FRED MOORE SR.
Services for Fred Moore Sr. will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Congregation Church of God with the Rev. James Evans officiating. Burial will be in Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Moore, 58, of Meridian, died Friday, April 13, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include his wife, Lessie Moore of Meridian; three daughters, Gwendolyn Moore and Andrae Crockett, both of Meridian, and Gaye Lewis of Melbourne, Fla.; three sons, Richard Moore of Lawton, Okla., Fred Moore Jr. and Eric Moore, both of Meridian; three sisters, Beatrice Ruffin of Birmingham, Ala., Lois Cunningham of Geiger, Ala. and Homer Jean Carpenter of Compton, Calif.; five brothers, T.J. Moore of DeKalb, Russell Moore of New York, Hollie Moore, Jimmie Moore and Lavell Moore, all of Meridian; and 11 grandchildren.

GEORGE H. WILLIAMSON

Services for George H. Williamson will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. George Skelton officiating. Burial will be in forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Williamson, 78, of Meridian, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice. He was retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of service. Mr. Williamson was a member of the Fleet Reserve and Chosenz Few while serving in the Korean War, where he received a purple heart.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys L. Williamson of Meridian; three daughters, Ann L. Wright of Fayetteville, N.C., Elizabeth M. Davis of Savannah, Ga. and Sheila G. Leger of Summerville, S.C.; two sons, George M. Williamson of Crestview, Fla. and Jeff H. Williamson of Meridian; a sister, Delores Shirley of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; a brother, Cecil Williamson of Florence, Ala.; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
Pallbearers will be members of the Fleet Reserve.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

ELIZABETH CAROLINE GIBSON
JACKSON, Tenn. — Graveside services for Elizabeth Caroline Gibson will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Ridgecrest Cemetery. George A. Smith and Sons North Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Infant Gibson, 11-weeks-old, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include her parents, Douglas Lee and Jennie Jones Gibson; a brother, Paul Douglas Gibson; maternal grandparents, Robert and Paula Jones of Forrest City, Ariz.; paternal grandparents, Norman and Rosie Gibson and her paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. J.P. Gibson, all of DeKalb, Miss.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Oneta Gibson.
The family requests memorials be made to First United Methodist Church Nursery Fund, 315 E. Chester St., Jackson, TN 38301.
Visitation will be Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Walter Chester Riley
Graveside services for Walter Chester Riley will be held today at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church Cemetery with Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Riley, 71, of Meridian, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2006, at The Zero House in Meridian. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Methodist Church in the Zero community.
Survivors include a brother, Tommy Riley of Hastings, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Ezra Walter Riley Jr.

Norma Elaine Hinton Talley

PHILADELPHIA — Services for Norma Elaine Hinton Talley will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hayes Chapel with the Rev. Duaine Morgan officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
Mrs. Talley, 82, of Philadelphia, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was a retired co-owner of Talley Finance Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas M. Talley.

Margarene Clegg Hastings

QUITMAN — Graveside services for Margarene Clegg Hastings will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Pine Hill Cemetery with the Revs. Richard Cothern and Carlos Clinton officiating.
Mrs. Hastings, 81, of Quitman, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman. She was a lifelong member of Meridian Seventh Day Adventist Church and a lifelong resident of the Enterprise community. She was a retired office worker from Burlington Industries.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Hastings Stephens of Equality, Ala., and Rebecca Riley Miller of Rose Hill; a step-daughter, Marva Rie Hastings Erwin of Bogue Chitto; and three sisters, Elizabeth Hancock of Meridian, Maurene Hutcherson of Lauderdale, and Carol Seibert of Alberta, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pascal Clegg Sr. and Lillie Mae Cross Clegg.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Wright’s Funeral Home in Quitman.

Nancy C. Guthrie

Services for Nancy C. Guthrie will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Dabbs officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Guthrie, 66, of Meridian, died Sunday, Dec. 31, 2006, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Harold Guthrie of Meridian; children James Edward Ward of Tennessee, Tammy Nutt of Tupelo, and Timmy Ward of Meridian; step-children Michael Evans of Mobile, Ala., Kay Dunnigan of Meridian, L.T. Guthrie of Mobile, and Brandi Hurley of Jacksonville, Fla.; special granddaughters Crystal Gray and Samantha Putt, both of Tupelo, and several other grandchildren; two brothers and a sister.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma, and two children, Retha Murthy and James Anthony Warren.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Warnie Welch
Services for Warnie Welch will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Zion Hill CME Church with the Rev. Tommy Tillman officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery with Enterprise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Welch, 82, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006.
Survivors include five sons, Arthur Gaines of Albany, Ga., Henry Welch of Meridian, James Welch and Calvin Welch, both of Cincinnati, and Warnie Eugene Welch of Houston; five daughters, Patsy Fagan of Pittsburgh, Gladys Reed and Cherry Perkins, both of Milwaukee, Peggy Coleman of Marion, and Catrice Ratcliff of Meridian; 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Welch.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Antonio R. Hudson

Services for Antonio R. Hudson will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Independent Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Enterprise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hudson, 33, of Atlanta, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, in Atlanta. He was a grocery clerk.
He is survived by his parents, Milton and Ethel Ruth Hudson of Meridian; five brothers, Kevin Ray Hudson, Jessie Hudson, Loushawn Hudson and Dashawn Hudson, all of Meridian, and Marcus Hudson of Atlanta; three sisters, Lora Hudson and Latiffa Hudson of Meridian, and Gwen Bolden of Atlanta; paternal grandmother, Louvenia Loper of Meridian; and maternal grandmother, Flora Adams of Meridian.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services for Christobel Gully Collins will be held at a time to be determined at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Jackson with the Revs. Terry Love and Albert McMullan officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Collins, 95, of Monroe, La., died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, in Meridian. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Collins Electric Co. in Monroe. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monroe. She was very active in her church, where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was an avid bridge player, golfer and traveler.
Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews; and a caretaker and friend, Sarah Norwood of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Collins; her parents, Sam Kittrell and Katie Gully; sisters, Jessie Howell, Allene Covington and Edna Wilkinson; brother, Sam Gully; and nephews, Sam Wilkinson, Blake Wilkinson and Britt Covington.
The family requests memorials be made to the Music Fund at First United Methodist Church of Monroe.

Charles Hodges
Graveside services for Charles “Chuck” Hodges will be held today at 11 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, with Rev. Rob Gill officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hodges, 54, of Meridian, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at University Hospital in Jackson. He was employed in sales with Long Wholesale. He was a graduate of Meridian High School, attended MCC, and was a member of Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Gertrude Hodges of Meridian; uncle, Charles Compton and his wife Pam of Meridian; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Hodges.
The family requests memorials be made to Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Compton, Butch Compton, Bryan Compton, Jim Tucker, Joey Robbins and Danny Presley.
Visitation will be today from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
