Bobby Savage
Bobby Savage of Rockpor died Aug. 19, 2003, in Richardson.
He was born June 15, 1934.
Preceded in death by his wife, Anita Savage, he is survived by sons Billy and Roger Stone; daughters Kathy Anderson, Jamie Moreno, Sabrina McCreary, Katrina Truelove and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ms. McCreary lives in Wylie.
Mr. Savage was an active member of AA with 18 years of sobriety and he was a successful master plumber.
Services were at 10 a.m. Aug. 23 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Interment followed at Rose Hill Cemetery in Kaufman.

Thomas Albert Wolf, Jr.
Memorial services for Thomas Albert Wolf, Jr., 60, of Dallas, were held Aug. 22, 2003, at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
Brother Shane Brooks officiated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
Mr. Wolf died Aug. 15 at in Dallas.
He was born Dec. 23, 1942, in Kirksville, Mo. to Donald and Virginia Wolf.
Survivors include his son, Thomas Wolf II of Lowery Crossing; daughters, Jennifer Wolf Hubbard of Wylie and Melissa Ann Wolf Brooks of Lubbock; brother, Earl Edward Wolf of Kirksville, Mo.; sisters, Martha Lea White of Oak Brook, Mo., Patricia Ann Cannell of Hot Springs, Ark. and Vera Ann Elizabeth Lang of Wichita, Kans; and five grandchildren.

Lorrain Stevens
Funeral services for Lorrain Stevens, 56, of Sachse, will be held in Mesa, Ariz. Arrangements were under the direction of Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stevens died Aug. 20, 2003 in Richardson.
She was born Sept. 9, 1946, in Conneaut, Ohio. She worked for her daughter, Sherry Jackson, at A Place to Paint in Sachse.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sherry Jackson and Sam Stevens; three grandchildren; her mother, Alberta Buie; two brothers, Jack Buie and John Buie; and her sister, Linda Marshall.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Frwy., Dallas, TX 75247, 214-819-1200.

Ronnie Dale Gossett
Funeral services for Ronnie Dale Gossett, 58, of Wylie, were held Aug. 23, 2003 at Allen Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jim Hatcher officiating.
Interment followed at the Cottonwood Cemetery under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
Mr. Gossett died Aug. 21 in Dallas.
He was born Oct. 25, 1944, in Rockwall to Horace W. and Ruby (Foster) Gossett.
He worked for Garland Power and Light where he was a systems engineer. He was a member of Cottonwood Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Gossett of Wylie; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Gina Gossett of Wylie; daughter and sons-in-law, Kim and Tommy Gossett Little of Rockwall and Chris Hedgepeth of Midlothian; step-children, Steven and Chasity Perry of Rowlett and Duann and John Bennett of Wylie; sisters, Jo Ann Oehlke of Rosenberg and Barbara Foster of Rowlett; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glendora Gossett, and daughter, Krista Gossett Hedgepeth.

David L. Patterson
Funeral services for David L. Patterson, 73, of Sachse, were held Aug. 23, 2003, at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in Sachse. Interment followed in Restland Memorial Park.
Mr. Patterson died Aug. 20 in Dallas. He was born Dec. 28, 1929, in Farmersville.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vallie Patterson; two sons, Mike Patterson and Mark Patterson; daughter, Sharon Pryor and her husband, Byron; two grandchildren, Brandt and Jeremy; and two sisters, Melba Williams and Doris Pittsinger.

Edith Gracy Smith
Funeral services for Edith Gracy Smith were held Aug. 25, 2003, at Lavon First Assembly of God Church.
Interment followed at the Thompson Cemetery under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
Mrs. Smith died Aug. 22. She was born April 24, 1913. She had been a Lavon resident for 70-plus years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Ray Smith, daughter, Norma Rogers and son, Kenneth Ray Smith.
Survivors include her sisters, Helen Webb, Flora Denman, Sybil Taylor and Jane Gammel; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Larry Gene Price
Graveside services for Larry Gene Price, 61, of Wylie were held Aug. 15, 2003, at Duncan Municipal Cemetery in Duncan, Okla.
Minister Jim Hatcher officiated.
Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
Mr. Price died Aug. 11 in Rockwall.
He was born Nov. 1, 1941, in Sedalia, Mo., to Clarence and Naomi (McMullen) Price. He was a member of the Austin Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Price of Wylie; mother, Naomi Price of Harrah, Okla.; children, Sharon Price of Atlanta, Ga., Phillip Price of Lebanon, Tenn., Julie Carr of Lebanon, Tenn., Jana Hollingsworth of Fort Worth, and Robby Muetzenberg of Wylie; six grandchildren, Phillip Price Jr., Brianna Price, Ethan Carr, Slone Carr, Kaleb Muetzenberg, Robyn Muetzenberg; and church family from the Austin Street Church of Christ of Garland.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Price.

Jerry B. Deen
Jerry B. Deen, 74, of Plano died Aug. 12, 2003.
He was born on July 29, 1929, in Ponca City, Okla., to Elmer and Christine (Rawlings) Deen.
Mr. Deen attended Oklahoma A&M and graduated from Oklahoma City University.
He also served in the United States Air Force.
He married Frances Waller on March 6, 1954, and they raised four children.
Mr. Deen sold farm equipment for nearly 50 years, most recently for Conoly Equipment of Wylie.
He coached youth and church sports teams for many years and was an active member of the Harmonica Organization of Texas and encouraged others to play the harmonica.
He enjoyed painting and was a prolific and enthusiastic artist. He attended Grace Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Cornerstone Sunday School class. He had lived in Plano since 1975.
Survivors include his wife, Fran, and their family: Holly and Dave Alexander of Amarillo, Donna Deen, Michael and Kathleen Deen, and Andy and Polly Deen, all of Plano. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Deen of Shawnee, Kan..
Mr. Deen had five grandchildren, Duncan, Blair and Jacob Alexander of Amarillo, and Sterling and Emma Maxon of Plano.
A memorial service was held Aug. 16 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 4300 W. Park in Plano.

Ethel Ray Bronson
Funeral services for Ethel Ray Bronson, 94, of Wylie, were held Aug. 18, 2003, at the First Baptist Church of Wylie.
Interment followed in the Wylie Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
Dr. A.L. Draper officiated.
Mrs. Bronson died Aug. 15 at her home.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wylie.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Johnie Ray and Elizabeth “Betty” King and Robert A. and Martha Ann King, all of Wylie; daughters and sons-in-law, Jo Ann and Dickie Dixon of McKinney and Betty M. and John Hickman of Wylie; daughter-in-law, Margaret “Peggy” Bronson of McKinney, 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, William Pinkney Ray and Maggie Mae (Scott) Ray; husbands, John L. King and William S. Bronson; sons, Bill Bronson, Jr. and James Donald King; and grandson, Tommy King..

Lula Faye Rosser
Funeral services for Lula Faye Rosser, of Garland, were held Aug. 9, 2003, at the First Baptist Church of Sachse.
Interment followed in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas.
Arrangements were under the direction of Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home of Sachse.
The Rev. Billy Harris officiated.
Mrs. Rosser died Aug. 5 in Picayune, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.V. Rosser; son, Larry David Rosser; brothers, R.T. Miller and H. R. Miller, and sister, Adelle Story.
Survivors include her son, Randy Rosser of Wylie; daughters, Brenda Loveless of Carriae, Miss., Becky Puckett of Sachse and Kristi Blackshear, of Sachse; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Royce Miller and Jack Miller; sister, Madene Darnell; and many nieces and nephews.

Ronald Steven Gray
Funeral services for Ronald Steven Gray, 48, of Wylie, were held Aug. 9, 2003, at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Wylie.
Interment followed in the Wylie Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home of Wylie.
The Rev. Todd Nivens officiated.
Mr. Gray died Aug. 6.
He was born Jan. 12, 1955, in Bremerton, Wash. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert A. Gray.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; sons, Stephen and Cameron; mother, Ernestine Gray; sister, Janell Gray; grandmother, Maybell Gray; grandson, Nathan Gray; aunts; uncles; cousins and many friends.
“Ron could always make people smile and he touched so many lives. He will be greatly missed,” his family said.

Mattie Margaret Hatfield
Funeral services for Mattie Margaret Hatfield, 75, of Wylie, were held July 29, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Wylie.
Dr. A.L. Draper officiated.
Mrs. Hatfield died July 25 at her residence in Wylie.
She was born Feb. 17, 1928 in Bennett, Ark. to John Henry and Sara Lynette (Fugate) Hamlett. She was married to John R. Hatfield on Dec. 31, 1946 in Morley, Mo. Mrs. Hatfield was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wylie.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John Hatfield of Wylie; daughters, Johnanna Hatfield Rowland of Milton, Fla. and Jackie Elmore of Plano; mother, Sarah L. Hamlett of Selma, Ala.; sisters, Flora Jean Tyler of Selma, Ala. and Beverly Madonia of Mechanicsville, Va.; brother, Derald Edward Hamlett of Plano, and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, John H.Hamlett; daughter, Carol Lynn Strange; two sisters, Virginia Lee Finney and Dororthy Hines; and two brothers, John Henry Hamlett and Donald Ross Hamlett.

Danny Dee Peel
Graveside services for Danny Dee Peel, 57, of Princeton, were held Aug. 4, 2003, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
Mr. Peel died Aug. 1 in Plano.
He was born March 20, 1946 in Bridgeport to Jessie Andrew and Bonnie Bell (Bonds) Peel. He was a veteran, having served with the United States Army in the Vietnam War. He worked for Eagle Airlines as a welder.
Survivors include his sons, Harvey Peel of Princeton and Jessie Peel of Garland; daughter, Rebbeca Marie Gaudreau of Garland; two sisters, Margarette Thompson of Burlison and Addie Olivo of Terrell, and seven grandchildren.

Paul Leon Campbell
Funeral services for Paul Leon Campbell, 88, were held July 30, 2003, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Wylie. Interment followed in the Wylie Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
The Revs. Todd Nivens and Edie Garner officiated.
Mr. Campbell died July 28 in Garland.
He was born June 10, 1915 in Greenville to Arvil and Hester Campbell. He lived most of his life in the Wylie area where he was a farmer and a cafe owner/operator with his wife, Edna.
Mr. Campbell was married to Mary Edna Woodard on March 1, 1936 and they were married for fifty years until her death. They had three children, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Later in life he married Nannie Dell Deen and then Martha Hightower, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary Ruth; and four brothers, J.C., Earl, Ed and Audie.
Survivors include his sisters, Edna Henderson of Wylie and Ina Mae Maynard of Garland; son, Paul Wayne Campbell and wife, Peggy of Marshall, and daughter, Shirley Campbell Garner and husband, Eddie of Princeton. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren are Lance Campbell, wife Kobi and children, Brittany, Grace and Nate of Iraan; Lauri White, husband Sammy and daughter, Chloe of Marshall; Brian Garner, wife Christy and children, Hailey and Cole of Princeton; Paul Garner and daughter, Mayson of Princeton, and James Garner of Whitesboro.

Patrick Michel Cummins
Memorial services for Patrick Michel Cummins, 55, of Wylie, will be held today, Aug. 6, 2003, at the Allen Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
Father Loyd Morris will officiate.
Mr. Cummins died Aug. 1 in Dallas
He was born June 21, 1948 in Dinube, Calif. to Stanley Earl and Nicole Denise Renee (Boutard) Cummins. He worked for Raytheon where he was an electronic technician, and he was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was married to Patricia Lynn Cheshier on July 3, 1987 in Wylie.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Cummins of Wylie; son, Troy M. Cummins of Fort Wayne, Ind.; two daughters, Nicole R. Cummins and Katie J. Cummins , both of Fort Wayne, Ind.; mother, Nicole D.R. Cummins; brother, William R. Cummins and sister, Catherine L. Cummins, all of Fort Wayne, Ind.
