Sybil Schellenberg
Sybil Schellenberg of Oak Cliff died July 23 in Dallas. She was 81.
Born Sept. 27, 1916, in Italy, Texas, she was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and of Sunset Presbyterian Church. She was also a 20-year member of the Retirement Club of Foley's Department Store and Sons of Hermann Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Schellenberg.
She is survived by sons, Andy Schellenberg and wife, Melissa and Steve Schellenberg and wife, Linda, all of Irving; grandchildren, Julie Harper and husband, Mike, Cynthia Schellenberg, John Schellenberg, Melodi and Stefani Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Kayleigh Harper; and sister, Dorothy Hughes.
Services were July 25 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dan Hoke officiating. Burial followed at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Family requests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.

Alice Roejean Newman
Alice Roejean Newman of Oklahoma City died July 19. She was 28.
She was born March 20, 1970, in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Darwin Wayne and Freda Sue (Watkins) Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher; son, Anthony Allen Acosta; daughters, Amber Dawn and Ashley Marie Acosta; father; brothers, Donald Morgan of Wichita, Kan., Kenneth Morgan and Blaine Magill, both of Oklahoma City; and sisters, Sheila Ann Shield and Shannon Marie Magill, both of Oklahoma City.
Services were held July 23 at the Washington Pentecostal Holiness Church in Washington, Okla with Rev. Gary Siebert officiating. Burial followed at the Washington Cemetery.

Bebe Barrett
Bebe Barrett of Kilgore died July 23 at her home. She was 46.
Born June 10, 1952, in Longview, the daughter of Laurel and Zell Goodloe, she was a graduate of Irving High School. She was a commercial artist and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was also a member and volunteer of the Civic Garden Club in Kilgore.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Barrett of Kilgore; her parents; brother, Larry Goodloe of Kilgore; and a niece, Jessica Renee Goodloe of Kilgore.
Services are scheduled for 4 p.m. today at the First Presbyterian Church in Kilgore with Rev. William J. Ingersoll officiating.

Vila Mae Brumley
Vila Mae Brumley of Grand Prairie died July 24 in Irving. She was 83.
Born April 8, 1915, she was a housewife.
She is survived by sons, Larry Lloyd, Tommy, Roger and Melvin Maxwell; daughters, Eva Alexander, Faye Henderson, Shirleen Bright, and Kathern Best; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 27 at Calvary Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fisher officiating.

Joe Henry Conway
Joe Henry Conway of Irving died July 27. He was 76.
Born Sept. 1, 1921, in Floydada, he worked as a salesman and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Claudine Conway of Irving; daughter, Jodi Conway Salyers of Folsom, Calif.; sister, Florrie Conway of San Angelo; three grandchildren, Barbara Salyers, Jim Salyers and Kathryn Salyers; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled for July 29 at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens with Rev. Edra Hudson officiating.

Juan Jesus Torres
Juan Jesus Torres of Irving died July 25. He was 44.
He was born Aug. 17, 1953, in Robstown.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Amos Torres of Irving; three children, Juan Jesus Torres II, Belinda Fae Torres, and Ruben Lee Torres, all of Irving; four sisters, Theresa Jackson, Elodia Torres, Gloria Garcia, and Juanita Phieffer; three brothers, Carlos Torres, Frank Torres, and Ellie Torres; and grandchildren, Jessica Marie Torres, Juan Jesus Torres III, and Angelica Mystique Gandara.
Services were scheduled for July 28 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Salmeron officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Eunice Dunlap
Eunice Dunlap of Irving died July 25. She was 80.
Born Feb. 11, 1918, in Springfield, Ohio, she was a Sunday School teacher for more than 30 years and did volunteer work at Sophienberg Museum and also worked as a volunteer cook at Highland Lake Baptist Encampment in Austin.
She married Paul O. Dunlap July 26, 1941, in Odessa. He preceded her in death in 1974.
She is survived by four children, Paul Dunlap of New Braunfels, John Dunlap of Irving, Clark Dunlap of Saginaw, and Donna McGraw of Belton; sisters, Clara Standifer of Oklahoma City and Joann Yeargan of Ada, Okla.; brother, Albert McCord of Norman, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were scheduled for July 28 at the First Baptist Church of New Braunfels with Rev. Bill Arnold officiating. Burial followed at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

Betty Jane Dobbs
Betty Jane Dobbs of Irving died July 26 in Dallas. She was 68.
Born June 9, 1930, in Pottsboro, Okla., she was an Irving school district teacher for 31 years. She was IISD Teacher of the month in December 1987 and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, the Who's Who of American Teachers, and a charter member of Alpha Delta Cappa Beta Beta. She was charter historian of the Beta Beta Chapter.
She is survived by her sister, Arloa Sparks of Dallas; nephew, John Sparks and wife Barbara of Bedford; great niece and nephew, Andy and Kerri Sparks.
Services were scheduled for July 28 at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Restland Cemetery.

Billy Frank Jamison Sr.
Billy Frank Jamison Sr. of Irving died July 26 in Irving. He was 56.
Born Sept. 2, 1914, in Clarksville, he was a supervisor for the city of Irving Library and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was also a member of the American Golf Association.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Fiorelli Jamison of Irving; mother, Vera C. Jamison of College Station; three children, Belinda Ayako Jamison of Arlington, Marcie Wilson Parks of Irving, and Billy Frank Jamison II of Irving; brother, Damon L. Southard of Irving; two sisters, Barbara Ann Matthews of Irving and Debra Lynn Shirley of College Station of College Station; and one grandchild, Megan Nicole Parks.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. today at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Peil officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.

Sharon Joan Mitchell
Sharon Joan Mitchell died July 28 at a Dallas hospital. She was 56.
Born Sept. 4, 1941, in Anamosa, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn and Gwelda (Fairbanks) Siver, she graduated Morely High School in 1959, and Paris Beauty Academy in 1960.
She married William G. (Bill) Mitchell of Monticello, Iowa, March 3, 1962, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
For the past 20 years, she helped her husband manage their executive search firm in Dallas. She also was active with the Rejoice Lutheran Church of Coppell.
She was preceded in death by her father of rural Anamosa.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Mike Mitchell, Dan Mitchell; daughter, Nikki Mitchell Smith and husband, Michael Smith; grandchildren, Brittany Mitchell, Caitlin Mitchell and Meghan Mitchell, all of Dallas; mother; sisters, Janet Taylor of Mechanicsville, Iowa, Marilyn Bell of Onslow, Iowa, and Camile Buresh of Wyoming, Iowa; and brother, Jim Siver of Memphis, Mo.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Rejoice Lutheran Church, 532 East Sandy Lake Road, Coppell. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Cemetery in Dallas.
Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the church Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.

Stephen Paul McNally
Stephen Paul McNally, previously of Irving, died July 24 at his home. He was 35.
Born Jan. 8, 1963, in Pompton Plains, N.J., the son of Richard D. and Terri (DeLasota) McNally, he was a professor in the English department at Southern Methodist University in Dallas for eight years. He also was a published poet.
He is survived by his parents; brother, Michael McNally of Austin; grandmother, Bertha Hagedorn of Irving; and friend, Annie Laurie Cooper.
Services are scheduled for 9 a.m. Sunday at Selectman Hall on the SMU campus with the Rev. Jeremiah Cullinane officiating.

Curtis Baumert
Curtis Baumert of Irving died July 26 at his home. He was 68.
Born Aug. 21, 1929, in Austin, the son of Joe and Myrtie (Weaver) Baumert, he was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone in Dallas after 38 years of service.
He attended Austin public school, and graduated from St. Edward's University High School in 1947. H was also a member of the Presbyterian Church of Irving.
He is survived by his wife, Laverne (Dismukes) Baumert of Irving; daughter, Beth Futch and her husband, Jim of Grapevine; granddaughter, Stephanie Futch of Grapevine; sister, Patsy Stewart and her husband, David of Kingsville; and nephews, Kenneth Button of Cedar Creek, and Richard Dean Baumert of Hemphill.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Woodhaven Presbyterian Church in Irving with the Rev. W. Douglas Hood officiating. Burial is set for Wednesday at Knobbs Springs Cemetery, near Elgin.
Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home.

Helen G. Garnier
Helen G. Garnier of Irving died July 26 at an Irving hospital. She was 61.
Born Feb. 3, 1937, at Bremond, the daughter of Marion and Annie (Bartula) Snider, she was a sales coordinator at Hankla Distributors in Dallas for 10 years. She was also a member of the Chapel of Incarnation, University of Dallas. She also volunteered for many years during elections at Irving High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernard W. Garnier.
She is survived by her son, Tom Garnier and his wife, Valerie of Coppell; brother, Marion Snider Jr. of Garland; sisters, Maryanne Robinson of Dallas, Bernice Palmer of Princeton, Liz Ollmann of Ogden, Utah, Maxine George of Balch Springs, Barbara Snider of Bremond; and granddaughter, Meredith Garnier of Coppell.
Services were held July 28 at Cistercian Abbey in Irving with the Rev. Denis Farkasfalvy officiating.

Idella Anna Mangum of Irving died July 27 at an Irving hospital. She was 81.
Born Jan. 15, 1917, in Stieren, she was a homemaker, school teacher, and 20-year employee of Sanger Harris. She was also a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church where she was an active member of the Altar Society. She also was a Girl Scout leader and a member of the 20th Century Book Review Club.
She is survived by her son, Gary Mangum and his wife, Lonnie of Irving; daughter, Wanda Cooper and her husband, Alan of Irving; brother, Frank Zak of Austin; sister, Emma Neises of Houston; grandchildren, Susan Jones and her husband, Ted of Plano, Stephanie Herrington of Colorado, Scott Cooper and his wife, Tara of Coppell, Steve Cooper of Dallas, Andrew, Blake, and Kate Holbrook, all of Dallas, Brandy Mangum of Carrollton, and Dustin Mangum of Irving; and eight grandchildren.
Services were scheduled for July 29 at St. Luke's Catholic Church with the Rev. Daniel Clayton officiating. Burial followed at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas.

She is survived by sons, Harry Feuerbacher and Dudley Feuerbacher, both of Irving; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
