MT. VERNON – Kenneth Ray Hooks, 65, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2001. Services were held on Thursday at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rockwell Chapel in Rockwell. Survivors include his wife, Rose Hooks of Mt. Vernon; his children, Jeri Holmes of Celina, Ohio, Kenneth Hooks, Jr. of Rockwall; one brother, Wayne Hooks of Borger; one sister, Doris Sargent of Skellytown and four grandchildren.

Dolores Pendleton
STINNETT – Dolores Pendleton, 71, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2001, in BSA Hospice in Amarillo.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Stinnett United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen W. Gaines, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett with arrangements entrusted to the care of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include her husband, Carroll; one son, Jeffrey Pendleton of Peachtree City, Ga.; two daughters, Carol Sepulveda and Sonia Hawkins both of Borger; one brother, Elbert Ahler, Jr., and one sister, Emily Farmer, both of Laughlin, Nev.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Lavina Munari Currey
EVANSTON, Wyo. – Lavina Munari Currey, 65, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, in Evanston, Wyo.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Uinta Baptist Church, 2411 Wasatch Road in Evanston, Wyo. Burial will be in the Olympus Cemetery in Grove, Okla. on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, Wyo. Survivors include four daughters, Beverly Lay of Stinnett, Lillian Henderson of Vinita, Okla.; Clara Siebrecht of Rock Springs, Wyo. and Mattie Jeffries of Jay, Okla.; four sons, Charles Currey of Collingsville, Ben Currey of Phoenix, Ariz., Nathan Currey of Owasso, Okla. and Joe Currey of Fairland, Okla.; three sisters, Caroline Nicholls of Kemmerer, Wyo.; Josephine Rudy of Diamondville, Wyo. and twin sister, Lillian Juvan of Kemmerer, Wyo.; one brother, Anton Munari of Laramie, Wyo.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Joe Walter Moore
Joe Walter Moore, 80, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, in his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Riverview Baptist Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church and Rev. Ricky Griffin, pastor of First Baptist of Sanford, both officiating. Interment will be in "The Garden of Devotion" at Westlawn Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include two sons, Charles of Denver, Colo, and Raymond of Borger; two daughters, April Thompson and Sylvia Witt both of Borger; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

W.A. "Tex" Tomlinson
STINNETT – W.A. "Tex" Tomlinson, 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001, in Hansford Manor Nursing Home in Spearman. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Stinnett United Methodist Church with Rev. Landrum Medlock, former pastor and Rev. Stephen Gaines, pastor of Stinnett United Methodist Church, both officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett with arrangements entrusted to the care of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include one son, Rev. Jim Tomlinson of Sulfur Springs; one daughter, Barbara Davenport of Stinnett; one brother, G.A. Tomlinson Jr. of Tulsa, Okla.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ray Poulain
AMARILLO – Ray Poulain, 69, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at his home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church in Borger with Dr. Howard K. Baston, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial, entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa. He is survived by his wife, Rose; one son, Marc Poulain of Allen; two daughters, Lori Potts of Houston and Jana Yarbrough of Amarillo; three brothers, Marcel Poulain of Borger, Paul Poulain of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Ronnie Poulain of Hutchinson, Kansas; one sister, Lorraine Harvey of Borger and six grandchildren.

Bill Garrett
ELBERTA, Ala. – Bill Garrett, 78, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, in his home. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Bay View Chapel in Foley, Ala. Burial will be in Lay Cemetery in Elberta, Ala., with full military honors. Survivors include one daughter, Genea Garrett of Elberta, Ala.; one sister, Altha Mitchell of Abilene and three grandchildren.

Annabel Brown
Annabel Brown, 88, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, in BSA Hospice in Amarillo. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Sizemore, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with arrangements entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include two daughters, JoAnn Bybee and husband, Ronald and Shirley Pierce and husband, George, all of Borger; two brothers, Bill Stephenson of Skellytown and Jess Stephenson of New Hall, Calif.; one sister, Francis Richardson of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchilden and five great-great-grandchildren.

John Thomas Broadaway
PANHANDLE – John Thomas Broadaway, 75, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2001, at his home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Calvary Baptist Church at Panhandle with Rev. Anthony Powell, Dr. Jim Howard and Dr. Bob Parker, all officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Home of Panhandle. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Linda Purvines of Panhandle and Dianne Padgett of Houston; one son, John (Barry) Broadaway of Fritch; one sister, Juanna Hale of New Caney; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

AMARILLO – Ann Lou Curtright, 85, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2001, in BSA Hospice. Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Joe Walter Moore
Joe Walter Moore, 80, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001, in his home. Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include two sons, Charles of Denver, Colo, and Raymond of Borger; two daughters, April Thompson and Sylvia Witt both of Borger; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Jimmy Ray Edwards
FRITCH – Jimmy Ray Edwards, 59, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2001, in Fritch. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Sanford with Rev. Bob Thomas, Crown of Texas Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Interment will be in "The Garden of Love" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include his father, James Edwards of Tishomingo, Okla.; his wife, Sylvia Edwards of the home; one son, Justin Edwards of Borger; six daughters, Christy Edwards Comer and Leticia Edwards both of Borger, Gwynn McIntire and Tina McGill both of Fritch, Mindy West of Waco and Sheila Lowry of Conroe; two sisters, Kerry Karnes of Borger and Fay Willson of Conway Springs, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Bryce Cody Walesiak and Braedon Don Walesiak
Bryce Cody Walesiak was born on Monday, Sept. 3, 2001 and died the same day, and Braedon Don Walesiak was born Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, and died the same day, in Amarillo. Services are pending under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The boys were the infant twin sons of Cody Walesiak and Nacole Culwell. Survivors include their parents, two sisters, Destiny and Brittany Walesiak; one brother, Christian Walesiak, all of Borger; paternal grandparents, Cathy McWilliams and Stanley Walesiak both of Borger; maternal grandparents, Dianna Jones of Skellytown and Billy Culwell of Borger; paternal great-grandparents, Audrey McWilliams and Hazel Northcutt, both of Borger; maternal great-grandfather, Ray Culwell of Borger and maternal great-great-grandmother, Charlotte Coward of Wheeler.

Michael Wayne Lively
STINNETT – Michael Wayne Lively, 52, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2001, in his home. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett with Junior Sparks officiating. Cremation was entrusted to the care of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include his wife, Becky; two sons, Rob Goodwin of Borger and Chris Goodwin of Amarillo; one daughter, Darcy Lively of Amarillo; his parents, Roy and Bea Lively of Borger; one brother, Roy Lively, Jr. of Lubbock; two sisters, D.D. Reece of Borger and Regina Austin of Fritch and three grandchildren.
