Mary Lou Kilton
LaVISTA, Neb. - Mary Lou Kilton, 72, died June 29 at LaVista, Neb.
Born June 6, 1934 in Tower City, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Margaret Thompson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Marie, two brothers, Lamar and Roy Thompson and two sisters, Marlene Thompson and Thelma Osag.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Kilton; three sons, Michael Kilton Jr., Edward Kilton and Timothy Kilton; three brothers, Robert Thompson, Clyde Thompson and Harold Thompson; and five grand-children.
Services were held July 3 at Columbkille Catholic Church in Papillion, Neb. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha, Neb.
M. Arlene Kerstetter
HALIFAX - M. Arlene Kerstetter, 73, of 79-A Matamoras Road, died July 8 at the Manor at Susquehanna Village in Millersburg.
Born May 28, 1933 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Mary Shoop Liddick.
She was a 1951 graduate of Millersburg High School.
She was a retired bookkeeper for C.F. Acri, Inc. in Harrisburg.
She was affiliated with Jacob's United Methodist Church in Halifax.
She was the widow of Leroy J. Kerstetter.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Danner of Halifax; a brother, David Liddick of Rock Hill, S.C.; a sister, Dora Liddick of Millersburg; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held July 13 at Hoover Funeral Homes in Millersburg. Burial was at Long's Cemetery in Halifax.

Emil Matzco
LANCASTER - Emil Matzco, 82, died July 10 at Moravian Manor.
Born in Lykens, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna Ivanko Matzco.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II.
He was the owner and operator of Emil Matzco Barber Shop in Lancaster and had worked for the Landisville Elementary School.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Lancaster where he served as an usher. He also was a member of the former Wheatland Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Delphine V. Doyle Matzco and a sister, Emma Mazisko of Hamilton Square, N.J.
Services were held July 13 at his church. Burial was at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes and Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Mae L. Deppen
MILLERSBURG - Mae L. Deppen, 82, a resident at the Manor at Susquehanna Village, formerly of 519 Berrysburg Road, died July 11 at Community General Osteo-pathic Hospital in Harrisburg.
Born July 30, 1923 in Lower Mahanoy Twp., she was the daughter of the late Marlin and Clara Schlegel Lenker.
She was retired from the former Muskin Shoe Factory in Millersburg.
She was a member of David's Church in Killinger and a its Sunshine class.
She was the widow of Elwood S. Deppen. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest and a sister, Ruby Reed.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Leech of Millersburg and Cathy Hoffman of Halifax; three sisters, Orpha Rothermel and Judy Illig, both of Millersburg and Reba Troutman of Halifax; four brothers, Boyd Lenker and Donald Lenker, both of Millersburg, Eugene Lenker of Halifax and Steven Lenker of Harrisburg; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Services were held July 14 at David's Church. Burial was at David's Church Cemetery.

William R. Yeagley, Jr.
ANNVILLE - William R. Yeagley, Jr., 62, of 1524 N. State Route 934, died July 12 at his home.
Born July 21, 1943 in Cornwall, he was the son of Caroline Koch Yeagley of Lickdale and the late Richard Yeagley, Sr.
He was a horse trainer at Penn National Race Track in Grantville.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brianne Carl.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife Michele Manno Yeagley; two sons, Rick of Good Spring and Wayne of Tower City; two daughters, LeeAnne Krupka of Mass. and Janet Wiscount of Tower City; a step-daughter, Martie Manno of Lebanon; four sisters; two brothers; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 15 from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home in Tower City. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Tower City.
David W. Ferree
LYKENS - David W. Ferree, 46, died July 15 at M.S. Hershey Medical Center..
He was the son of Dawn O. Ferree of Wiconisco and the late Clarence D. Ferree.
He was formerly employed by Railtrack Inc. and currently employed by Metal Industries.
He was a member of Wiconisco Fire Co., a social member of Liberty Hose Co. No. 2, American Legion Post No. 124 and Gratz VFW Post No. 2385.
He was preceded in death by a companion, Bonnie L. Batz.
Surviving in addition to his mother is a son, Benjamin L. Ferree of Lykens; a stepson, Kenneth P. Batz of Philadelphia; and a brother, Larry Alvord of Lykens Twp.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the John R. Shultz Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
Clyde C. Adams
DORNSIFE RR - Clyde C. Adams, 87, died July 11 at ManorCare Health Services in Sunbury.
Born Sept. 25, 1918 in Dornsife RR, he was the son of the late Charles F. and Clara Minerva Bordner Adams.
He was a 1937 graduate of Trevorton High School.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II.
He worked as a coal miner and in a gas station and was a machinist for the Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Company in Baltimore, Md. He later was employed as a school teacher in Leck Kill and was the elementary principal for the former Mahanoy Joint School District and current Line Mountain School District.
He was a member of Himmel's United Church of Christ in Rebuck.
He also was a member of the Mahanoy Lodge No. 551 IOOF of Dornsife where he served as a past Nobel Grand and recording secretary, the Idella Rebekah Lodge No. 58 of Dornsife, Herndon Lodge No. 702 F&AM, a life member of the Upper Dauphin Shrine Club, a member of the Zembo Shrine of Harrisburg, the American Legion Post No. 92 of Trevorton, the former Greenbriar Grange No. 1148 where he served as treasurer, the local Retired Teachers Association, the National Education Association and a life member of the

Jean L. Dressler-Tumas
SHIREMANSTOWN - Jean L. Dressler-Tumas, 85, of 417 E. Green St., formerly of Millersburg, died July 13 at the Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill.
Born Feb. 23, 1921 in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Norman W. and Golda M. Wetzel Messersmith.
She was a retired mechanic for the New Cumberland Army Depot in Mechanicsburg.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Millersburg and the Millersburg Moose No. 59.
She was the widow of Frank L. Dressler. She also was preceded in death by a son, Delmer W. Still and a grandson.
Surviving are her husband, Walter J. Tumas; three sons, Keith E. Messersmith of Ashland, William E. Dressler of McAllisterville and Colin K. Still of Leesport; a brother, Norman W. Messersmith Jr. of Millersburg; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held July 18 at Hoover Funeral Homes in Millersburg. Burial was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg.
