Lucille Rentfrow Dean
Lucille Rentfrow Dean, 89, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, in Twin Lakes Nursing Home. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stefan Eubanks officiating. Burial was in Kirby Tucker Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Jack; sons, Harold Dean of Conroe and Jimmie dean of Tomball; daughters, Betty Richards of Venice, Calif. and Ellen Reed of Lakeview, Ark.; brothers, Alpha Rentfrow and Cecil Rentfrow both of Borger; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Marie P. Kucera
Marie P. Kucera, 87, died Friday, March 1, 2002, in her home. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Hilda Cavazos, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Czech National Cemetery at Prague, Okla., at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangments are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. She is survived by her husband, Emil; two sons, Reiman Kucera of Borger and E. Jerry Kucera Jr. of Jenks, Okla.; a sister, Lizzie Jezek of Prague, Okla.; and four grandchildren.

Marvin A. Benton
Marvin A. Benton, 76, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, in Borger. Services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kenton Community Building in Kenton, Okla. Interment was in the Kenton Cemetery under the direction of Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City, Okla. Survivors include his wife, Jennie Benton of the home; one son, Tom Benton of Borger; one daughter, Marilyn See of Scott City, Kan.; one brother, John Benton of Huston; one sister, Allie Baker of Fowler, Colo.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Bernice Lortz
Bernice Lortz, 82, died Monday, March 4, 2002, in Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Okla. Private interment services will be held at Westlawn Memorial Park in Borger under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and James Klan; two grandchildren, Jessica and Christina, one great-grandchild, Damon, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Josephine Chestnut all of Bartlesville, Okla. and brother-in-law, Milder and Allen Miller of North English, 1A, and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth Ing White
Ruth Ing White, 83, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Pampa. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Survivors include her husband, Fred White of Borger; one daughter, Karen Byars of Pampa; one son, Jerry Gage of Amarillo; twin brother, Carl Johnson of Albuquerque, N.M.; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Elzie Virginia Crow
Elzie Virginia Crow, 75, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bunavista Baptist Church with Rev. David Langen, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in "The Garden of Serenity" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include three sons, Leslie Crow Eupora, Miss., Jimmy Crow of Borger and Arthur Crow of Thornton, Calif.; four daughters, Virginia Bell of Kingsbury, Frankie Harris of Borger, Betty Cummings of Borger and Kathy Cathey of Nemo; one twin sister, Elsie Puckett of Little Rock, Ark. and one sister, Mallie Arsenaulp of Phoenix, Ariz.; 24 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Thomas J. Adkisson
MESQUITE – Thomas J. Adkisson, 57, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with Dr. James Harms officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home and Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Adkisson of Mesquite; one son, Scott Adkisson of Mesquite; sisters, Claudette Caldwell of Pampa, Phyliss Key of Sanford and Barbara Jett of Borger.

Franklin Lee Guy
BRECKENRIDGE – Franklin Lee Guy, 73, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, in Abilene Regional Hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Chapel at Morehart Mortuary with Rev. Charles Kuhn, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Military grave side rites will follow at the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Survivors include his wife, Sheila Guy of Breckenridge; one son, Joe Guy of Iowa Park; one daughter, Anora Miller of Abilene; one step-daughter, Brenda Riley of Breckenridge; three step-sons, Wayne, Howard and Lynn Duggan, all of Breckenridge; and two brothers, J.W. and Don Guy, both of Breckenridge.

Ira "Bud" PaPa Yake
YAKE RANCH – Ira "Bud" PaPa Yake, 64, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, on Yake Ranch, 15 miles southwest of Stinnett. Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Yake was born on Oct. 8, 1937, in Borger. He married Alice Blackmon on June 6, 1958, in Stinnett. He was a lifetime resident of Hutchinson County and was a third generation cattle rancher. The Yake family was one of the first pioneer ranching families to settle in this area. He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Alice Yake of the home; one son, Henry Yake of Dumas; three daughters, Faye Hooper, JoBeth Contreras and Melissa Russell all of Borger; two brothers, Bill Yake of Stinnett and Cal "Runt" Yake of Stinnett; four sisters, Mary Gentry, Louise Sanders, Margie Lewis and Marsha Stout, all of Stinnett, and 10 grandchildren.

Winnie Mae Thompson Clark
PAMPA – Winnie Mae Thompson Clark, 79, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, in Pampa. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Jim Powell, pastor of the Hobart Baptist Church, officiating. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Survivors include two daughters, Katha Howard of Stinnett and Genevieve (Tootie) Carter of Blue Field, Va.; one son, Richard (Butch) Thompson of Pensacola, Fla.; one sister, Lena Scott of Coleman; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
