Margurete Ballard Lynch

Margurete Ballard Lynch, age 87, of Lawrenceville, IL, passed away at 3:22 PM, June 28, 2007 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
Born August 28, 1919, she was the daughter of Charles and Oma (Winkler) Ballard. She married Ira Philo Lynch in 1942 and he passed away January 10, 1974.
She is survived by two sons John and Susan Lynch of Lawrenceville and Jerry and Janie Lynch of Corpus Christi, TX, two grandchildren Jessica Lynch of Texas and Chandler Lynch of Lawrenceville, IL and three nieces Beverly Barcroft, Mary Faye Wyatt, and Cindy Weber.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and one sister.
Margurete worked as a deputy in the County Clerk's office filling in after the death of Bill Hensley who was the County Clerk at that time. She worked in the County Clerk's office for approximately 19 years. She also worked in the Veteran's Office.
She was a member of the VFW and the American Legion Auxilliary.
The funeral will be on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
Alisha Kay Pinkstaff

Alisha Kay Pinkstaff, age 19, of rural Lawrenceville, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. Born October 11, 1987,in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Brian Pinkstaff of Vincennes, IN and Becky (Larrison) Pinkstaff of rural Lawrenceville.
Alisha attended Vincennes University and worked part-time at McDonald's in Lawrenceville. She graduated from Red Hill High School in 2006 where she had been a cheerleader.
She was a member of the Island Free Methodist Church.
She enjoyed riding four-wheelers and hanging out with her friends and her sister.
She is survived by her mother Becky (Larrison) Pinkstaff of rural Lawrenceville, her father, Brian Pinkstaff of Vincennes, stepfather Rick Vanschoyck of rural Lawrenceville, three sisters Allison Vanschoyck of rural Lawrenceville, Kendall Pinkstaff and Marlee Pinkstaff of Fayetteville, NC, maternal grandmother Alice Plunkett of Yale, IL and step-grandmother Betty Larrison of Lawrenceville, paternal grandparents Bob and Janet Wininger of Vincennes, IN, Kenneth and Vickie Pinkstaff of rural Lawrenceville, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Lowell Larrison, a maternal aunt, and a maternal uncle.
The visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. The funeral will be on Friday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery in Lawrenceville, IL.
Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.
Rosa E. Zehner

Rosa E. Zehner, 80, of Claremont, IL passed away Friday June 15, 2007 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.
Born March 8, 1927 in Princeton, IN she was the daughter of Joseph and Annie (Johnson) Foster.
On July 19, 1942 she married Clarence "Pete" Zehner. He died January 11, 2001.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Vincennes. She was a devoted mother and housewife.
She is survived by 3 sons: Roger (Edna) Zehner of Claremont, IL, Tandy (Judy) Zehner of Claremont, IL, Rick Zehner of Olney, IL, 2 daughters: Cathy (Joe) Zuber of Claremont, IL, Darlene (Dunae) BeauLieu of Olney, IL, and 8 grandchildren.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8PM. Burial will be in the Cresthaven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial Donations may be given to Good Samaritan Hospice or to St. Joseph Catholic School in Olney.
Irene E. Hovermale

Irene E. Hovermale, age 92, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away at 12:10 AM Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Lawrence Community Healthcare Center in Bridgeport. Born July 11, 1914, she was the daughter of Lee E. and Lucinda (Pond) Stevens. She married John L. Hovermale on January 20, 1934 and he preceded her in death on February 28, 1998.
She is survived by two sons Ronald Hovermale of Springfield, IL and John S. Hovermale of Lawrenceville; two daughters Karen Holmes of Lawrenceville and Rita Roan of Battlecreek, MI; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four brothers.
Mrs. Hovermale retired from Golden Rule Insurance after 15 years where she was a Claims Adjustor. She was a member of the Four Square Church in Vincennes, IN (affiliated with the Central Christian Church in Lawrenceville, IL.)
The funeral will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. Visitation will be on Saturday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the May Chapel Cemetery east of Lawrenceville.
Memorial donations may be given to the St. Francesville Christian Academy.
Lyman L. Fisher, Sr.

Lyman L. Fisher, Sr., age 83, of rural Lawrenceville, IL passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at his residence. He was born March 31, 1924, in Russell Township, the son of Willard and Martha (Timms) Fisher. He married Anna Smith on May 16, 1942 and she preceded him in death on January 31, 2007.
He is survived by four sons, Dave Fisher and wife Cindy, Will Fisher and wife Janice, Lyman Fisher, Jr. and wife Jeanette all of Vincennes, IN, and Michael Fisher and wife Susan of rural Lawrenceville; three daughters Patricia Newman of Cyress, TX, Yvonne Motteler of Newburgh, IN, and Tammy Miller of Lawrenceville, IL; two brothers Roy Fisher and Thomas Fisher of Vincennes, IN; and one sister Mary Jane Brown of Benton, KY; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Fisher was a self-employed truck driver for 30+ years and belonged to the Teamsters Local 142. He was a member of the Rising Sun Church. He was also a member of the Lawrenceville Elks, the Harmony Society, and the FOP.
The funeral will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice or to the Lawrence County Home Health through the funeral home.
Mary Patricia "Patty" Stallard

Mary Patricia "Patty" Stallard, age 60, of rural Lawrenceville passed away at 2:28 PM on June 12, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. Born December 20, 1946, she was the daughter of Hurshel Jeff and Goldie Pairilee (Medlin) Shelton. She married Danny Stallard on June 6, 1964 and he survives.
Also surviving are two sons Brian Keith Stallard and David Duane Stallard, both of Lawrenceville, IL; four brothers Lloyd Shelton of Flat Rock, IL, Ed Shelton of Santa Claus, IN, Louis Shelton of Lawrenceville, IL, Terry Shelton of Petrolia, IL; seven sisters Maxine Shelton of Sumner, IL, Wanda Belcher of Hammond, IN, Barbara Darnold of Lawrenceville, IL, Wilma Schroyer of rural Flat Rock, IL, Sharon Weiss of Sumner, IL, Linda Redell of Hammond, IN, Debbie Blockland of Hammond, IN, and one grandchild.
Patty was employed at the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville as a Unit Assistant. She was a member of the Pinkstaff United Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Pollard Cemetery with burial at the Pollard Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Lester B. Kirk

Lester B. Kirk, age 93, of Lawrenceville, IL passed away on Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born April 18, 1914 in Vincennes, IN, the son of George and Minnie (Buzan) Kirk. He married Mary Catherine Tolson on April 6, 1952 and she preceded him in death January 19, 2004.
He is survived by one sister, Marian Bonhomme of Houston, TX and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three sisters and four brothers.
Mr. Kirk was a lifelong resident of the Lawrenceville/Vincennes area. He attended the Free Methodist Church in Lawrenceville and retired from the Vincennes Sun-Commercial where he was the circulation manager. He was a member of the Moose and a member and past president of the Elks.
The funeral will be held on Thursday June 14, 2007 at 10:30 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 PM with an Elks Memorial Service to be performed at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
Marian Sue Clevy

Marian Sue Clevy, age 68, of Sumner, IL passed away June 10, 2007 at the Bridgepoint Health Campus in Vincennes, IN. Born September 6, 1938, in Vincennes, IN she was the daughter of Alvin and Frances (Williams) McKee. She married Jim Clevy and he preceded her in death in March of 2000.
She is survived by three sons, Jimmy Clevy, Jr. and David Joe Clevy of Sumner and Jeffery Alvin Clevy of Francisco, IN; one daughter Patricia Jean Lugo of Virginia Beach, VA; one sister Frances Earlene Bowers of Palmyra IN; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints and the Free Methodist Church in Sumner, IL.
The funeral will be on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Sivert-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Sumner, IL. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Sumner City Cemetery.
William E. Jerrell

William E. Jerrell, 82, of Bridgeport, IL passed away at 8:07 AM on June 7, 2007 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville. Born May 23, 1925 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Moses Harrison and Rebecca (Hobbs) Jerrell. He married Alice M. Cessna on July 11, 1942 and she passed away March 12, 1999.
William is survived by one son Steven R. Jerrell of Altamont Springs, FL; two daughters Peggy Deloriea of Lawrenceville and Patty Stevenson of Bridgeport; one brother Carl Jerrell of Arizona; one sister Thelma Preston of Lawrenceville; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 step-great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-granchildren. A special friend Clara Mathis of Sumner, IL also survives.
He was preceded in death by both parents, his wife, one son, five brothers, and one sister.
William was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Lawrenceville and he was a laborer for Marathon. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
The funeral will be on Monday at 10:00 AM at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, IL. Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Petty Cemetery.
