Jeanne von der Lieth, 79, passed away Friday, March 10, 2006 at the Northern Dutchess Hospital.
Mrs. von der Lieth was a lifelong resident of Rhinebeck and a graduate of the Rhinebeck High School class of 1944. She was employed for many years as a teller at the First National Bank of Rhinebeck and the Rhinebeck Savings Bank.
Born October 16, 1926 in Rhinebeck, she was the daughter of Louis C. and Elizabeth (Shook) Odell.
On November 25, 1951 in Rhinebeck she married Richard L. von der Lieth.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. von der Lieth is survived, a daughter Sandra, and her husband Donald Tiberio of Rhinebeck, a son Richard, and his wife Pamela von der Lieth of Rhinebeck; six grandchildren Christopher, Kevin and Amanda Tiberio, Matthew and Kelly von der Lieth, and Rebecca Kipp, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister Marjorie Tompkins, and three brothers, Louis Odell, Jr., Roy Odell, and Roger Odell.
Calling hours are Friday, March 17th, 6 to 8 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck, NY 12572. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 PM; Rev. Thomas Hartley will officiate. Interment
will be in the Wurtemburg Cemetery.

Thomas J. Bradford of Rhinebeck, New York, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, with family prayerfully by his side. Thomas was a sports enthusiast as well as an avid reader. He was happily employed by Ruges Oldsmobile/Subaru of Rhinebeck for many years. Thomas was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and grandfather. Thomas is survived by his wife Mary Bradford of Rhinebeck, N.Y. and his children; Daughter Kelly Freer and Husband Steven of Kingston, N.Y., Daughter Trisha Guzel and Husband Chet of Nanuet, N.Y., Daughter Jean Lilly and Husband Dan of Jamestown, R.I., Daughter Tara McCarthy and Husband Eugene of Brewster, N.Y., son Richard M. Monaghan Jr. of Rhinebeck, N.Y., brother Gerry of Saugerties, N.Y. and five grandchildren.
Family will receive visitors between 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, February 8th, at the The Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 West Market Street, Rhinebeck. Prayers will be offered Wednesday evening at 8 PM. A mass of the christian burial will be celebrated at 11 am, Thursday, February 9th at the Church of the Good Shepard, 3 Mulberry St., Rhinebeck.

Florence Louise Sitser Metz, 81, passed away, Monday, January 16, 2006, at the Ferncliff Nursing Home.
Mrs. Metz was a KAZ retiree.
She was born April 23, 1924 in Catskill, NY.
She was predeceased by her husband John Metz in 1991, a son Edward, and a sister Mary.
She is survived by a stepdaughter Shirley Smith of Rhinebeck, a step-son John Metz of Lake George, a brother John, three sisters, Theresa, Vera and Lucille, 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great -Great Grandchildren, 5 nephews and 3 nieces.
Funeral services and burial are private.

Maynard E. Seaman

Mr. Maynard E. Seaman of Cornwall, NY, died on December 27, 2005 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. He was 83 years old.
Mr. Seaman was a retired District Representative of Central Hudson Utilities.
The Seaman was born April 11, 1922 in Salisbury Mills, NY, the son of Fred Seaman and Mary Jane Johnston Seaman.
He was a past member of the Cornwall Town Board and worked for Central Hudson for 32 years.
A family statement read: "Maynard was a loving husband, father and grandfather."
He was married to Anita S. Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Seaman, at home; son Todd A. Seaman of Cornwall, NY; daughter Mary E. Troncilitto and husband Alan of Marlboro, NY; grandchildren Martin Markonic and wife Olivia of Millerton, NY; three great granddaughters; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Seaman was predeceased to two sisters, Jennie O'Mara, Mariam Barton, and brother, Frederick Seaman.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 30, 2005 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Bethlehem Presbyterian Cemetery, Cornwall, NY.

Louis F. Ginocchio, 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Rhinebeck, NY, on Monday, December 26, 2005.
Louis Francis Ginocchio was born August 26, 1917 in Milford, Ct.; he was the son of John and Elizabeth (Maletsa) Ginocchio.
Mr. Ginocchio graduated of Carson Long Military Academy in 1936. For many years he resided at Hickory Hill Farm and Stissing Lake in Pine Plains, NY.
He married his first wife, Isabella A. ‘Peggy’ Ginocchio, in 1939; she passed away October 1, 1982.
On September 1, 1984, he married Virginia (Delaney) Carey; they lived in Florida for 18 years and returned to Rhinebeck in 2002.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ginocchio is survived by a son Louis, and his wife Eleanor Ginocchio of Pine Plains; a daughter Donna, and her husband Mason Ruhlen, of Bayonne, NJ; three step-daughters Patricia, and her husband Harold Jurgens of Cairo, NY; Pamela, and her husband Gary Fix of Hudson, NY; and Margaret, and her husband Jerry Egletoft of Prairie City, OR; a brother John, and his wife Syra Ginocchio of Tuscon, AZ; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a step-sister Elizabeth Bowers.
Private graveside services will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.

Robert H. Jacoby, 69, of Millbrook, NY, died Monday, December 26, 2005 at his home.
A lifelong resident of Northern Dutchess County, Bob worked for the Dutchess County Highway Department for many years as a Supervisor and also a Sector Chief. He retired in January 2004.
Born August 7, 1936, in Rhinebeck, NY , he was the son of the late Harry and Mildred (Hyde) Jacoby.
Robert married Margaret Robinson on April 10, 1976 in Poughkeepsie, NY. Marge predeceased him on November 17, 2005.
He is survived by his four children: Maria Jacoby, and James Occhuizzo of Millerton, NY, Danny Occhuizzo and Debra Flynn of Poughkeepsie, a sister: Janet Kornbreck of Hazlehurst, Miss., an aunt: Florence Harris of Millbrook; five grandchildren: Joseph Hertel of Millerton, Katie, John, and Karen Flynn of Poughkeepsie, and Frank Krumrie of New Jersey, two nephews and a niece: Brian Kornbreck of Somerville, NJ, Glenn Kornbreck, and Laurie Williams of Hazlehurst, Miss.
Bob lost his dog and “best friend”, Koko Jacoby, this past fall.

Louisa Fennell, 94 passed away Monday, December 26, 2005, at the Ferncliff Nursing Home.
Mrs. Fennell was a former resident of Newtown, Ct. and New York City. She was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church.
Born May 3, 1911 in County Clare, Ireland, Louisa was the daughter of James and Louisa (Honan) Coughlin.
She worked as a nanny after her immigration from Ireland. She was proud of her heritage and her adopted country. She volunteered in her children’s schools and her church.
Mrs. Fennel was predeceased by her husband John J. Fennell.
She is survived by six children Mary Louise Dunkley of Waretown, NJ; Bernadette Herr of Warner, NH; Joan Dolan of Gaithersburg, MD; Susan Ryan of Oradell, NJ; Irene Gallagher of Valley Forge, PA; and Laura Gilhooly of Stanfordville, NY; a sister Theresa Kehoe of Ireland, 16 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Harry Mills Judge, MD

Harry Mills Judge, MD age 82, died on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Harry, known to his patients, friends and admirers as “Doc,” was born in Albany on November 10, 1923 to Cornelia Knower Mills and Dr. Harry Vincent Judge and lived in Albany his entire life. He grew up in Albany on Providence Street with a group of friends that has stayed together for more than 80 years. A graduate of the Albany Academy (1941) and Dartmouth College (1945), he received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in 1947, and took an internship in internal medicine at the hospital the following year. Harry completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Manhattan Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital in New York City and was a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Harry began his private medical practice with his father in 1953. He operated the practice for nearly 40 years and after he “retired” continued to work for the Veterans Administration Hospital and the New York State Police, as a Professor at Albany Medical College and with Dr. Aaron Kassoff at The Eye Center at Memorial Hospital. He tirelessly contributed his time and energy to many organizations, foremost among them the Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany. He served on the Board of Directors for NABA for many years and started NABA’s Low Vision Clinic, which carries his name. In 1963, he was one of a group of Albany physicians who provided free medical care for five weeks to the residents of war-torn Algeria as part of a joint United Nations/CARE/Medico effort. This was a life-altering event for Harry and one of which he was justifiably proud.
Harry was a third-generation summer resident of Martha's Vineyard. He loved the natural beauty and serenity of the island and spent much of his time there indulging in his passion for bird watching. His interest in ornithology took him, along with his son, Timothy, on a bird watching trip to the Galapagos Islands. He was a member of many area bird watching groups, including the Hudson Mohawk Bird Club. Harry was also an amateur musician and played the drums from an early age with numerous local bands. His love of music, especially Dixieland Jazz, drew him as recently as this year to Wilmington, NC, for the Annual North Carolina Jazz Festival. In addition to drumming, he loved singing and joined the Mendelssohn Club of Albany in 1959. Harry was a tireless storyteller and a master of limericks, both delicate and ribald. He possessed an insatiable curiosity about everything and never tired of investigating something new. Harry was a kind and gentle man who led by example. His compassion for others, his quiet commitment to service and his love of life are the gifts that he has left for his family and friends. Harry will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Harry was the loving husband of his cherished wife of 52 years, Mary Walsh Judge. He was the beloved father of Elaine Gatti Procopio and her husband Joseph, of Chapel Hill, NC; Diana Gatti Wong and her late husband, Daniel, of Rochester, NY; Kathleen Anne Carlton and her husband McDonald, of Albany; Mary Cornelia Judge of Feura Bush, NY; Harry Mills Judge, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Albany; and Timothy Knower Judge and his wife Paula of Sleepy Hollow, NY. He leaves behind 11 wonderful grandchildren: Joseph, Michael and Peter Procopio, Diane Procopio Todd; Elaine, Anne Marie, Daniel and Michael Wong; Ian McDonald Carlton, Samantha Emily DeCola Judge and Allison Erin DeCola Judge; and three great grandchildren.

Peter C. Mostaccio, 79, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2005, at the Kingston Hospital.
Mr. Mostaccio was member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 203 and was a 25 year resident of Rhinebeck.
He served in the US Army from 1944 to 1945.
Born July 18, 1926 in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Giuseppe and Santa Maria (Ruolo) Mostaccio.
He was predeceased in 1985 by his wife Doris Emma (Shove) Mostaccio.
Mr. Mostaccio is survived by a son Peter A. Mostaccio of Clermont; three grandchildren, Barbara Nicole Carlino of Saugerties, Eric Mostaccio of Philmont and Jessica Mostaccio of Stockport; four great grandchildren, Mariyah, Shoshanna, Jesse and Josiah Carlino; a brother Joseph Mostaccio, a sister Connie Valio and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Beverly Storbel, a brother Raymond and a sister Venze.

Gloria I. Shelley, 80, of Edgewater, FL, died Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler in Port Orange, FL.
Gloria was a member of the Bert Fish Medical Center Ladies' Auxiliary in New Smyrna Beach, active in their Bedpan Band and the Pink Door Thrift Shop. Additionally she had been a volunteer for many years with the Police Athletic League in Mt. Vernon, NY.
She moved to Florida in 1987, having previously lived in Hudson and Mt. Vernon, NY. While living in Mt. Vernon she worked as a school crossing guard.
Born Feb. 27, 1925, in Mt. Vernon, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank Parker and Edith Fredericks, and was the step daughter of Walter Fredericks. On August 5, 1943 she married Donald Shelley. Donald predeceased her in 1980, and one sister, Doris DePolo predeceased her in 1998.
She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands: Judith & Robert Simpson of Red Hook, NY and Gail "Candy" & Dominick Picchione of New Milford, CT., five grandchildren, Bryan Rifenburgh of Saugerties, NY., Amie Semancik of Staatsburg, NY., Gloria Snodgrass, Dominick Picchione II and Stephen Picchione of New Milford, CT., and five great grandchildren.

Alma Walker Hicks York

Alma Hicks York was born on September 14, 1916 in Knoxville, Tennessee and died peacefully on December 14, 2005 at The Thompson House in Rhinebeck, New York.
Mrs. York was the daughter of Effie and Hugh W. Walker, Sr. and was a graduate of Knoxville Central High School.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Hugh W. Walker, Jr.( Margaret) and Donald Walker (Annie, who lives in Knoxville). Kenneth Walker (Betty) Mrs. York's surviving brother lives in Fountain City, Tennessee. There are five nieces and nephews, Hugh and Mary Walker, Carolyn Patterson, Donna Beeler and Bill Walker and many great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. York was married to Bruce Hicks for many years and had a long and successful career as an executive secretary at the University of Tennessee. After Mr. Hicks' death in 1991, she married a former high school classmate, Otis York, who died in 2004.
Surviving are Mr. York's daughter, Suzanne Cannavino of Rhinebeck, New York, his sister Ora Long, of Knoxville Tenn. , grandchildren, Larry, Aaron and Stephen York and great grand daughter, Bianca York all residing in Atlanta. The family is grateful for the friendship and loving care Julie Detmer and her husband Bill gave to Mrs. York during her three-year residence in Rhinebeck, New York.
There will be a memorial service at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 4904 Asheville in Knoxville, IN. 37914 on December 22nd, 2005 at 11 :30 am.
