Mr. Nall
A private graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, in the Farmersville IOOF Cemetery for William Clem Nall, 78, who died Jan. 5 in Wylie.
The Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Farmersville was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Nall was born in Whiterock, Tex., on Nov. 4, 1921, the son of Willie Bradley and Ruby Gertrude Shanks Nall. He was a Prisoner of War during World War II and was a Baptist minister.
Survivors include twin daughters, Patricia Ann Silbaugh of Wylie and Mary Elaine Bay of Emory; a sister, Billie Williams of Wolfe City; five grandchildren, Angela Kay Armstrong, Clayton Allen Martin, Carrie Annette Bay, Nathan Alan Bay and Jessie Aaron Bay, and two great grandchildren, Lauren Taylor Armstrong and Walker Armstrong.
Mrs. Luevano
Mrs. Sofia Betancourt Luevano, 19, of Princeton, died Jan. 8 in McKinney.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Ridgeview Memorial Park under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
Mrs. Luevano was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on March 16, 1980, the daughter of Jose and Sofia Mendez Betancourt. She married Juan Luevano on Dec. 19, 1999, in Denton. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by her husband, Juan Luevano of Princeton; her parents, Jose and Sofia Betancourt; a sister, Marisol Luevano, and brothers David Betancourt, Jose Betancourt and Joel Betancourt, all of Princeton; grandparents Eramoso and Juanita Mendez of Guero, Mexico, and grandfather Eramoso Betancourt of Michoacan, Mexico.
Mrs. Tandy
Madge Tandy, 70, of Georgetown, died Dec. 29, 1999. She was the mother of Charles Riley Sr. of Princeton.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in St. Richard’s Episcopal Church in Round Rock.

Mrs. Tandy was born in Goliad, Tex., on Oct. 30, 1929, the daughter of Clarence and Onie Lewis. She attended Texas A&I University at Kingsville and was crowned Miss Texas A&I.
She was a rancher in Hebbronville, Tex., and was very active in community services wherever she lived. She was extremely proud to be a sixth generation Texan, and was a dedicated mother and grandmother.
Surviving are two daughters, Lizette Marah Tandy and Alycia Nell Tandy Heeneman, both of Georgetown; a son, Charles Riley Sr., his wife Merrily Louise McCool Tandy, a grandson, Charles Riley Tandy Jr., and a granddaughter, Kayleigh Taylor Tandy of Princeton; two other grandsons, Charles Douglas and Patrick Clyde Heeneman of Georgetown; and another granddaughter, Mariah Nicole Heeneman of Georgetown, and cousins Jim and Elizabeth Taylor of Brownsville.
Mr. Hurst
W. O. (Ottis) Hurst, 87, a retired railroad engineer, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, in Fort Worth.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000 in Greenwood Garden Chapel of Greenwood Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Arlington Heights United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.
Mr. Hurst was born in Farmersville on Jan. 5, 1912. He worked for Texas & Pacific Railroad for 37 years before his retirement. He served in the U. S. Navy in the South Pacific with the 83rd Construction Battalion.
Mr. Hurst was a member of Arlington Heights Methodist Church and River Oaks Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Marie B. Hurst of Fort Worth; a sister, Lucille Gregory of Sulphur Springs, and many cousins and other family members.
Mr. Roberts
Funeral services were held at 12 noon Saturday, Jan. 8, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel at McKinney for W. S. Roberts, 59, a former resident of Farmersville who died Jan. 5 in Plano.
The Reverends Cliff Lester and Jerry Holbrook conducted the services, and interment
was in Ridgeview Memorial Park.
Mr. Roberts was a resident of Celina at the time of his death. He was born on July 12, 1940 in McKinney to Willard J. and Mildred Jean Duncan Roberts, long-time residents of Farmersville. He married Beverly Kinser in McKinney on Aug. 28, 1964, was employed by Settle-Radke AG-Power as a mechanic, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was active in the Collin County Youth Show and the Celina Quarterback Club, and the Celina Ag Projects Barn was named in his honor.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Roberts of Celina; two sons, Chad Roberts of Celina and Jason Roberts of Gunter; two daughters, Kim Roberts and Jenny Kelly of Celina; two sisters, Bobbie Donihoo of Van Alstyne and Pat Boren of McKinney, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Faye Langley.
Mrs. Hartness
Flora Lee Hartness, 92, a native and life-long resident of Blue Ridge, died Tuesday in the North McKinney Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Harris officiating. Interment
will be in Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction of the Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Blue Ridge.
Mrs. Hartness was born on July 7, 1907, the daughter of Henry Burcher and Emma Walker Mize. She married James Otis Hartness on Dec. 18, 1937, and was a homemaker and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Fielder-Baker Funeral Home at Blue Ridge.
Surviving are a son, Andre Hartness of Blue Ridge, three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mr. Cooper
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, in the Leonard Cemetery for James H. Cooper, 69, a Leonard resident who died Monday in Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.
The rites will be conducted by Charles Wrenn, and arrangements are being made by Taylor Funeral Home of Leonard. Visitation is from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Cooper was born in the Nobility community on Oct. 24, 1930. He was the son of Hubert M. and Fannie Lou Wheat Cooper. He was a bricklayer.
He is survived by two daughters, Rana Anderson of Farmersville and Karen Wyatt of Princeton; three sisters, Lola Flanagan, Hattie White and Johnnie Burchfield of Leonard; two brothers, Bill Cooper and Ronnie Cooper of Leonard, and five grandchildren.

Mr. Welborn
Leonard Ray Welborn, a Princeton native and a Navy veteran of World War II, died last Tuesday, Jan. 11, at the age of 74.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church of Princeton with Dr. David Wheeler and Dr. Deron Biles officiating. Interment
was in Ridgeview Memorial Park at Allen.
Mr. Welborn was born on Sept. 5, 1925. He was the son of Miles and Lillie Jewell Gooch Welborn. He married Alma Ruth Meuir on Oct. 15, 1948, in Princeton and worked as a farmer. He received the Collin County Farmer of the Year Award in 1982, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Princeton.
Surviving are his wife, Alma Ruth Welborn of Princeton, and a number of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Presley (Buster) Welborn.
Mrs. Box
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the First United Methodist Church of Blue Ridge, of which she was a member, for Edna Lorene Box, 90, a long-time Blue Ridge resident who died Tuesday in the C. C. Young Memorial Home in Dallas.
Officiating will be the Reverends Charles Hahn and Mark Thurman, and burial will be in the Blue Ridge Cemetery under the direction of the Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Blue Ridge.
Mrs. Box was a native of Dallas. Born on Sept. 26, 1909, she was the daughter of Edgar Herschel and Katie Bell Alexander Porter. She married John D. Box in Tyler on Dec. 24, 1926, and was a homemaker.
Surviving are a daughter, Frances Slater of Blue Ridge; three grandchildren, Holly McCray of Duncan, Okla., Cindy Marks of Lakewood, Calif., and Sheri Reynolds of Lucas, and three great grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Richey, and a brother, W. L. Porter, both of Tyler.
