Born in Lititz, PA., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Margie Loose Behmer.
Delores worked for 20 years for J. C. Penny Store located in the Park City Mall.
She was the wife of the late Daniel C. Breitigan who died in 1996.
Her interests included fishing.
Surviving are a son, Jeffrey D. married to Tracey Freeman Breitigan of Mechanicsburg, PA., a daughter, Virginia A. Barbarito of York, PA., a step son, Daniel L. married to Nancy Mastros Breitigan of Manheim, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two step grandchildren, three step great grandchildren.

CAPLINGER, WANDA, 55, LANCASTER
Wanda Caplinger, 55, of 1252 Ironbridge Road Columbia, PA died Friday afternoon at Essa Flory Hospice Center, Lancaster following a brief illness. Born in Lancaster she was the daughter of the late James G. Waller and the late Dorothy M. Kahler Waller Stauffer.
For the past 12 years Wanda worked as a custodian for the Hempfield School District working up until her recent illness; previously she worked for the former RCA Corporation, Lancaster.
She loved taking care of animals of all types and was well known in her area for helping to care for hurt and abandoned animals. An avid reader she also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Iceland.
Surviving are a daughter, Tina M. McCaulley with whom she resided with and a son, James C. married to Jennifer J. Weaver Caplinger of Columbia, four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister Carol Ann Richards.

Edwin W. Eby, 80, of 52 Maple Ave. Gretna Springs, Manheim, and formerly of R D 8 Manheim, died Friday afternoon at the Mount Hope Church Home, Manheim, after a brief illness.
Born in Hagerstown, Maryland he was the son of the late Noah R. and Catherine Martin Eby.
Edwin was the husband of Eva Z. Martin Eby and they observed their 60th wedding anniversary in November of last year.
He was the owner of Mount Hope Mobil Homes, Manheim, until 1976, previously he was employed in door to door sales, he owned and operated a farm in Mastersonville, and also was the owner and operator of Hammer Mills in Talmage, Lancaster County, he first operated his own farm in Hagerstown Maryland.
He was a member of Manheim Mennonite Church, he volunteered with Mennonite Disaster Relief.
Edwin served as a lay pastor in a Mennonite Church in the Miami Florida area for three years, he also volunteered to help run the International Guest House, in Florida for 5 years which was affiliated with the Mennonite Church.
His interests included, hunting, fishing and wood working.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Jay Leonard married to Sally Esh Eby of Lancaster, two foster daughters, Pauline W. married to Harold Esh of Sun City Arizona, and Wilma M. Simmoneau of Denison, Texas, 13 foster
grandchildren, 29 foster great grandchildren, 2 great great foster grandchildren, one brother, Omar married to Anna Kathryn Eby of Harrisonburg, Virginia, two sisters, Lydia married to Ivan Diller and Ada married to Amos Showalter both of Hagerstown, Maryland.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Eby.

FRICK JR., CHARLES W., 68, MANHEIM
Charles W. Frick Jr., 68 , formerly of 37 Railroad Avenue, Manheim, PA, died Tuesday afternoon June 10, 2003 at the Mount Hope Church Home, Manheim of natural causes.
Born in Allentown, PA, he his the son of the late Charles W. Sr. and Marion Hertzog Frick.
He was married to Anna Pichler Frick, she died in March, 1995.
He was employed as a custodian for 25 years at the former Raymark Industries, Manheim, PA, retiring in 1992.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a Life time member of the Elstonville Sportsman's Association.
His interest included fishing and hunting.
Surviving are one step- son: Bud Ross of Atlantic City, N.J.; three step- daughters: Vicki L. Funk of Manheim, Kathy M. Ross of Manheim, Louisa A. Funk of Ocean City, M.D.; three step-grandchildren, seven step-great grandchildren, and one brother: William Leafrick.

GORDON, STELLA H., 90, HOMEMAKER
Stella H. Gordon, 90, of 23 East Ferdinand St. Manheim, and formerly of Mount Hope, PA., died Monday morning at Lancaster Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born in Taylorsville, North Carolina she was the daughter of the late Eli and Albia Bentley Harrington.
A homemaker she was the wife of the late Roy R. Gordon who died in 1983.
She was a member of the Manheim Brethren In Christ Church where she taught Sunday School. Stella also attended The Worship Center, Lancaster.
Her interests included flower gardening and was an avid bible reader.
She was devoted to her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois M. married to Frank Reinhart of Lancaster, Dolly married to Ralph C. Buchmoyer of Manheim, 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
Stella was preceeded in death by three sons, Raymond, Samuel, and Richard Gordon, and two daughters, Diana Waltz and Anna Mary Wetzel. She is also preceeded in death by two brothers, Garfield and James Harrington, and one sister, Doris Heistand.

GROFF, ALLEN, S., 75, FARMER
Allen S. Groff, 75, of 1561 Horn Road Manheim, PA died unexpectedly of natural causes on Sunday evening at home.
Born in Denver, PA., he was the son of the late Henry S. and Ella Stoner Groff.
A life long farmer he was the owner and operator of his own farm in Rapho Township. Allen also was a school bus driver with Rufus Geib Inc. Manheim, driving for the Manheim Central School District for 10 years.
He was the husband of Norma E. Martin Groff and they observed their 52nd wedding anniversary on March 10th of this year.
A member of Mount Hope Mennonite Church, Manheim, he served as a trustee at the church for many years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters Marian M. married to Paul D. Keener of Dry Run, PA., Mary M. Martin of Manheim, one son, Wilmer M. married to Linda J. Weaver Groff of Manheim, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a brother, Richard S. Groff of Ephrata.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jonas S. Groff and Samuel S. Groff and two sisters, Laura S. Groff and Anna Mae Groff.

HALDEMAN, ROSS, K., 80, PLUMBER
Ross K. Haldeman, 80, of 509 Meadowlark Lane Manheim, PA died Monday morning at the Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Penn Township, he was the son of the late George H. and Elizabeth Korte Haldeman.
He was the husband of Alice Seitz Haldeman and they would have observed their 57th wedding aniversary this month.
A life long plumber he retired in 1991. Ross served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and was active in England and Germany areas during the war.
Haldeman was a member of St. Paul’s United Church Of Christ, Manheim.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Steven S, Haldeman of Lancaster, a daughter, Janice L. married to Arthur Bowen of Hartville, Ohio, four grandchildren, and one brother, George Jr. married to Anna Mae Haldeman of Manheim.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Max Haldeman.

Debra S. Hatcher, 45, of 14 Crystal Drive, Manheim, PA , died Tuesday, June 3, 2003, at Ephrata Community Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Lancaster, Pa, she was the daughter of the late John and Katie Earhart Ruhl.
She was an LPN at Village Vista Manor, Lancaster for five years.
She was a 1995 graduate of Willow Street Career and Technology Center.
Mrs. Hatcher was a member of the Advance for LPN's.
She was an avid reader.
Surviving are three daughters: Jan M. Peel of Manheim, Amber J. married to Keith Miller of Manheim, Samantha S. Witmer at home; two grandchildren; three brothers: Ronald L. Ruhl of Lititz, Clifford R. Ruhl of Scheafferstown, Steven C. married to Maddi Maldonado Ruhl of Manheim; two sisters: Sherry L. married to Robert Adams of Lititz, Bonnie E. married to John Poole of Manheim.
She was preceded in death by one brother: Theodore Ruhl.

G. Verna Heisey, 88, of Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, died unexpectedly, Thursday, May 29, 2003, at Pleasant View Retirement Community of natural causes.
Born in Rapho Township, she was the daughter of the late Ellis H. and Edna Ruhl Heisey.
She worked for the former Noggles Garment Factory, Manheim, Pa for over 25 years and also the Donegal Industries in Mount Joy, Pa.
She was a member of the Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, Manheim, Pa were she was a Sunday School teacher and church pianist.
She was a member of the Manheim Historical Society.
Her interest included word puzzles and flower gardening.
Surviving are a sister: Betty J. Hess of Manheim and one niece
She was preceded in death by a brother: Orville S. Heisey

HERSHEY, DOROTHY D., 95, FORMERLY OF MANHEIM
Dorothy D. Hershey, 95, formerly of 77 South Hazel Street Manheim, died Saturday morning at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, following a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Pleasant View for the past two and a half years.
Born in Freeland, PA., she was the daughter of the late William and Edith Miller Davis.
Dorothy was last employed as a substitute teacher, teaching in many Lancaster County Area Elementary Schools, previous she taught Home Economics for the Towanda School District.
She was the wife of the late Dr. I. N. Hershey who died in 1975.
Dorothy graduated from Drexel University, Philadelphia with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church Of Christ, Manheim, and was a member of the Women's Guild and Kappa Nu Sunday School Class.
Other memberships included the Manheim Historical Society, she performed volunteer work for Meals On Wheels for the Manheim Area and volunteered for the Lancaster General Hospital Auxillary.
Surviving are two daughters, Edith H. married to Donald Oren of Lancaster, Elizabeth H. " Betsy " married to Donald E. Farmer of Manheim, one son, N. Davis married to Diana Quon Hershey of Redwood City, California, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Benjamin Davis.
SERVICES: Services for Dorothy D. Hershey will take place at Graveside from the Hernley Mennonite Cemetery 746 Lebanon Road, Manheim, PA on Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at 1:00 PM with her pastor the Reverend John F. Dieterly officiating, there will be no viewing.

HEMMIG, MARGARET, A., 82, INSPECTOR
Margaret A. " Peg " Hemmig, 82, of 171 Hart Street Manheim, PA., died Sunday morning at Pleasant View Retirement Community after a brief illness.
Born in Cornwall, PA., she was the daughter of the late George K. and Sallie Dundore Fies, and step daughter to Anne Fies of Lebanon, PA.
For forty years she worked as an inspector for the former Raymark Industries, Manheim, retiring in 1983.
Her husband Arthur E. Hemmig died in September 1983.
Peg was a member of Rocherty United Methodist Church, Lebanon. She was a charter member and very active with the Manheim Red Rose Lioness Club. A 1938 graduate of former Cornwall High School.
Her interests included vegetable and flower gardening and reading.
Surviving in addition to her step mother are three daughters, Jean C. married to Chester E. Immel of Rothsville, Joan S. married to Herbert Shade of Manheim, and Joyce I. married to Troy R. Moyer Sr. of Lebanon, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a step brother, Arthur married to Moly Jo Fies of California.
She was preceeded in death by a daughter, Judy L. Grube, one great granddaughter, and two brothers, Harry and Victor Fies.

HILTON, JOHN, R. 80, VETERAN
John R. Hilton, 80, of 57 North Grant Street Manheim, PA., died Friday afternoon at home following a lengthy illness.
Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Thomas C. Sr. and Cora Keath Hilton.
For over 37 years he worked as a book-binder for Science Press, Ephrata and the former Business Press in Lancaster retiring from Science Press in 1987.
John served as a Technician Fourth Grade in the 3459th Ordnance Company for the U.S. Army during WWII.
His wife Lillian M. Nagle Hilton died on October 23, 1992.
He was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim. Other memberships included, The Manheim V.F.W. Post 5956, and a life member of the Manheim Sportsman Association.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Stoney Brook Lodge located in Potter County.
Surviving are a son, Douglas R. Hilton of Manheim, a daughter, Susan M. married to Keith A. Barrick of Mechanicsburg, PA., three granddaughters, one brother, Thomas C. Hilton Jr. of Manheim, and a sister, Betty married to Wayne Getz of Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold C. Hilton, and Kermit Hilton.

Modotali N. Jiwa, 78, of 341 South Charlotte Street, Manheim, died on Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Lancaster Regional Medical Center of natural causes.
Born in Masaka, Uganda Africa, he was the son of the late Noormohamed and Jenabai Mawji Jiwa.
He retired in 1992 from Sauder Chevrolet, Manheim, PA, as an auto mechanic for 20 years.
He was married to Khatoon M. Virji Jiwa, they observed their 54 wedding anniversary in July 2002.
Modotali was a life member of the German Band Club, Manheim, and was a social member of the Manheim VFW, Post 5956.
He was a member of the Shia Imami Ismaili, Muslim Community.
Modotali enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons; Sabir married to Susan Jiwa of Houston, Texas, Mehabyb "Boo" Jiwa of Manheim, Four daughters; Nurjehan married to Zulfikar Thobani of Belleview, Washington, Nasim married to Ismail Merchant of Issaquah, Washington, Shamim married to Nazir Kassam of Lititz, Selina married to Dennis Ashcroft of Lititz, 15 grandchildren, one great granddaughter, three brothers and two sisiters.
He was preceded in death by a son, Minaz Jiwa, five brothers, and one grandson.

Lola Kennedy, 92, of 25 Ridgewood Manor, Manheim, formerly of Pound, Virginia, died Sunday at her home of natural causes.
Born in Pound, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Alamander and Delea McFalls Mullins.
Her husband, Thomas J. Kennedy died in 2000.
A homemaker all of her life, she was a member of the "Old Regular Baptist Church", Pound Virginia.
She enjoyed quilting and sewing.
Surviving is a son, Jonnie N. married to Janice Branson Kennedy, Asheboro, North Carolina; a daughter, Frances married to LeRoy W. Heisey of Manheim; 15 grandchildren; 33 Great Grandchildren; 12 Great-Great Grandchildren; five brothers, Trinkle married to Ida Mullins, Edgar, Raymond, and Clarence married to Hazel Mullins, all of Pound, Virginia, Hubert married to Corine Mullins of Coburn, Virginia; and two sisters, Lena married to Conard Stallard, and Brenda Mullins, both of Pound, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Patricia Mullins and Martha Jane Kennedy; and two sons, Chester Nile Kennedy, and Howard Kennedy; four brothers, Woodrow Mullins, Thurman Mullins, Ermine Mullins, and Ray Mullins, and two sisters, Bersie Cantrell and Flossie Mullins

KOLB, MARVIN A., 69, MANHEIM
Marvin A. Kolb, 69, formerly of North Hazel Street, Manheim, PA died Sunday morning at his home, 611 Frystown Road, Frystown, PA of Natural Causes.
Born in Spring City, PA., he was the son of the late Milton G. and Orpha F. Alderfer Kolb.
Marvin was a carpenter for Craft-Built Construction Company, Manheim for over 10 years retiring in 1995;
previously he was the maintenance director for Camp Deerpark in Westbrookville, New York; after his work at the camp he served on the camp association board for many years. Following retirement he was employed at Weis Markets, Manheim Store part time.
He was the husband of Ethel M. Meyers Kolb and they observed their 48th wedding anniversary in September of last year.
Throughout his life Marvin was an active member of Erisman Mennonite Church, Manheim, his church activities included, Teaching Sunday School, serving on various committees and boards of the church, Song Leader and singing with many different choruses and ensambles. He was also one of the members of the "Table Singers" a singing group that is well know throughout Lancaster County Area.
Marvin enjoyed Hunting, fishing and bird watching.

High Kolb of Frystown, a daughter, Barbara Jean married to Arnold Borntrager of Parker, Colorado; nine grandchildren, one brother, James married to Brenda Kolb of Sarasota, Florida; three sisters, Elsie married to Cecil Sipma of Sieverville, Tenn., Ada Smith of Spring City, PA., and Elaine Moser of Topton, PA.
He was preceeded in death by one sister, Miriam Kolb.
VIEWING: Public Viewing from the Buch Funeral Home 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00P.M. with additional viewing from the church on Thursday Morning from 10:00A.M. till service time.
SERVICES: Funeral services for Marvin A. Kolb will take place at the Erisman Mennonite Church 8 South Erisman Road, Manheim, PA., on Thursday May 22, 2003 at 11:00 A.M.
INTERMENT: Interment in Erisman Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township, PA.

LEHMAN, ESTHER, 93
Esther Lehman, 93, of Alterra Clare Bridge of East Hempfield, formerly of Penryn, Pa, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Lancaster Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Lancaster, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Maggie Arnold Peters.
She was married to John S. Lehman, he died in March 1977.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lehman was a member of Ruhl's United Methodist Church, Manheim, Pa, where she was active in her earlier years.
She was also a member of Farm Womens Society, Manheim, Pa.
She enjoyed crocheting, listening to music, and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons: Donald M. Lehman of York, Jay S. married to Joyce Lehman of Mt. Gretna, four
grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, one brother: Lester Peters, four sisters: Marie Camel, Irene Peters, Ellen Galebach, and Belva Keenan.
SERVICES: Services are at Ruhl's United Methodist Church, 410 W. Elizabethtown Road Manheim, Pa
DATE & TIME: Friday, May 23, 2003 at 2:00 pm.
INTERMENT: The adjoining Church Cemetery.
VIEWING: There will be a public viewing one hour prior to the service.
