Betty J. Huggins Stroud, 77, of 200 Catherine Street, Steelton, died Sunday, June 8, 2003 in her home.
She was a retired Clerical Supervisor for the PA Fish Commission, and a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steelton.
Betty was the widow of Charles E. "Ed" Stroud, Sr., and is survived by a son, Charles E. Stroud, Jr., of Clarendon, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 16, 2003 at 2 p.m., in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second Street, Steelton, with Rev. Harold S. Fox officiating. Burial in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home.

BETTY A. WINKLEMAN
Betty A. Winkleman, 66, of Steelton, died Monday, June 9, 2003 in her home.
She was a retired employee of McCrory's Store, downtown Harrisburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Anna Winkleman, Sr., a sister, Patricia DeFrank and a brother, Lester "Pee Wee" Winkleman, Jr. Surviving are two sisters, Clara D. Runkle of East Pennsboro Twp. and Judith F. Winkleman of Steelton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL SERVICES: There will be no services. Burial in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. Arrangements by Wiedeman Funeral Home, Steelton.

CHARLOTTE L. SHUEY
Charlotte L. Shuey, of Harrisburg, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 in Manor Care Health Services, Camp Hill.
She was a retired Unemployment Compensation Referee for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She volunteered at the Community General Osteopathic Hospital; was a member of Seroptomist International-Harrisburg, Amnesty International and the Women's League for Peace and Freedom.
She is survived by two sisters, Ada Vanatta of Elizabethtown and Joan Fowler of Birmingham, AL; two brothers, Paul Shuey of Lower Paxton Twp. and Carl W. Shuey of The Villages, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 23rd and Derry Streets, Harrisburg. Burial in Rolling Green Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. A visitation will be held Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., in the funeral home.

DORIS GOVELOVICH LOPATIC
Doris Govelovich Lopatic, 79, of 1310 Kelly Road, Oberlin, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003 in her home.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton.
She was the widow of Stanley J. Lopatic, Sr., and is survived by four sons, Raymond E. Lopatic of Bressler, Stephen M. Lopatic of West Hanover Twp., Thomas P. Lopatic of Apacha Junction, Arizona, and Richard J. Lopatic of N. Carolina; six daughters, Patricia A. Sypniewski of Steelton, Carol L. Marion of Oberlin, Irene M. Lopatic of Steelton, Donna E. Casciotti of Mechanicsburg, Karen J. Sallinger of Steelton, and Maria A. Lopatic of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Mary Govelovich of Harrisburg; 29 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley J. Lopatic, Jr.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Church, with Rev. Samuel E. Houser as celebrant. Burial in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Friday, in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second Street, Steelton.

VICTOR E. MCCLEARY
Victor E. McCleary, 83, of Harrisburg, died Sunday, June 15, 2003 in his daughter's home.
He was a retired Railcar Repairman for the former Reading Railroad, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and recipient of the Silver Star. He was a member of the Society of the First Infantry Division, Epworth United Methodist Church-Harrisburg, Derry Street and 29th Street United Methodist Churches Golden Agers, Paxtang Lions Club, Railroad Retiree Club and the VFW Post #1213.
He was the widower of Dorothy M. Fickes McClearly. He is survived by one daughter, Sandra L. Weiser and her husband David L. of Colonial Park, one sister, Viola Wiestling, Harrisburg; two granddaughters Lori Cale and her husband Douglas, Mechanicsburg and Dawn Harlacher and her husband Kurt, Harrisburg; three great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 23rd and Derry Streets, Harrisburg. Burial in Highspire Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

RUDOLPH J. SEKER
Rudolph J. "Randy" Seker, 83, of Griffith House, 800 Wood Street, Steelton, died Wednesday, June 11, 2003 in his home.
He was a retired clerk for the Commonwealth of PA, a former member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, a member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, and St. Lawrence Club.
He is survived by two sisters, Gizella S. Ricci of Colonial Park, and Margaret T. Zuvich of Steelton; and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, in Prince of Peace-Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Samuel E. RUTH HALLMAN TURSKI
Ruth Hallman Turski, 72, of Hoy Towers, Swatara Twp., returned to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, June 9, 2003 in her home.
She was a retired administrative assistant. She was born in Neff's Mills, PA, daughter of Clyde L., and Jane Parsons Hallman. She was a graduate of Harrisburg Area Community College and a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and Calvary United Methodist Church, Colonial Park.
Surviving are a son, John T. Turski III, DO of Ceres, VA; a daughter, Kathy R. Turski of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Martha Croyle of Boalsburg, PA and Nancy Greene of Hockessin, DE; and 15 grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at a future date in the Morresville United Methodist Church, Morresville, PA. If you are interested in participating at the service, the family invites you to contact them. Arrangements by Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, Harrisburg.

FRANK C. FISCHER
Frank C. Fischer, 80, of 2606 Hillsdale Road, Londonderry Twp., died Saturday, June 14, 2003 in his home.
He was a retired molder for the former Olmsted Air Force Base, Middletown and a retired electrician for Bethlehem Steel Corp. He was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II and a charter member of the Londonderry Twp. Fire Company, where he served as Chief of the Fire Police and was active in its auxiliary.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steelton, Dauphin County Volunteer Firemen's Association, Dauphin County Fire Chiefs and Fire Police Association, PA Fire Police Association, Harrisburg Coin Club, VFW Post 1620, Middletown, American Legion Post 594, Middletown, Swatara Twp. High School Alumni Association, Hump Pilots Association, C.B.I. and the Keystone Basha of the C.B.I. Veterans Association.
He was the widower of Kathryn M. Hartwick Fischer and is survived bytwo daughters, Kay A. Strong of Harrisburg and Jo Anne Noel of Middletown; a sister, Elizabeth J. Fischer of Enhaut; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second Street, Steelton, with Rev. Harold S. Fox, his pastor, officiating. Burial in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.

JUAN VALDES-EMBALE
Juan Valdes-Embale, 60, of 3300 Paxton Street, Swatara Township, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003. He was a warehouseman for D&H Distributing Company, Harrisburg. He was born in Cuba.
He is survived by his wife, Maria Estrada; three sons, Irvin Oliver, Owen Urighre and Melvin Rojo, all at home; four daughters, Zoraida Rojo, Melanie Mercedes, Otilia Valdes, all at home, and Sarai Rojo of Highspire; his mother, Otilia Valdes; and several brothers and sisters, all of Cuba; four grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 23rd and Derry Streets, Harrisburg. Burial in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. Viewing will be held on Sunday from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home.

MARY SCHEIB BROWN
Mary Scheib Brown, 78, of 421 Catherine Street, Steelton, died Wednesday, June 18, 2003 in Harrisburg Hospital.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steelton and the widow of Eldon H. Brown.
She is survived by two sons, Raymond H. Brown of Dillsburg and Roger E. Brown of Steelton; a daughter, Sandra L. Fegley of Virginia Beach, VA; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second Street, Steelton. Burial in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.

FRANCESKA ANNA BABICH DEIMLER
Franceska Anna Babich Deimler, 39, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 9:55 p.m. She was surrounded by loved ones at her home in Carlisle. Fran was born September 28, 1963 at Fitch Hospital, Bronx, NY. She was a graduate of Bishop McDevitt High School, Class of 1981; a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Parish, Carlisle; and a former member of Prince of Peace Roman Catholic Parish, Steelton.
She was Vice President of Deimler International, Inc.
She leaves to celebrate her precious life, her husband, Brett A. Deimler; her children, Angela and Anthony; her parents, Joseph and Katarina Babich; her grandmother, Maria Mlinac; her brother, Ivan and his wife, Melanie Babich; her sister, Maria and her husband, Mike Detemple; 54 nieces and nephews, and thousands of adoring friends.
Fran lived her life loving the Lord, her family and friends. She lived to serve the Lord in her short, but glorious 39 years. She dedicated her life to helping others and inspiring thousands with her pure spirit. She will be more than greatly missed.

PAUL C.GRUBB
Paul C. Grubb, 91, of 509 Manor Terrace, Lenker Manor, Swatara Twp., died Friday, June 20, 2003 in his home.
He was the retired Director of the Harrisburg Area American Red Cross First Aid and Water Safety Programs for 36 years. During that time he directed National Aquatic Schools at Camp Lutherlyn and Camp Indian Trails in Pennsylvania and Camp Hanover in Virginia. He served on the Red Cross Disaster Team during Hurricanes Agnes and Eloise in Harrisburg, and the 1977 flood in Johnstown. He was the originator of the Red Cross-Patriot-News Learn to Swim Program in Central PA, and was inducted into the PA Swimming Hall of Fame in 1968.
He was inducted as Commodore in the Longfellow Life Saving Society in 1975 and served as National Membership Chairman. His professional associations included Committee Memberships on PA Emergency Health Services Council, the Governors Traffic Safety Council, and the original PA Ambulance Association. He served as Red Cross liaison with various State Departments including, Environmental Resources, Division of Emergency Medical Services, Health Department, Department of Parks and Department of Education. He was a life member of the Susquehanna Yacht Club, having served as its Commodore in 1982. He was a graduate of Johnstown High School, attended Penn State University and Lebanon Valley College. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II; a member of Paxton Presbyterian Church, Paxtang; the Paxton Mens Fellowship Group; and Past President of the Lenker Manor Civic Association, where he was elected Citizen of the Year in 1977. Following his retirement, he joined the Dauphin County District Attorneys Support Staff, where he served as a member for over 26 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth T. Grubb; two daughters, Dolores Walker of Mechanicsburg, and Patricia Groft of Thomasville; one brother, Richard Grubb of Johnstown; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL SERVICES: A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in Paxton Presbyterian Church, with Rev. John W. Green, his pastor officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. Arrangements are being handled by Fackler-Wiedeman Funeral Home, 23rd and Derry Streets, Harrisburg.
MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of his church, 3500 Sharon Street, Harrisburg, PA 17111; or to Pinnacle Health Hospice, 3705 Elmwood Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

JOANNE KOZLOSKY
Joanne "Jo" Kozlosky, 44, of 902 South 19th Street, Harrisburg, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003 in Spring Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Swatara Township.
She was the Office Manager and Administrative Assistant for Jack Barton Construction Co., Supervisor for Edwards Cards and Gift Shop, Camp Hill, and a former member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Harrisburg. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and was a doll collector.
She is survived by her parents, Stanley J. and Agnes Gorse Kozlosky, with whom she lived; a brother, Stephen M. Kozlosky of Harrisburg; three sisters, Paulette M. Kozlosky of Harrisburg, Judy A. Heim of Middletown, and her twin, Anne Kozlosky of Lewisberry; two nephews, Tom and Tony; a niece, Michelle. She was blessed to come from a large extended family of many aunts, uncles and cousins.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second Street, Steelton, with Rev. Bernard P. McGinley, Pastor of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Harrisburg, officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the funeral home.

ELIZABETH KAPP SCHNEIKER
Elizabeth Kapp Schneiker, 91, of 711 North Highlands Drive, Lower Paxton Twp., died Wednesday, June 25, 2003 in the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg, Lower Paxton Twp.
She was a retired transcriber for the State Senate of the Commonwealth of PA and a self-employed private transcriber.
She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steelton, and was the widow of John Schneiker.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol S. Lehman of Wilmington, Delaware, and Joanne K. Schneiker of Harrisburg; and a sister, Katherine Beck of Camp Hill.
FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m., in Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second Street, Steelton, with Rev. Harold S. Fox, her pastor, officiating. Burial in Churchville Cemetery, Oberlin. A viewing will be held on Friday from 1-2 p.m., in the funeral home.
