A homemaker, Helen previously worked as a sewing machine operator for the former William H. Noggle and Sons Manufacturing Company of Manheim.
Helen attended Manheim Church of God.
Helen enjoyed pets, gardening, reading and watching television ministry programs.
Born in Mount Joy, Helen was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Mary H. Flowers Shultz.
Her husband, Otto Blechinger, died in 1985.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald E., married to Christine F. Hammon Blechinger, and Gerald Lee, both of Manheim; and a daughter, Debra H., married to Jeffrey A. Garner of Manheim.
Helen was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard, Curvin and Richard Shultz; and a sister, Rhoda Sipe.

Ralph J. Bowman, 55, of 6141 Lemon Street, East Petersburg, died of natural causes Wednesday, July 11, 2001 at his home.
Ralph worked 19 years in the housekeeping department at Lancaster General Hospital.
An outdoorsman, Ralph enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.
Born in Lancaster, Ralph was the son of Josephine Bair Bowman Detwiler and Melvin Detwiler of Lititz.
Ralph was married 31 years to Evon M. "Bonnie" Shenk Bowman.
Surviving in addition to his wife, mother and stepfather are a son, Ralph J. Jr. at home; and three brothers, David, married to Joanne Bowman of East Petersburg, Ray, married to Marlene Bowman of New Providence and Phillip Schoenberger of Willow Grove.

Helen C. Echternach, 74, of 900 East King Street, formerly of 135 South Shenk Avenue, Strasburg, died of natural causes Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at Conestoga View.
Helen worked as a telephone operator and supervisor for Bell of Pennsylvania in Lancaster and Wilkes-Barre.
Helen also worked as a credit investigator for the former Watt & Shand store, the Credit Bureau of Lancaster, and the former Devine's Restaurant in Strasburg.
Mrs. Echternach belonged to First Presbyterian Church of Strasburg, where she was a member of the women's circle, the church choir, and the Presbyterian Women.
Helen was a member of the Paul R. Strubel Post 8710 Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Strasburg, Bell Telephone Pioneers and Lancaster General Hospital Auxiliary. She also was a member and past president of the Strasburg Sportsman's Association Auxiliary.
Born in White Haven, Helen was the daughter of the late George S. and Dora Reynolds Clymer.
Her husband, Frank S. Kelly Echternach, died in 1998.
Surviving are two daughter, Rebecca L. Price of Billingham, Washington; Linda L. married to Frank Waters of Lindale, Texas; two sons, Harry F., married to Mary Beth Garbrick Echternach of Ronks, F. Steven Jr., married to Miriam B. Bawell Echternach of Strasburg; a brother, Robert, married to Fay Clymer of Havre de Grace, Maryland; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by a sister, Jean DeLong.

GEIB, CHARLES W., 68, ran trucking firm
Charles W. Geib, 68, of 683 Bedington Circle, Manheim, died Sunday afternoon, July 15, 2001 at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness.
Charles was the general manager for Geib and Sons Trucking in Manheim. He previously was a purchasing agent for the former Permutit Company.
In the late 1950's, Charles was a member of the first volunteer special police squad for Manheim Borough. He later became a paid police officer for both Manheim Borough and Penn Township.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Charles served during the Korean War.
A former captain of the Manheim Fire Police, Charles was a member of Hope Fire Engine and Hose Company No. 1 in Manheim.
Charles was Lutheran..
An outdoorsman, Charles enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.
Charles was a 1950 graduate of Manheim Central High School.
Born in Colebrook, Charles was the son of the late Paul E. and Mary I. Greiner Geib.
Charles was married 46 years in May to Pauline Hopper Geib.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Charles W. II married to Diane Xakellis Geib of Manheim, Ray, married to Beverly J. Paine Geib of Lititz, and J. Kenneth, married to Cindy L. Wolf Geib of Manheim Township; and a daughter, Nancy J. married to Ricky L. Brosey of Manheim.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren; three brothers, G. Richard, married to Doris Geib, Ken married to Gerry Geib, and Jere L., all of Manheim; and two sisters, Katharine "Kit" Ditzler and Christine L. Brady, both of Manheim.
Charles was preceded in deth by a son, Andrew Paul, and a sister, Barbara Sides.

Mae Rebecca Hahn Gibble, 98, of 1128 Mount Joy Road, Sporting Hill, died of natural causes Thursday, July 5, 2001 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center.
Mae worked for Cope's Corn, Rheems, and the former American Seed Company, Lancaster. Previously, Mae worked for the former Noggles Garment Factory, Manheim retiring in 1960.
Mae was a member of Erisman Mennonite Church, Manheim.
Born in Rapho Township, Mae was the daughter of the late Fred Hill and Minnie Rhoads Hahn.
Her husband, Walter Heisey Gibble, died in 1959.
Surviving is a daughter, Lois M. Gibble, with whom she lived.
Mae was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Fred, Clarence and John Hahn; and a sister, Anna Hahn Scheing.

He served in the U.S. Army.
An avid outdoorsman, William enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Born in Martinsville, Virginia, William was the son of the late William H. and Martha Shumake Gravely.
William was married to Nora B. Grubb Gravely, who died in 1990.

A homemaker, Mrs. Hart was a member of Gingrichs Mennonite Church, Lebanon, where she belonged to the sewing circle and was once a junior high Sunday school teacher.
Elizabeth and her husband organized Elm Street Mennonite Church, Lebanon, in 1995. She was active with the Lancaster County chapter of Multiple Scherosis Society.
Elizabeth enjoyed sewing.
Born in Kinzers, she was the daughter of the late Willis W. and Margaret Wenger Kreider.
Her husband, Jacob H. Hart, died in 1961.
Surviving are three daughters, Eileen M., married to John G. Landis of Lebanon, Virginia F., married to John R. Saner of Mifflin, and Carlene A., maried to Paul Althouse of New Providence; a son, Dervin C., married to Charlene Esch Hart of Manheim; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Margaret Denlinger; Kathryn, married to Frank Hershey of Lititz, and Arlene, married to Chester Sensenig of Intercourse.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by a daughter, Lois K. Hart; four brothers, Wilmer, Lloyd, Leroy and Lester Kreider; and one great-grandson.

Oscar B. Hendrix Jr., 73, formerly of 1057 Mount Joy Road, Manheim, died Monday, July 30, 2001 at Pleasant View Retirement Community in Manheim after a long illness.
Oscar worked 40 years as a foundryman for Fuller Company in Manheim retiring in 1990.
Oscar was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #5956 and Ammon K. Gibble American Legion Post 419, all of Manheim.
An avid hunter, Oscar belonged to Sleepy Hollow Camp, Potter County. A sportsman, Oscar was a former coach for American Legion and Little League baseball and a bowler in the Lititz and Manheim leagues. He also enjoyed Civil War history.
A U.S. Army veteran, Oscar served during World War II.
Born in Mount Joy, Oscar was the son of the late Oscar B. Sr. and Mamie Gochenaur Hendrix.
His wife, Betty A. Mellinger Hendrix, died January 21.
Surviving are a son, Michael S. married to Heidi K. Smith Hendrix of East Petersburg; two grandsons; a brother, Charles married to Eva Hendrix of Mount Joy; and a sister, Betty Hendrix of York.

Ella sold produce to local markets and door-to-door. She also volunteered at the Landis Home grocery story, the Mennonite Home thrift shop and Eastern Mennonite Missions.
Ella was a member of her church's sewing circle and enjoyed flowers and gardening.
Born in East Petersburg, Ella was the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna Kreider Good.
Her Husband, Mervin M. Hess, died in 1994.
Surviving are a daughter, Erma H., married to George R. Brunk III of Harrisonburg, Va.; four sons, Mervin G., married to Reba Nissley Hess of East Petersburg, J. Daniel, married to Joy Glick Hess of Indianapolis, J. Harold, married to Christine Schumacher Hess of Cincinnati, and Kenneth E., married to Heather Howett Hess of Lancaster; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

HUBER, AMOS, was retired from Raymark
Amos B. Huber, 84, of 967 Fruitville Pike, Lititz, died Saturday afternoon, July 7, 2001 at Landis Homes Retirement Community, Lititz, following a brief illness.
Amos was the husband of Edna Weidman Huber, who died March 12, 1996.
Amos worked 42 years for Raymark Industries, Manheim, before retiring in 1978. After retiring, Amos worked part-time for more than five years at the former Fenner Belting, now Fenner Drives, Manheim.
Amos was a member of Gospel Lighthouse Revival Center, Lititz, and the Raymark Industries 25-Year Club.
An avid reader, Amos supported missionary work with children in Haiti and enoyed lawn care.
Born in Millway, Amos was the son of the late Amos H. and Alice Burkholder Huber.
Surviving are a son, Melvin W., husband of Carol Willis Huber, Pikeville, Ky., a daughter, Renee F., wife of David M. Kreider, Lancaster, eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elam, husband of Caroline Huber, Manheim; and Alvin, husband of Shirley Huber, Hummelstown; and three sisters, Anna Ravegum, Brownstown; Alice Ebersole, Colquitt, Ga.; and Eva Tate, Altamonte Springs, Fla.
In addition to his wife and parents, Amos was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna F. Rhoads, and a brother, Melvin Huber.

Audrey is survived by two sons, Elmer J. married to Kathryn Kasuba Jones of Scranton and William A. married to Louise Robinson Jones of Bloomsburg, and a daughter, Helen J. married to Thomas S. Rawson of Manheim; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
