Jimmy Pruitt, 48, died Monday, June 4, 2001, in his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Brown’s Chapel of the Fountains with Bobby Pederson officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Pruitt of Borger; three brothers, Sam Pruitt of Hereford, Joe Pruitt of Ontario, Calif. and Jerry Pruitt of Plainview; three sisters, Wilma Aasa of Yukon, Okla., Joan Ward of Stinnett and Dorotha Green of Durant, Okla. and a special friend, Diane Hicks of Fritch.

FRITCH - Melvin C. Presley, 72, died Monday, June 4, 2001, in Fritch. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thurday at Fritch Church of Christ with Mr. Richard Kasko, minister, officiating. Interment
will be in "The Garden of Love" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Survivors include one brother, C.A. Presley of Ft. Worth; one sister, Marlene Webb of Adrian; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
William Henry Powell
William Henry Powell, 93, died Monday, June 4, 2001, in his home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with Rev. John Dorn, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include his wife, Lillian; two sons, James Powell of Amarillo and Wayne Powell of Borger; one daughter, Dorothy Prater of Horseshoe Bay; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Sherman "Mac" McElroy
Sherman "Mac" McElroy, 71, of Borger, died Friday, June 1, 2001, in Northwest Texas Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Westlawn Cemetery in Borger with Rev. Terry Porter, pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial is under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include two sons, David McElroy of Prairieville, La., and Jeffrey McElroy of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Rhonda Schlaht of Houston and Sandra Poche of Prairieville, La.; one sister, Geraldine Smith of Borger; his caregiver, Tina Masini of Borger and five grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbie of the home; one son, Gregg and Vicki Jackson of Ardmore, Okla; two brothers, John Raymond of Borger and James Ray Jackson f Muskogee, Okla.; one granddaughter, Michele McLain of Ardmore, Okla. and one great-granddaughter, Kaitlynn McLain of Ardmore, Okla.

will be in "The Garden of Love" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Herin of the home; two sons, Robert Herin of Fritch and Kevin Herin of Canyon; one daughter, Gerry Payne of Borger; her mother, Edith Smith of LaPuenta, Calif.; two sisters, Faye Leonard of Pomona, Calif., and Judith Deen of Sanford and six grandchildren.

Margaret Allen Ford, 81, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Amarillo. No services are scheduled at this time. The body was donated to Texas Tech University Health Science Center at Lubbock. Arrangements are under the direction of Rector Funeral Home at 2800 Osage in Amarillo. Survivors include two daughters, Greta Oliver of Doyle, Calif. and Diedre Pomper of Farwell; one son, Danny Ford of Borger; two brothers, Alfred Allen of Denton and Johnny Allen of Acron, Colo.
Sayman Lewis (Tex) Collins
AMARILLO - Sayman Lewis (Tex) Collins, 77, died Saturday, June 2, 2001. Services were in the Schooler-Gordon Funeral Chapel today, located at 5400 Bell Street, with the Rev. Melvin Suttle of San Jacinto Assembly of God, officiating. Burial was in the Llano Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Striley of Amarillo, Trish Hughes of Belleville, Ill., and Diana Sue Bryant of Quanah; three brothers, J. Curtis Collins of Borger, Robert Collins of Sunray and B.J. Collins, Jr. of Redding, Calif.; one sister, Ola McNutt of Amarillo; seven grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.

Survivors include four sons, Mike Bryan and Bill Bryan, both of Fritch, Rick Bryan of Eunice, La., and Robert Bryan of Amarillo; five daughters, Barbie Schroeder, Pat Thompson and Tina Massengale, all of Borger, Jeannie Hogue of Portage, Ind., and Karen Rood of Edmond, Okla.; one brother, Virgil Bryan of Charleston, W.Va.; 31 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Burial was in Panhandle Cemetery in Panhandle under the direction of Brown Funeral Home of Borger. Survivors include one niece, Patsy Quade of Rochester, Texas and three nephews, James Elder of Amarillo, Bob Elder of Ruidoso, N.M. and Dale Elder of Austin.
