Akhatar Ali of Irving died Sept. 9. He was 42. Born Aug. 3, 1954, Mr. Ali was a grcery store manager. He is survived by his wife, Shahida Ali. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 10 at Calvary Funeral Home, Irving.
Tiffani Deanne Cain
Tiffani Deanne Cain of Irving died Sept. 7. She was 18. Born in Irving July 8, 1979, Ms. Cain was a 1997 graduate of Irving High School, where she was an editor and photographer for the Tiger Rag and Editor in Chief of The Irving Lair. A member of the National Honor Society, Ms. Cain won a scholarship earlier this year from the Irving News. She was a first-year student at the University of North Texas in Denton. Survivors include her parents, Tammy and Russel Cain; sister Jessica Cain; brother Russel Cain Jr.; grandmother, Carol Wood; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sept. 10 at South MacArthur Church of Christ, Tim Lewis officiating. Interment

Alma Colley
Alma Colley of Irving died Sept. 8 in a local nursing home of natural causes. She was 84. Born May 22, 1913 in Granite, Okla., Mrs. Colley retired in 1978 after 20 years as a cashier for St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo. She was a member of Buchanan St. Baptist Church in that city. Mrs. Colley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gerry and Sandra Colley of Irving; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Sept. 11 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, the Rev. Glynn Beaty officiating. Interment

Billy S. Hale
Billy S. Hale, a former resident of Irving, died at his home in Lake Bridgeport Sept. 5. He was 78. Born Feb. 21, 1919 in Greenville, Mr. Hale was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He retired as a sheet metal worker with E Systems. Mr. Hale was a member of Kirkwood Methodist Church in Irving. Survivors include his wife Dorothy Hale of Lake Bridgeport; sons Kenneth Hale of Irving, Glenn Hale of Lewisville, Stephen Hale of Lake Bridgeport; daughters Edie Flanagin of Bridgeport, Joyce Nichols of Parker County; and sister Vesta Luker of Long Beach, Miss. Services were held Sept. 8 at Hawkins Funeral Home Chapel, Bridgeport.
Rosmarie Goldammer
Rosmarie Goldammer, an Irving resident since 1963, died Sept. 8 at Irving Hospital of cardiac arrest after a long illness. Born in Germany, Mrs. Goldhammer owned and operated a ballet academy under her name on Irving Boulevard for many years. She also founded what is now the Irving chapter of the D/FW Humane Society, donating the building for the operation. Her remains will be donated to the Southwestern Medical School in accordance with her wishes. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Miriam G. Mutschler
Miriam G. Mutschler died Sept. 5 in Dallas. She was 97. Born in South Windsor, Ct. Oct. 23, 1899, Mrs. Mutschler was a homemaker. She is survived by her sister Helen Kenneth of Rhode Island and a brother-in-law of Germany. Services were held Sept. 8 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home.
George Joseph Patrick
George Joseph Patrick of Irving died at his home of natural causes Sept. 7. He was 76. Born in Detroit, June 7, 1921, Mr. Patrick retired in 1986 after 30 years in research and development for L.T.V. in Grand Prairie. He was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the North Texas Senior Amateur Golf Assoc., L.B. Houston Senior Golf Club and the Twin Wells Senior Golf Assoc. Mr. Patrick is survived by his wife, Tessie Patrick; sons and daughters-in-law Dave and Terry Patrick of Irving, George and Carol Patrick of Irving, Mark and Theresa Patrick of DeSoto, Daniel and Kristine Patrick of Austin, Mickey and Sherri Patrick of Bedford, Gerald and Mary Patrick of Austin; daughter Mary Jo Patrick and her partner Mary Kiowski of Irving; daughter Catherine Patrick and her partner Sandy Trice of Irving; and 13 grandchildren. Services were held Sept. 9 at Calvary Hill Mausoleum North Chapel, the Rev. Joseph Rivoire celebrant. Interment

Leo Eugene Shetter
Leo Eugene Shetter, 56, of Irving died Saturday, Sept.6, at his residence following a one-year illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ruby Shetter; brothers Lonnie and Alvin Shetter; sister Willie M. Scott; and stepson Tommy Shetter. Born in Fort Worth Texas, Mr. Shetter had been a lifelong resident of the Metroplex area. He was an employee of Smith's Painting in Irving and previously had worked at LTV in Grand Prairie. Mr. Shetter is survived by his wife, Shirley Smith Shetter, of Iriving; daughter Cassandra Shetter of Dallas; grandson Charles Campbell of Irving; stepsons Reggie, Rodney and Jeff Smith all of Irving; stepdaughter Dorothy Gant of Arlington; brothers and sisters-in-laws Burl and Joyce Shetter of Odessa and Jodie abnd Nell Shetter of Deer Park; former wife Doris Hazel Shetter of California; and nuemerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Services took place Monday, Sept. 8, at Bean-Massey-Burge Chapel in Grand Prairie. Graveside services followed at Godley Cemetery in Godley with Dr. Ernest Duncan officiating. Minnie B. Williams
Minnie B. "Min" Williams, of Granbury, died Sept. 7. She was 89. Born in Abilene Aug. 17, 1908, Mrs. Williams was a retired public school teacher. She taught in Irving, Benjamin, Abilene, Loraine and Colorado City for 31, retiring in 1969. Mrs. Williams is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Jane Williams of Irving, Gene and Merlene Williams of Abilene, Bob and Carol Williams of Cleburne; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews. Services were held Sept. 9 in Granbury. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 205 E. Pearl St., Granbury, 76048, the American Cancer Society or a charity of choice. Luke Wright
Luke Wright of Irving died at his home of natural causes Sept. 9. He was 60. Born in Greenville June 10, 1937, Mr Wright was a certified public accountant in Irving for 25 years. He was a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the North American Tax Practitioners. Mr. Wright is survived by sons Mark and Lance Wright, both of Irving, Mike Wright of Fort Worth; brother Frank Wright of Irving; two grandchildren; and five cousins.
