PHILADELPHIA - Services for Erna C. "Ernie" Milling will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Thomas Shockley and James Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Morrow Cemetery in Neshoba County.
Mr. Milling, 79, of Mobile, Ala., died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at Providence Hospital in Mobile.
Survivors include his wife, Priscilla A. Milling of Mobile; a son, Philip E. Milling of Austin, Texas; four stepsons, David O. Richardson of Jesup, Ga., Jack E. Richardson of Jackson Center, Ohio, Matthew S. Richardson of Nokomis, Fla., and Douglas B. Richardson of Sidney, Ohio; a daughter, Cheryl A. Horton of Morrisville, N.C.; three stepdaughters, E. Ruth Hutchinson of Live Oak, Fla., Melanie B. Roe of Sidney and Gail E. Fleming of Conover, Ohio; two brothers, Jack Milling of Florence and Doyle Milling of Pearl; two sisters, Myrtis Mitchell and Nadean Slaughter, both of Philadelphia; two grandchildren, 18 stepgrandchildren, 20 stepgreat-grandchildren, one stepgreat-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie G. Milling; a brother, Irvin Milling; and a sister, Elenor Moore.
The family requests memorials be made to First Church of God in Mobile.

Myrtle Lancaster Busby

PHILADELPHIA - Services for Myrtle Lancaster Busby will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Dan Howard officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Busby, 86, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, La. She was a graduate of Livingston University. Upon graduation in 1935 she moved to Neshoba County to teach school in the Dixon Community, where she met her husband. Mrs. Busby also taught in the Philadelphia School System form 1954 until her retirement in 1978. In 1993 she moved to Louisiana, to be near her daughter, due to failing health. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Woman's Club.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce Lee Busby of Doss, Texas, and Steve Edgar Busby of Cupertino, Calif.; a daughter, Carol Ann Busby Land of Alexandria, La.; two sisters, Ilean McDonald of Florala, Ala., and her twin sister, Maude Lewis of Brookhaven; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Lee Busby, who was the owner of Busby's Gifts & Jewelry in Philadelphia for many years.
Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Home.
Warrene Holladay Wells

NEWTON - Services for Warrene Holladay Wells will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Newton County Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Wells, 72, of Jackson, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, where she was cared for by loving ICU nurses. She was a Newton County native, the first child born to Lois Gibbs Holladay and Ellis Holladay. She was a Newton High School and Clarke College graduate. Mrs. Wells also attended The University of Southern Mississippi, where she studied education. She then taught for two years at Hebron Grammar School. Mrs. Wells began her banking career at Newton County Bank. She worked at the Bank of Shubuta, First Columbus National Bank and retired from Trustmark National Bank in 1985. She will be remembered as a "sweet and gentle person who loved working with her customers." She was a First Baptist Church and Hope Sunday School Class member.
Survivors include her husband, Chester Wells of Jackson; a brother, Modrell Holladay; two sisters, Shirley Bufkin and Fonda Holladay; three nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois Gibbs Holladay and Ellis Holladay.
The family requests memorials be made to the Mississippi Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 3550, Jackson, Miss. 39207-3550.

Mrs. Culpepper, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at Benchmark Health Care. She was a retired inspector for a manufacturing company and a member of First Baptist Church of Marion.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet Gillespie, and husband Major Richard Gillespie, of Vicksburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jackie Culpepper, of Meridian; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Wilson, of Meridian; a brother, W. L. Grafton Jr., of Columbus; four grandchildren, David Culpepper and wife Kim, John David Harrison and wife Stephanie, Gina Channel and husband Mike, and Mariah McGuiness; two great grandchildren, Carra and Stephen Channel; several nieces and nephews and special friend Don Waldron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Culpepper.

Mr. Brady, 72, of Meridian, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a pharmacist. A native of Montrose. Mr. Brady was a Mason, a member of the American Legion and the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy. He was a member and former deacon of State Blvd. Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army. He retired from Anderson Pharmacy in January 1992.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Holladay Brady, of Meridian; his daughter, Brenda Jenkins, of Metairie, La; his son, Mike Brady, and wife Suzanne, of Shushan, N.Y.; two sisters, Iva Sumrall, of Hattiesburg, and Vickie Rawls, of Sumrall; and three grandchildren, Brady Jenkins, Meredith Brady and Carlton Brady.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Foster and Elizabeth W. Brady.

Mrs. Addy, 91, of Chunky, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at Laird Hospital. She was a member of Chunky Baptist Church and the Homemakers Club.

Mrs. Richardson, 87, of LaGrange, Ga., formerly of Little Rock, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange. She attended First Baptist Church of LaGrange, but was a member of Big Foot Church of Christ in Big Foot, Texas.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Knight and her husband, Bob, of LaGrange; two grandsons, Joseph Knight of LaGrange and Evan Edmonds and his wife, Lisa, of Meridian; a great-grandson, Zakary Edmonds of Meridian; a brother, William Denson and his wife, Brownie, of Yoakum, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Adams, 72, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, in the home of her daughter in Meridian. She was a native of Brooksville and a resident of Carthage until 1967, when she moved to Meridian and later returned to Carthage in 1990. She and her late husband were the former owners of the City Drug Store in Carthage and Pasquale's Restaurant in Meridian. Since her retirement, she had worked part-time at Lofton's Flowers and Gifts in Carthage. She was a member of the Carthage United Methodist Church, and active in the Women's Church Circle and Bible Study. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Dogwood Trails Garden Club.
Survivors include two daughters, Lou Pennebaker and Lorraine Long and her husband, Ray, all of Meridian; a son, Tom Adams III and his wife, Denise, of Brandon; a brother, Dr. Fred L. McMillan of Jackson; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Adams.

Mr. Ross, 71, of Meridian, died Monday, Oct. 25, 1999, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service, then worked as a salesman for Hometown Building supply, where he retired. Mr. Ross was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church. He will be remembered as a very special and loving husband, father and Pap-paw.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Ross of Meridian; a daughter, Debbie Ross Culpepper and her husband, Wayne, of Collinsville; two grandchildren, Kristen and Daniel Culpepper of Collinsville; a sister, Elizabeth Carroll of DeKalb; two brothers, John Thomas Ross of DeKalb and Frank Ross of Center, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Josh and Geneva Ross, and a brother, Joe Bryant Ross.
