MT. VERNON – Kenneth Ray Hooks, 65, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2001. Services were held on Thursday at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rockwell Chapel in Rockwell. Survivors include his wife, Rose Hooks of Mt. Vernon; his children, Jeri Holmes of Celina, Ohio, Kenneth Hooks, Jr. of Rockwall; one brother, Wayne Hooks of Borger; one sister, Doris Sargent of Skellytown and four grandchildren.

STINNETT – Dolores Pendleton, 71, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, in BSA Hospice in Amarillo.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stinnett United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen W. Gaines, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett with arrangements entrusted to the care of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include her husband, Carroll; one son, Jeffrey Pendleton of Peachtree City, Ga.; two daughters, Carol Sepulveda and Sonia Hawkins both of Borger; one brother, Elbert Ahler, Jr., and one sister, Emily Farmer, both of Laughlin, Nev.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

EVANSTON, Wyo. – Lavina Munari Currey, 65, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, in Evanston, Wyo.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Uinta Baptist Church, 2411 Wasatch Road in Evanston, Wyo. Burial will be in the Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Okla. on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, Wyo. Survivors include four daughters, Beverly Lay of Stinnett, Lillian Henderson of Vinita, Okla.; Clara Siebrecht of Rock Springs, Wyo. and Mattie Jeffries of Jay, Okla.; four sons, Charles Currey of Collingsville, Ben Currey of Phoenix, Ariz., Nathan Currey of Owasso, Okla. and Joe Currey of Fairland, Okla.; three sisters, Caroline Nicholls of Kemmerer, Wyo.; Josephine Rudy of Diamondville, Wyo. and twin sister, Lillian Juvan of Kemmerer, Wyo.; one brother, Anton Munari of Laramie, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Joe Walter Moore, 80, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, in his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Riverview Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church and Rev. Ricky Griffin, pastor of First Baptist of Sanford, both officiating. Interment
will be in "The Garden of Devotion" at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include two sons, Charles of Denver, Colo, and Raymond of Borger; two daughters, April Thompson and Sylvia Witt both of Borger; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

STINNETT – W.A. "Tex" Tomlinson, 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, in Hansford Manor Nursing Home in Spearman. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Stinnett United Methodist Church with Rev. Landrum Medlock, former pastor and Rev. Stephen Gaines, pastor of Stinnett United Methodist Church, both officiating. Interment

AMARILLO – Ray Poulain, 69, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Borger with Dr. Howard K. Baston, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial, entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa. He is survived by his wife, Rose; one son, Marc Poulain of Allen; two daughters, Lori Potts of Houston and Jana Yarbrough of Amarillo; three brothers, Marcel Poulain of Borger, Paul Poulain of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Ronnie Poulain of Hutchinson, Kansas; one sister, Lorraine Harvey of Borger and six grandchildren.

Bryce Cody Walesiak was born on Monday, Sept. 3, 2001 and died the same day, and Braedon Don Walesiak was born Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, and died the same day, in Amarillo. Services are pending under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The boys were the infant twin sons of Cody Walesiak and Nacole Culwell. Survivors include his wife, Becky; two sons, Rob Goodwin of Borger and Chris Goodwin of Amarillo; one daughter, Darcy Lively of Amarillo; his parents, Roy and Bea Lively of Borger; one brother, Roy Lively, Jr. of Lubbock; two sisters, D.D. Reece of Borger and Regina Austin of Fritch and three grandchildren.
