Sandra J. Davidson
Sandra J. Davidson of Irving died at her home of natural causes Dec. 25. She was 55. Born Nov. 30, 1942 in Dallas, Mrs. Davidson was a lifelong resident of Irving, a local daycare center owner for 15 years and a graduate of Irving High School. She is survived by her daughters Shannon Davidson and Shelley Davidson, both of Irving; sister Pat Rizos of Grapevine; and her parents M.R. & Frances Altom of Irving. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Dec. 29 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Elder Mike Montgomery officiating. Interment
at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens. The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Paul Hospice.
Edward Day
Edward "Ed" Day of Irving died of natural causes at Irving Hospital Dec. 24. He was 61. Born Sept. 1, 1936 in El Paso, Mr. Day was a 36-year resident of Irving and lived previously in Roswell, N.M. He retired in 1996 after 36 years as a maintence examiner with Otis Elevator in Dallas. He was a member of the First Christian Church, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, a member of the Square Dancers, Ham Operators Club, Irving Jaycees since 1965, a former member of the Irving Bow Hunters Club, a Jaycees International Senator and an avid bow hunter. Mr. Day is survived by his wife, Kay Day; mother Billie D. Hood of California; daughter Donna Day of Irving; and sister Dianne Cless of California. Services were held Dec. 27 at Donnelly's Colonial Funeral Home, the Rev. Ken Parlin officiating. The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
Jenna Lyneal Merriweather
Jenna Lyneal Merriweather of Irving died Dec. 23 in Dallas. She was 15. Born Sept. 16, 1982 in Los Angeles, Ms. Merriweather was a student. She is survived by her parents, George L. and Annetta Merriweather of Irving; brothers David Latson, Tony Merriweather, both of Irving; sister Amber Long of Irving; and grandmother Memi Mossette of Irving. Juanita Pearl Payton
Juanita Pearl Payton of Irving died Dec. 24 at Irving Healthcare Systems. She was 74. Born April 10, 1923 in Dallas, Mrs. Payton was a 17-year Irving resident and a homemaker. She is survived by her son, Glenn Payton of Oklahoma City; sister Alva Curry of Irving; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mrs. Payton was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Payton. Services were held Dec. 27 at Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Interment

Pat Puch
Pat Puch of Irving died Dec. 24 in Farmers Branch. She was 24. Born May 7, 1973, in Cambodia, she was an assembly worker for Dallas Semiconductor. Survivors include her father, Don Chhang of Cambodia; her sister, Poeurt Puch of Irving; her brother, Sryell Chhang of Irving; her grandfather, Puch Chhang of Irving; and her grandmother, Chon Choeung. Services were held Dec. 27 at Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is in Oak Grove Memorial Gardens.
Melanie Frances Rangel
Melanie Frances Rangel, formerly of Irving, died in Grand Prairie Dec. 24. She was 20. Born Nov. 11, 1977 in Dallas, Ms. Rangel had lived in Irving most of her life. She is survived by her mother and step father Mary and Robert Cole of Irving; brothers Vincent and John Rangel, both of Irving; sister Samantha Sligar of Irving; two uncles; an aunt; a great aunt; and two great uncles. Services were held Dec. 27 at Chism-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Mario Parga officiating. Cremation followed the service.
