James Dale Crooks
James Dale Crooks of Irving died in Grapevine Oct. 24. He was 46. Born June 24, 1951 in Medina, Ohio, Mr. Crooks had lived in Irving for 21 years. He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Crooks; sons James Thomas Crooks of Euless, John Jerald Crooks of Irving; mother Dorothy Crooks of Medina; brother Terry Crooks of North Carolina; and sister Donna Seamon of Sandusky, Ohio. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Oct. 30 at Chism-Smith Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Irving.

Timothy I. McCubbin
Timothy I. McCubbin of Irving died Oct. 25. He was 36. Born Dec. 30, 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa, Mr. McCubbin was a computer engineer for Hewlett-Packard for eight years. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Mr. McCubbin was a former officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and active in the Boy Scouts of America. He is survived by his wife, Christine McCubbin; parents Dale and Karen McCubbin; sisters Tamara Castro of San Clemente, Calif.; one niece and one nephew. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Oct. 30 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home, the Rev. Steve Nutter officiating.

David A. Oliver
David A. Oliver, a lifelong resident of Irving, died Oct. 24. He was 38. Born Dec. 3, 1958, Mr. Oliver was a machinist at the Engine Shop of Dallas. He is survived by his mother, Eileen Caster Oliver of Irving; father and step mother Billy Jack Sr. and Marilyn Oliver of Gladewater; brother Billy Jack Oliver Jr.; brother and sister-in-law Bryan and Tammi Oliver of Irving; sister and brother-in-law Ann and Stanley Chapman of Irving; three uncles, including Huitt Caster of Irving; two aunts; nieces Stephany and Kimberly Oliver of Irving; and nephews Daniel and Jack Chapman of Irving. Graveside services were held Oct. 24 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Brown's Memorial Funeral Home.

David Poole Jr.
David Poole Jr. died Oct. 25 in Plano. He was 36. Born March 25, 1961 in Dallas, Mr. Poole worked as a supervisor. He is survived by his father, Paul Poole Sr. of Irving; mother Rosemary Poole of Roanoke; daughters Diamond Sheri Poole and Misty Rose Poole, both of Dallas, Mariah Rose Poole of Allen; son Shawn David Poole of Dallas; sisters Shelley Ralynn Raptis of Lewisville, Timi Paulette Huskins of Balch Springs, Barbra Telice Poole of Irving; and brother Spencer William Poole of Irving. Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his daughter Kristin Annette Poole and his grandfather. Services were held Oct. 29 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Paul Chetham officiating. Interment at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen.

Richard Riordan
Richard "Dick" Riordan of Irving died at his home Oct. 25 of natural causes. He was 74. Born July 22, 1923 in Morganville, Ky., Mr. Riordan served in recent years as Eucharistic minister for St. Luke's Catholic parish in Irving. He worked as a design engineer for heating and air conditioning equipment, serving as chief engineer for Mathes Air Conditioning, and also working for Heil-Quaker, Whirlpool, and Square D. Mr. Riordan was veteran pilot of the U.S. Navy, with service during WWII. He retired as a commander from the U.S. Navy Reserve. Mr. Riordan is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen; daughters and sons-in-law Susan and Tony Buhl, Sherry and Mark Rodebush, Sally and William Rawson; brother Pat Riordan; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Gene Nix; four nieces and nephews-in-law; one brother-in-law; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Mark, parents Jim and Mary, and 13 brothers and sisters. Services were held Oct. 27 at St. Luke's Catholic Church, the Rev. Doug Deshotel celebrant. Interment at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas. Arrangements by Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home.
