Funeral services for Justin Andrew Mardis, an infant, of Richardson, were held Aug. 15, 2004, at the Cottonwood Church of Christ.
Interment
followed at the Big A Cemetery in Rowlett.
Justin was born at 7:02 a.m., Aug. 12, 2004, to Amber Sallings and James Mardis.
Survivors include his parents, Amber Sallings and James Mardis of Richardson; brothers, Jonathan and Jayson of Richardson; grandparents, Jackie Smith of Garland, Howard and Beverly Mardis of Garland, Robin Sallings of Mesquite and Lonnie Sallings of Mesquite; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, great-grandparents and friends.
According to family members, “Justin will be loved and missed very much by all.”

Addison Blake Caldwell
Funeral services for Addison Blake Caldwell, 12, of Wylie will be held at 3 p.m. today, Aug. 18 at the First Baptist Church of Farmersville.
Blake died Aug. 15, 2004, in a motorbike accident.
He was the son of Tony and Julie Caldwell White and a seventh grade student at Burnett Junior High School in Wylie.
David Neil Hosking
Graveside services for David Neil Hosking, 39, of Wills Point, will be held in Pennsylvania.
Mr. Hosking died Aug. 9, 2004.
He was born Sept. 25, 1964, in Hibbing, Minn., to Paul Thomas and Shirley Ann (Bishop) Hosking.
He worked at Impression Graphics in Mesquite for the past 17 years and attended First Christian Church. He was an avid bass fisherman. According to family members, “he will be remembered as a loving father, son and brother, and will be missed by all who knew him.”
Survivors include his son, Jacob Wayne Hosking of Wylie; parents of Saylorsburg, Penn.; brothers, Paul James Hosking and his wife, Irene, of Nazareth, Penn., and Tim Hosking of Garland; and sister, Dawn Hardesty and her husband, Mark, of Elkins, W.V.

Jerry Wayne Emanuel, Jr.
Funeral services for Jerry Wayne Emanuel, Jr., 37, of Nevada, were held Aug. 14, 2004 at First Baptist Church in Josephine.
Interment
followed at the Nevada Cemetery.
The Rev. Randy Hargrove officiated.
Mr. Emanuel died Aug. 11, in Dallas.
He was born Dec. 11, 1966, in Los Angeles, Calif. to Jerry Wayne Emanuel, Sr. and Sylvia (Royce) Emanuel.
Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Emanuel of Mesquite; mother and step-father, Sylvia and Jerry Singleton; father, Jerry Wayne Emanuel, Sr. of Michigan; sister and brother-in-law, Sheryl and Ray Carson of Lone Oak; brothers, Terry Emanuel of Cumby, Kevin Singleton of Dallas, Kyle Singleton of Carrollton, Shane Singleton, Chad Singleton and Chris Singleton, all of Nevada; grandmother, Faye Singleton of Carrollton, and great-grandmother, Pearl Crawford of Mesquite.

Vivian Ann Boyd
Graveside services for Vivian Ann Boyd, 58, of Hempstead, were held Aug. 5, 2004 at the Wylie Cemetery.
Dr. Dan Rainey officiated.
Ms. Boyd died Aug. 2 at Bellville General Hospital in Bellville.
She was born Aug. 28, 1945 in Dallas to Robert Allen and Delphine Locke Boyd.
Survivors include her aunt, Lou Killian; cousin, Shirley Chandler; and special caregivers, Pauline Killian and Michelle Seaton.
Arrangements were under the direction of McWilliams Funeral Home in Hempstead.
Loren L. Laun
A memorial service for Loren L. Laun, 61, of Sachse, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Aug. 11, 2004, at the First United Methodist Church of Sachse, 1520 Blackburn Rd.
The Rev. Marsha Middleton will officiate.
Mr. Laun died Aug. 8 at his home after a two and one half year battle with lymphoma. He graduated from Western, Neb., High School in 1961 and Milford Tech School in 1963. He was employed with IBM for 30 years and owned and operated The Credit Bureau of Hastings before moving to Sachse in 2002.
At the time of his death, he owned and operated Ballard Street Car Wash in Wylie. He was a collector and restorer of antique John Deere tractors and a member of the Wylie Antique Machinery Society. According to family members, “spending time with his family and giving tractor rides to his grandchildren and neighborhood children always brought a smile to his face.”
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Laun of Sachse; his daughter and her husband, Jill and Mark Coltharp of Murphy; his son and his wife, Michael and Jennifer Laun of Rockwall; his grandchildren, Tyler, Connor and Lauren Coltharp, and Tenley Rose Laun, whose birth on Aug. 7 he was courageously awaiting; his mother, Rose Laun of Tobias, Neb.; and his brother, Gale Laun of Lincoln, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Laun, and a brother, Leslie Laun.
Memorials to the family will be distributed to his favorite charities.
Nadine Eugenia Thomasson
Funeral services for Nadine Eugenia Thomasson, 77, of Wylie, were held July 29, 2004 at Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Wylie.
The Rev. Larry Davis officiated.
Mrs. Thomasson died July 27 in Garland.
She was born June 24, 1927 in Abilene to Doc Cash and Geneva Ruth (Dobbs) Withrow. She married Larence L. Thomasson on Jan. 1, 1942 in Abilene. She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Wylie.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Larry Joe and Debra Ann Thomasson of Wylie; daughter and son-in-law, Judy Faedean and Gilbert Watts of Garland; sister, Sophia Treser of Bellville, Ill.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doc Cash and Geneva Ruth Withrow, and her husband, Larence L. Thomasson.

Joseph W. Kirk
Funeral services for Joseph W. Kirk, 64, of Brownsville, Tenn., were held July 31, 2004 at Brownsville Funeral Home in Brownsville, Tenn. Interment
followed in Allen Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Kirk died July 28 at his home.
He was a retired service manager for Goodyear, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Allen Baptist Church.

Christallen Angela Parks Garoutte
A memorial service for Christallen Angela Parks Garoutte, 40, was held Aug. 2, 2004 at the Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church. She had donated her remains to the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School.
Mrs. Garoutte died July 27, after suffering a coronary at home. She was a diabetic for 26 years and had received a kidney transplant last May.
She was born July 13, 1964, in Dallas to Chris and Allen Parks. She graduated from North Garland High School in 1982.
She was an orthodontic technician, had taught at Baylor Dental College for three and one half years and dentistry at night at Allen High School and assisted at the Handicap Olympics.
She was a singer with the Ramblin’ Fever Band for 13 years, with the Texas Legend Band for 14 years and was currently with a ladies gospel group, Crimson. She had been named 1996 Female Country Western Vocalist of the Year by Terry Awards. At the Democratic Convention 2000 in Dallas, she was a featured entertainer, and sang at a Democratic Party dinner later at Southfork Ranch.
Survivors include her husband, James Michael Garoutte of Allen; step-children, Jason Garoutte of Allen and Ashlyn Garoutte of Rockwall; mother, Chris Parks of Allen; father and stepmother, Allen and Sandy Parks of Dallas; step-brothers and step-sisters, Kimberly Miller, Michelle Kindro, Mark Clark and Matthew Clark; aunts and uncles, Lynne and Joe Saputo, Nancy and Terry Drury and Bill and Ruth Francisco; cousins, Paul Brandon, Stephani Hammons and Kim Francisco; and many other relatives and friends.
James Wesley Wrisner
Funeral services for James Wesley Wrisner, 41, of Sulphur Springs were held July 11, 2004, at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel in Sulphur Springs. Interment
followed at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Gordon Frazier officiated.
Pallbearers were Robert Perry, Rick Landers, V.J. Buckland, Kerry Carson, Bo Romans and Craig Vaughn.
Mr. Wrisner died at his home July 7.
He was born Aug. 19, 1962, in Greenville to Bobbie Jean Crowell with her parents, Buddy and Janie Crowell, at her side. He was employed at the Sulphur Springs Waste Water Treatment Plant.
According to his family, he said “the job was the most fun of his life and his co-workers were great.” He was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Wrisner, of Sulphur Springs; two sons, Kasey and Kaylon, both of Sulphur Springs; parents, Kenneth and Bobbie Lewis of Commerce, and Charles and Patsy Wrisner of Sulphur Springs; brother, Constable Anthony Lewis of Commerce; sister, Shannon Benton and husband, Jason, of Caddo Mills; Grandma Duncan of Wylie; aunts, Sharon Sneed of Commerce, Sue Brown and husband, Larry, of Hondo, Joyce Parker and husband, Jerry, of Wylie, Debbie White of Garland, Cherry Lynn Anderson and Alisa Benson, both of Greenville; nieces Kashion Lewis of Mesquite and Kelli Benton of Caddo Mills; nephew, Easton Benton of Plano; cousins, Brenda Sneed and Kim Sneed, both of Commerce, Suzanne McCarty of San Antonio, Cheryl Goodson of Garland, and Stacy Easley of Wylie; and great uncles, Hurbert Crowell of Wolfe City, and James Coz of Greenville.

James Stallworth, Jr.
Memorial services for James Stallworth, Jr., 45, of Grapevine, were held July 19, 2004 at Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Wylie.

Mr. Stallworth died July 15 in Grapevine.
He was born Dec. 4, 1958 in El Paso to James and Catalina (Arambula) Stallworth. He was a member of the Covenant Church in Dallas.
Survivors include his father, James Stallworth, Sr.; son, James Stallworth, III; daughters, Natalie Stallworth-Schneckloth, Crystal Stallworth and Tiffany Tapia; sister, Jane Danner, Yvonne Pacheco, Martha Arambula and Liz Stallworth; three granddaughters, Madalene, Cassidre and Carrie Schneckloth; four nieces, Lauren and Vanessa Stallworth and Dorothy and Amanda Arambula; three nephews, Chris and Charlie Pacheco and Isaac J. Stallworth.

Marie B. Berrier
Funeral services for Marie B. Berrier, 82, were held July 19, 2004 at Restland Memorial Chapel in Dallas. Interment
followed at Restland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Berrier died July 15 in Greenville.
She was born Feb. 9, 1922 in London, England. She served in the British Army during World War II as an aerial spotter of Nazi bombers.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Vivian and Reed Butscher and Barbara and Tom Newton; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Berrier and Suzanne Martinez and John and Terry Berrier; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
According to members of the family, “at age 82, she was learning computer operations and Spanish. She was a creative lady who loved to paint, a garage sale diva who could smell out a bargain and a card shark who taught her grandchildren how to play and learn their numbers.”
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, I. J. Berrier; son, Ernie Berrier; and seven brothers.

Thelma Christine Smith

Ms. Smith died July 2 in Dallas.
She was born Aug 6, 1921, in Denton County to Frank and Lena Mae (Hill) Testerman. She was retired from Texas Instruments.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy F. Stedman of Garland; brothers, Frances Testerman of Denton and Weldon Testerman of Irving; sisters, Mozelle Dooley of Fort Worth, Merle Forellie of Denton and Ann Douzat of Marksville; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Bonnie Jean Allen
Bonnie Jean Allen, 70, of Lavon, died July 5, 2004, in Dallas.
She was born June 12, 1934, in Powell, Tenn., to Anda and Arrowja V. (Brock) McKinney. She was a member of the Bibb Methodist Church of Morristown.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Moungey of St. George, Utah; five sons, Gary Moungey of Interlachen, Fla., William Moungey of Jefferson City, Tenn., Steve Moungey of Jonesboro, Ark., Claude Moungey of Lavon, and Richards Moungey of Harrison, Va.; sister, Dorothy Moyer of Prince George, Va.; 30 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Mary Catherine Housewright

Mrs. Housewright died July 10 in Farmersville.
She was born June 11, 1919, in Murphy to Leonard V. and Judith (Brigham) Moulden. She married J.R. Housewright on Oct. 20, 1940, in Murphy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wylie.
Survivors include her husband, J.R. Housewright of Wylie; sons and daughter-in-law, John and Linda Housewright of Bells and James Housewright of Wylie; grandchildren, Jeanna and her husband Chris Melton and John M. Housewright, both of Wylie; great grandchildren, Chase Erickson and Kaleb Melton, both of Wylie.
