Aikins of Borger.

Survivors include two sons, James Wilson of Amarillo and Ed Wilson of Haddon Heights, N.J.; one grandchild, Jennifer Scherkenback of Scottsdale, Ariz. and three great-grandchildren.
