Services for Jonny Barr will be held today at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Boles officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Barr, 57, of Cuba, Ala., died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, in Sumter County, Ala. He was a longtime local race car driver and NASCAR fan. He also loved fishing and motorcycle riding.
Survivors include his wife, Kaye Barr of Cuba; four children, Candi Jones and her husband, Rafe, of Decatur, Daphne Gressett of Collinsville, Stacy Barr of Lauderdale and Brandon Barr of Cuba; a sister, Rita McDuffie and her husband, Jimmie, of Meridian; stepfather, Richard Willis of Wetumpka, Ala.; mother-in-law, Edna Clark of Meridian; five grandchildren, Patrick Jones, Randi Little, Shanna Jones, Whitney Gressett and Bo Gressett; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nona Barr Willis and his father, Harry Barr.
Pallbearers will be Dewitt Singleton, Owen Garrett, Randy Thompson, Leonard Amato, Bo Baucum and Maxie Baucum. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimbo Shaw, Dave Rew and David Ward.

DEKALB - Services for Jon Quentin Darnell will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at West Kemper Baptist Church, with the Rev. Daryl Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Darnell, 22, of DeKalb, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, in DeKalb.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Mamie and Al Alexander, two sisters, Danielle McDade and Eve Darnell, and his brother, Alex Darnell, all of DeKalb; his stepsister, Charity Hill of Memphis, Tenn.; paternal grandparents, Bill and Bertha Anderson of DeKalb; and a special loved one, Susan Cherry of Scooba.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Darnell; maternal grandparents, Norman and Olga Chaney; and paternal grandfather, Dewayne C. Darnell Sr.
Pallbearers will be Ben McDade, Sean Norcross, Jamie Jones, Jimmy Wayne McGowan, Kenneth Kitchens and Dave Carr.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 8 to 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home.

Lorene A. Kittrell

Services for Lorene A. Kittrell will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Douglas Stone, Wallace Terry, Dan Hartman and Dr. Clarence Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Gum Log Cemetery.
Mrs. Kittrell, 86, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God and Center Hill Senior Citizen Club.
Survivors include a stepson, Donny Kittrell of Brandon; a stepdaughter, Audrey Burkhalter of Dalewood; five nieces, Alice Duke, Juanita Covington, Jackie Culpepper and Carolyn Carney, all of Meridian, and Jeanette Bragg of West Memphis, Ark.; three nephews, Ira Lee Skipper of the House community, Ed Johnson and James L. Skipper, both of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther Irby; her second husband, Robert Kittrell; and her parents, William F. and Mary R. "Molly" Skipper.
Pallbearers will be her great-nephews, Wallace Skipper, David Culpepper, Ricky Johnson, Louis Covington, William Covington, Randy Skipper, Earl Wilson and Martin Gunn.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Gunn, Scotty Gunn, Jeff Blackmon and Chris Blackmon.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home.

Nancy Lee King
SEBASTOPOL - Services for Nancy Lee King were held Monday at 10 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Ben officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. King, 71, of Conehatta, died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, at Kidney Care.
Survivors include two daughters, Nelda King of Conehatta and Angeline McMillan of Neshoba; four sons, Adair King, Hugh King, Terry King and Michael Vernon King, all of Conehatta; five sisters, Jeffery Solomon of Neshoba, and Janie Shumake, Oldie Anderson, LoLee Jim and Dorothy Chapman, all of Conehatta; 31 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and three sons.

Eddie Wayne Lockley

BEAUMONT - Services for Eddie Wayne Lockley were to be held today at 10:30 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. John Henry officiating. Burial was in Lockley Cemetery.
Mr. Lockley, 61, of Leaksville, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy N. Lockley; three sons, James Lockley, Gary Lockley and Marty Lockley, all of Lucedale; two sisters, Faye Haygood and Mary Ann Spafford, both of Hurley; a brother, Elmer Ray Lockley; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pernell and Janie Lockley and a brother, Maxey Ray Lockley.

Charles Edward Steele
Graveside services for Charles Edward Steele will be held today at 1 p.m. at Beth Israel Cemetery with the Rabbi Jim E. Egolf officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Steele, 85, of Meridian, died Saturday, Oct. 30, 1999, in his home. He was born in Highland Park, Ill., the only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Steele. Mr. Steele was a graduate of Culver Military Academy and served in the 8th Army Air Corps during World War II. He achieved the rank of Lt. Col. (ret.) in the Air Force Reserve. Mr. Steele moved to Meridian with his family in 1952 and was a retired sales representative with Selig Chemical Industries. Until his death, Mr. Steele held active memberships in the downtown Meridian Kiwanis Club, Northwood Country Club, Temple Beth Israel and numerous conversation organizations.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jeanne Ullman Steele; two sons, Charles E. Steele Jr. of Ada, Ohio, and James U. Steele of Kingsland, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Elinore Marks.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a favorite charity.

Clarence A. Hardee Sr.

NEWTON - Services for Clarence A. Hardee Sr. will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Curtis Cain and Ron Gilstrap officiating. Burial will be in Newton Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Hardee, 80, of Newton, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Newton United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lavonne Usry Hardee of Newton; two daughters, Debbie Coghlan of Newton and Carol Combs of Marietta, Ga.; a son, C.A. "Buddy" Hardee Jr. of Anderson, S.C.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home.

Narvelle Covington Edmiston

Services for Narvelle Covington Edmiston will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. C.W. Nicholson officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Edmiston, 89, of Meridian, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a member of Matinee Music Club, Central United Methodist Church and an active member of the Retired Teachers Association. Mrs. Edmiston graduated from Meridian High School in 1929 and received her bachelor of arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Survivors include a stepson, Fred Edmiston of Meridian; an adopted son, George Atkins Jr. of Melbourne, Fla.; and a sister, Juanita Green of Kosciusko.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. and Lilly Covington; her husband, Edward W. Edmiston; and a daughter, Mary Narvelle Edmiston.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Erah Frances Anderson

Services for Erah Frances Anderson will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Enterprise Baptist Church, with the Rev. Taylor Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Anderson, 88, of Mobile, Ala., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, in Mobile. She was a member of the Baptist faith and a long time resident of Enterprise. She had made her home in Mobile for the last 16 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue A. Smith, and a son, Rickey Anderson, both of Mobile, Ala.; two sisters, Melva Little of Enterprise and Margaret Anderson of Blue Ridge, Ala.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Loyd Anderson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 1655 McGill Ave., Mobile, Ala., 36604.
Visitation will be Wednesday one hour prior to the service at Enterprise Baptist Church.

Mrs. Boyd, 91, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle in Columbus.
Survivors include a daughter, Elsie Boyd McLemore of Kosciusko; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Sallie Shaw Hill.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Branning, two sons, Stanley Jess Branning and the Rev. John Mark Branning, all of Philadelphia; two daughters, Jo Ann Nicholson of Philadelphia and Kristi Lynn Fox of Milton, Fla.; three brothers, Gerald Branning and the Rev. Stanley Barnett, both of Philadelphia, and Raymond Ross Barnett of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Connie Walters of Philadelphia; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 4 to 9 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel.

PHILADELPHIA - Services for Hayward McMillan Sr. will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Hamm officiating. Burial will be in Tucker Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McMillan, 49, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 1999, in his home.
Survivors include two sons, Hayward McMillan Jr. and Teddy McMillan, three daughters, Adrienne Tubby, Jolena McMillan and Miriam McMillan, his mother, Lurlien Chickaway, five brothers, Lee Chickaway, Billy Charlie Chickaway, John Chickaway, Robert Chickaway and Christopher Chickaway, all of Philadelphia; two sisters, Earlene Flores of Santa Ana, Calif., and Mary Theresa Chickaway of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be today at the family home in the Tucker Community.

Mrs. Huffmaster, 58, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Shelly Messer and her husband, Kirk, and Sandra Irby and her husband, Jerry, all of Meridian; three sons, James R. "Ricky" Huffmaster Jr. and his wife, B.K., of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Johnny Huffmaster and his wife, Lesa, of Jackson, and Ronnie Huffmaster of Stonewall; nine grandchildren, one step grandchild, one step great-grandchild; and two sisters, Sarah Rogers and Eloise McNulty, both of Stonewall.
