Zeda Mae Wright, 78, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, in Borger. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. in "Memory Lane Garden" Wednesday at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Griffin, pastor of First Baptist Church in Sanford, officiaiting. Arrangments are under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include two sons, Don Wright and Ray and Bettie Wright all of Borger; one daughter, Carolyn Jo and Larry Franklin of Keller; one brother, J.T. Goforth of Batesville, Ark.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

David Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiaiting. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Gruver Cemetery with Rev. Gary Gumfory, pastor of First Christian Church of Gruver, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon and Happy. Survivors include his mother, Susie and husband, Mike Kenyon, of Irving; one daughter, Liz and husband, Kenny Dean of Canyon; two sons, David and wife Anji Wood of Borger and Danny and wife Julie Wood of Fritch; one brother, Jess and Iris Wood of Gruver; eight grandchildren, Weston and Morgan Dean, Jaimi and Josh Wood, Brittney, Hailee, Cameron and Kennedy Wood; two nieces, Donna Miller of Gruver and Susie Scott of Tucson, Ariz. and four great-nephews.

Kerma Joyce Watson, 67, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2002, in Pflugerville, Tx. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in "Vesperland Garden" at Highland Park Cemetery with Rev. Orville Rogers, pastor of First Baptist Church of Stinnett, officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include three sons, Jeff Watson and James Watson both of Houston and Eddy Watson of Ashburn, Va.; two daughters, Jody Bashor of Georgetown and Valerie Adkins of Perryton; her mother, Rosa Lee Rogers of Borger; two sisters, Sheryn Turner of Amarillo and Teresa Griffin of Borger and 13 grandchildren.

Annie Ware, 94, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, in Hansford Manor Nursing Home in Spearman. Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Faith Baptist Church in Wellington with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Borger, and Leonard Harper officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Wellington with arrangements under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Wellington and local arrangements entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include two sons, Wayne Ware of Spearman and Larry Ware of Granite, Okla.; one daughter, Laverne Hiett of Borger; two brothers, James Ashcraft and Woodroe Ashcraft both of Clarendon; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth Johnson Thomas, 83, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, in the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Okla. Services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Roman Ward officiating. Interment
was in the Ramona, Okla. Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Charles Thomas of the home in Pawhuska; children Billie Thomas of Pawhuska, Okla., Charlotte Thomas of Bartlesville, Okla., Thomasa Davenport of Salina, Okla., Charles Thomas of Bartlesville, Okla., Hope Sutherland of Pawhuska, Rebecca Perry of Muskogee, Okla. and Mark Thomas of Tulsa, Okla.; 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Ben of Amarillo; daughter Sandy of Dallas; her son Stan of Odessa; daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Dan Braughton of The Colony; six grandchildren, brothers and sister, SM True, Jr., Mary Sherman and Riley True of Plainview; sister, Ona Belle Stephens of Lampe, Mo. and host of friends.

MESA, Ariz. – Charles W. Murphy, 85, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, in his home in Mesa, Ariz.
Services were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, at First Christian Church in Wauseon with Rev. R. Keith Oditt officiating. Burial was in Pettisville, Ohio Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Robinson Murphy formerly of Borger; two daughters, Patricia Murphy of Madisonville, Ky., and Sue Ann Murphy of Wauseon, Ohio.

GAINESVILLE – J.W. Mays, 79, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2002, in his home. Services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Gainesville with Rev. Steve Bezner, associate pastor of First Baptist Church of Kaufman, officiating. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Clement-Keel Funeral Home of Gainesville. Survivors include his wife, Bea Mays; daughters, Jayleane Smith and Angie Young, both of Gainesville; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

LaDonna Rae Jones went to be with her Savior on Friday, Jan. 18, 2002. She was born on Nov. 10, 1946, in Borger, to Raymond Yates and Betty Jo Fulton Yates. Services were held from noon to 1:30 p.m. today at Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home in Osceola with graveside services at 2 p.m. in Park Groves Cemetery in Lowry City, Mo She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Mimphord Jones; her mother, Betty; a brother, Jim Yates of Lebanon; her son, Seth of the home; her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Glenn Pence of Springfield.

Survivors include his wife, Veretta, of the home; two sons, Stanley and his wife, Kay of Muleshoe and Mike and his wife, Ann of Weatherford; three daughters, Barbara Barbour and husband, Bennie, Patricia Lemery and husband, Bruce, and Karen Felker and husband, Ernie, all of Borger; four brothers, Bobby Dale of Conway, Johnny Dale of Morgan City, La., Donald Dale of Ft. Worth and Billy Dale of Oakwood, Okla.; one sister, Ann Sandefur of Houston; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
