Theodore "Ted" A. Brown , 92, of Port Charlotte, Fla., died on Sunday, May 27, 2007. He was born Jan. 19, 1915, in New York, N.Y. to Frank and Lillian (Arras) Brown. Ted was a retired educator whose career spanned 35 years, beginning as a physical education teacher and coach, then guidance counselor and school administrator. Ted moved to Florida from this area in 1991, after wintering there since 1977. He was a member of Maranatha Fellowship in Port Charlotte, FLA and had been a member of Christian Faith Fellowship in Middletown, NY. Ted was active working with Prison Fellowship, Bill Glass Prison Ministries and served as a phone counselor for TBN. Ted's great sense of humor and stories will be missed by all who knew him.
Ted will be greatly missed by his daughter, Karen Malloy of Wallkill, N.Y and son, Russ (Debbie) Brown of Port Charlotte, FLA; six grandchildren: Tracey and Kristen Malloy of Wallkill, NY, Joshua, Joel, Elizabeth and Rebecca Goodrick of FLA. and six great-grandchildren: Michael, Nicole, Paul, Victoria, David and Samuel; niece, Diane Atherton of SC. He was predeceased by first wife, Theresa (Ott), of 8 years; his wife Muriel {Kleine}, of 56 years; a son, Paul; his sister, Evelyn Souhrada, and his parents.
Friends may call on Friday, June 1, from 6:30-8:30pm at the Wallkill Funeral Home, 12 Bona Ventura Ave., Wallkill NY. Services to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2007 at 11am. at Christian Faith Fellowship Church, 510 M&M Road, in Middletown, NY. Burial will follow in Wallkill Valley Cemetery, Walden, NY.

Costante Tarolli of Walden, NY, a retired carpenter, and a longtime resident of the area died Tuesday, May 29, 2007, in Montgomery. He was 97.
The son of Giovanni Tarolli and Silvia Baroni, he was born on January 24, 1910, in Reed, Pennsylvania.
He was a member of Most Precious Blood Church. He was a veteran of the Army in World War II,
He was the widower of Caroline Betta Tarolli.
Survivors include his Daughter Diane Chung and her husband Robert of Montgomery Son Edward Tarolli of San Diego, California Grandson Christopher Chung of Austin, Texas 2 Granddaughters Emily and Julia Chung of Montgomery
He was predeceased by 2 brothers Endi and Mario Tarolli and 2 sisters Maria Tamanini and Regina Bleggi.
Visitation will be Friday June 1, 2007 from 5pm to 8pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY.
A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Most Precious Blood Church, Walnut St., Walden at 11:30 am.

Robert J. “Bob” Wohltjen of Bradley , died Saturday May 19, 2007 at Catskill Regional Medical Center Harris. He was 52.
Bob was born in Liberty on November 8, 1954 to Elaine Rosch and the late Harold Wohltjen.
He was a self employed farrier. He was a member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his mother Elaine Wohltjen Normandin of Zellwood, Fl, his best friend Eileen Wohltjen at home, one brother; Kurt Wohltjen and wife Debbie of Duncan,SC and several aunts,uncles, and cousins.

Helen C. Dinanzio, 92, a one year resident of Beacon and formerly of Yonkers, died at the Wingate at St. Francis on Sunday, May 27, 2007.
Born in Pottsville, PA on February 20, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Rosa Mancini Marchionne. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed bingo and reading.
On April 6, 1940 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Yonkers, she married Hugo Dinanzio who died on August 29, 1990. She was also predeceased by her son, Hank Dinanzio in 2001; her son-in-law, Richard Buczek in 2001; her sisters, Laura DiRenzo, Julia Ricciardi and Mary Mylie; and her brother, Anthony Marchionne.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Buczek of Fishkill; her grandchildren, Vicki Barber, Kristi Wilson and Alyssa Dinanzio; her great-grandchildren, Madison and Zachary Barber and Richie and Riley Wilson; her sister, Margaret Gianzero of Austin, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

Charles J. Richardson, 66, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 25 years and formerly of Harrison, died at home on Saturday, May 26, 2007.
Born in Brooklyn on February 27, 1941, he was the son of the late Walter and Julia Bochetich Richardson. He was employed as the Auditor for the Inn at the Falls for 10 years until his retirement in 1997. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction and a member of St. Mary’s Council #4065, Knights of Columbus.
On August 31, 1968 in the Bronx, he married Joan Marie Cushnahan who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter, Krystn Richardson of Westborough, MA; his son, Charles Richardson and his wife, Dorina DiLullo of Yonkers; his grandson, Charles Joseph Richardson III; his sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Marsh and Catherine Hynes; and his brother-in-law, John Cushnahan.

John W. Heagney

John W. Heagney, 97, a resident of Ghent since 2000 and formerly of Islip, died at the Whittier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, Ghent on Thursday, May 24, 2007.
Born in Hornell on September 20, 1909, he was the son of the late Eugene Patrick and Catherine Rawlings Heagney. He was a self-employed mechanic who enjoyed midget racing cars, flying airplanes, and wrought iron work. He was also an inventor.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Conklin and her husband, Stephen of Hopewell Junction; a son, Bruce Heagney of Vancouver, WA; stepsons, George and Paul Montemarano of FL; a nephew, William Dickett of Clinton Hollow, whom he thought of as a son; nieces, Elizabeth Heagney of FL and Dorothy Macdonald of GA, whom he thought of as daughters; a brother, George Heagney of Chicago, IL; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Evelyn Sbrocco Burt; his second wife, Janet Brennan Montemarano; a brother, Donald Heagney; and a sister, Kathleen Wagner.

Maureen A. Garland of Middletown died unexpectedly Monday, May 21, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center at Horton. She was 59.
Maureen was a long time resident of Middletown who recently retired from the local telephone company after 30 years of service.
She was an avid bowler who enjoyed the company of her fellow bowlers and friends. Maureen was married 23 years to her loving husband James M. Garland, who passed away in January of this year.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Ann Marie and her husband Michael Davis and Patricia and her husband Roger Smith, both of New Mexico, 2 brothers, Larry Provost and his wife Luanne of Fallsburgh and Frank Provost and his wife Melanie of San Diego, CA 3 sisters in law Kathleen and her husband Randy VanKeuren of Coconut Beach, FL, Alice and her husband Anthony Belfiglio of Middletown, Maryann and her husband John Ramm of Aneheim, CA. 4 brothers in law Edward Garland and his wife Patricia of Cottekill, Patrick Garland and his wife Darlene, Daniel Garland, Stephen Garland and his wife Tami all of Middletown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gerard “Jerry” Cannella, 84, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 12 years and formerly of Yonkers, died on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie.
Born on January 16, 1923 in Manhattan, he was the son of Vincent and Angelina Mangone Cannella. He was employed as the Chief of the Physics Department for the Community College of New York for 24 years until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction.
On January 13, 1946 in Washington Heights, he married Donata “Nettie” Gallo who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Jim Cannella and his wife, Peggy of Wappingers Falls; his daughter, Geri Coletta and her husband, Richard of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Keith and Matthew Cannella and Lauren Holder; his great-grandsons, Jackson and Ryan Cannella; his sister, Mary Scaglione and her husband, Michael of Hatfield, PA; and his sister-in-law, Madeline Cannella of Millbrook. He was predeceased by his brother, Anthony Cannella.

Harry E. Eldridge, retired owner of Harry Eldridge Plumbing and Heating of White Lake, died on Sunday May 20, 2007 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 80.
He was the son of the late Harry and Anna Kuchenreuter Eldridge and was born on February 2, 1927 in Union City, NJ.
Harry was a 60-year member of the White Lake Fire Department and was a past chief. He was the chairman of the board of White Lake Fire District Commission and a member of the Fire Police. He also was a member of the White Lake Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Patricia Healey of Smallwood and Deirdre Barry and her husband Kenneth of White Lake; 3 grandchildren. Kimberly LaPolt, Kelly Helms and Kristy LaPolt; 5 great-grandchildren, Angelica Helms, Marlaina Ponce, Julianna Grillo, Garrett LaPolt and Kyle LaPolt and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Louis Eldridge.

Marie Rudzinskas, a 25-year area resident and an employee of Wal-Mart in Monticello, died on Monday May 21, 2007 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 60.
The daughter of Leonard and Susie Ferola Cacciatore, she was born on November 11, 1946 in Bronx, NY.
A family statement reads, “ Marie was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who brought happiness and joy to whoever crossed her path. Gone to Heaven 5-20-07 but not forgotten. P.S. Marie left the building. P.S.S. Shine on you crazy diamond.”
Marie is survived by her mother, Susie Cacciatore of White Lake; her husband of 44 years, Thomas Rudzinskas at home; a son, Vance Rudzinskas of White Lake; a daughter, Dorothy Minieri of Brooklyn, NY; a brother, Leonard Cacciatore of New Jersey; a sister, Dianne Winne of Georgetown, SC and a grandson, Harrison Storm Rudzinskas.
She was predeceased by a brother Anthony and a sister, Margaret Caruso.
There will be no visitation or services.

Ruth Wells, a homemaker and lifetime area resident, died on Friday May 18, 2007 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 80 years of age.
She was the daughter of the late John and Hannah Blumquist Newman and was born on March 31, 1927 in Port Jervis, NY.
Ruth is survived by her four children, Richard Wells and his wife Theresa of Kathleen, GA, Peggy Earle and her husband Warren of Apex, NC, Katharine Knapp of Youngsville and Rose Mary Muzuruk and her husband Glenn of Liberty. 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandson and 3 nieces and a nephew further survive her.
She was the widow of Vernon “Smokey” Wells who died in 1989. Her three brothers, John, Eric and Alfred Newman, also predeceased her.
Visitation will be held today (Tuesday) May 22, 2007 from noon to 2 PM at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St. Liberty. Funeral services will be at 2 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Kenneth Rodgers officiating.
Burial will be in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery.

Mary Washington, a 50-year area resident, passed away on Thursday May 17, 2007 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 69.
The daughter of the late George and Mattie Bennett Washington, she was born on December 27, 1937 in Sumter, SC.
Mary was retired from the housekeeping dept at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Hospital Workers Union 1199 and was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Ferndale.
Survivors include her son, Clyde Washington of Liberty; a brother, Kenneth Washington of Charleston, SC; 4 sisters, Ellen Young, Alice R. Stewart and husband LeRoy, Alice Marie Ford and Diane Washington, all of Charleston, SC; several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives.

Hubert Dixon Smith, Jr.

Hubert Dixon Smith, Jr., 84, a resident of the Town of Newburgh and formerly a 43 year resident of the Town of LaGrange, died on Friday, May 18, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh.
Born on July 14, 1922 in Spruce Pine, NC, he was the son of Hubert Dixon Smith, Sr. and Hulda Brown. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a Sergeant in the US Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Smith was employed for 32 years with New York Life Insurance, Poughkeepsie, retiring in 1984 as a Training Supervisor.
Mr. Smith was an avid golfer, a member of the McCann Golf Club and was a Mutable City of Poughkeepsie Golf Champion during the 1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s. He enjoyed playing cards, birdwatching, traveling, reading and art, and spent much of his time visiting libraries and museums.
On April 30, 1955 in Poughkeepsie, he married Frances M. Schlude who died on March 6, 1990.
During the last 17 years, he was survived by his life partner, Margaret Ann Smith, with whom he made his home. He loved her very much! She made his retirement years so very enjoyable.
Mr. Smith was the father of H. Dixon Smith, III and grandfather of Brittany L. Smith and Cierra R. Smith of LaGrange. He is also survived by his sister, Hulda Gaines of TX and his brothers, Robert Smith of CO, William Smith of NC, Richard Smith of CA, Eugene Smith of NC, Charlie Smith of TX, Heyward Smith of GA and Morris Smith of NC. He was predeceased by his brothers, Emerson and Paul Smith and his sister, Virginia Rich.

Stephen J. Wodraska, Jr.

Stephen J. Wodraska, Jr., 79, an resident of the Town of LaGrange for 11 years, formerly of Pelham Manor and Bronx, NY died on Friday, May 18, 2007 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He owned Stephen J. Wodraska Company, Inc., a roofing and sheet metal company in New Rochelle where he had worked for almost sixty years, retiring in 2005. Stephen was a member of Blessed Kateri Church in LaGrangeville, and formerly attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Pelham Manor, where he served as an usher and was very involved in fundraising for the church’s building campaign. He was also a longtime member of the New Rochelle Kiwanis Club.
Born in Mt. Vernon, NY on April 2, 1928, he was the son of the late Stephen J. Wodraska, Sr. and Elsie Worel Wodraska. In 1946, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Myer, VA. He was honorably discharged in 1947 and went on to serve in the Army National Guard for two years. On April 4, 1949, he married Mary Riordan at Our Lady of Victory Church in New York City. Mrs. Wodraska survives at home.
Stephen is also survived by two daughters, Janet N. Chadwick of Eden Prairie, MN, and Lynn E. DelVecchio and her husband Michael of Port Chester, NY; two sons, Stephen J. Wodraska III of Dover, and Ronald R. Wodraska and his wife Marlene of Pelham Manor; his grandchildren, Michelle Genna, Christopher DelVecchio, Stephen J. Wodraska IV, Amber Wodraska, Brittany Wodraska, Jacob Wodraska, Shawn Wodraska, Kimberly Wodraska, and Peter Wodraska. He was predeceased by his daughter Karen S. Wodraska in 1996, and his grandson, Corporal John Edward Chadwick (USMC) in 1999.

Nicholas E. Ficara, 22, a resident of Hopewell Junction, died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 17, 2007.
Born in Mount Kisco on June 12, 1984, he was the son of Edwin and Rosemarie Donnelly Ficara who survive at home. He was a 2003 graduate of John Jay High School where he was the Patriots Quarterback in 2000 and 2001. Nick was employed as a broker for State Farm Insurance in the Summerlin Plaza, Wappingers Falls for the past three years. He was a member of St. Columba Church, Hopewell Junction and he enjoyed snowboarding, baseball, basketball and motorcycling. He was an outgoing person who truly enjoyed life.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Corine Ficara, at home; his grandmothers, Margaret Donnelly of Poughkeepsie and Evelyn Ficara of Cortlandt Manor; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Cathrine F. Bennett (Mema), of Middletown died Friday, May 18th, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center at Horton. She was 63 years old.
Catherine was born in Middletown, NY on June 28, 1943, the daughter of the late Stanley and Betty (Gulle) Hunt. Mrs. Bennett worked at Broas' Variety Store in Middletown.
Catherine is survived by her beloved husband Brown, at home, loving daughter Tammy, grandchildren Robert Curry and Payton Wolf, brothers Ted Hunt his wife Barbara and Bob Hunt and his children Racheal and Cody, aunts Mamie Pellew and Ann Pawliczak and her husband Ray all of Middletown; also, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Rev. Gene Martin Smith

Rev. Gene Martin Smith of Monticello, passed away on Wednesday May 16, 2007 at home. He was 63. Rev. Smith was pastor of the United Methodist Church of Monticello.
This northern Wisconsin farm boy was born in Amery, WI on October 4, 1943. After graduating from Clear Lake High School, he went on and graduated from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. Post graduate work was done at both the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis & Wesley Seminary in Washington, DC.
His corporate career in marketing included Webb Publishing in St. Paul, MN, The Parker Pen Co. in Janesville,WI, Star Expansion in Mountainville,NY and Eran Lighting & Plastics in Poughkeepsie,NY.
Gene was appointed by the NY Conference United Methodist Church to serve as an interim lay speaker at the Mountainville UMC and as a local missionary working with the Pine Bush UMC. After graduating from Wesley Seminary, Gene served the churches of the Fosterdale, Kenoza Lake, Jeffersonville Parish, the Milton-Marlboro United Methodist Church and presently the Monticello UMC, and Chaplain for the Village of Monticello.
Gene is survived by his wife Terrence Lee Chapin Smith, one son Scott and wife Maureen of Wallkill,NY Granddaughter Terriann & Grandson Scott Patrick Smith of Wallkill, one brother Kirt and wife Catherine of Clear Lake,WI, four sisters Myrna Gaston of Phoenix,AZ, Carmen Schindler and husband Tom of Duluth,MN, Maureen Johnson of Phoenix,AZ, and Coleen Johnston and husband Bruce of Mazeppa, MN. Fourteen nieces and Nephews. Gene was pre deceased by his parents Wilford and Elsie Smith and daughter Heidi Chapin Smith.
Friends may call on Sunday May 20, 2007 at the United Methodist Church ,445 Broadway Monticello with social time in fellowship hall from 2-5PM, visitation in the sanctuary from 3-5 PM and Memorial Services at 6PM with Bishop Jeremiah Park and Rev. Dr. Mark Chatterton officiating.

will be private at Hamptonburgh Cemetery Campbell Hall, NY.

Marie F. Sturm of Wallkill, NY, a retired Nurses Aide at Elant of Newburgh, and a longtime resident of the area died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at home. She was 81.
The daughter of the late Franz and Eugenne Suess Wandinger, she was born February 20, 1926 in Ellenbach, Germany.
She was a member of Most Precious Blood Church, St. Benedict's Rosary Altar Society and the New York State Farm Bureau.
She was the widow of Joseph Sturm, who passed away April 3, 2007.

Robert J. Holmbraker, of Morrill Maine, formerly of Middletown, died peacefully at home on August 6, 2007. The son of the late Robert and Ann Holmbraker, he was born in Middletown on May 19, 1928. He was predeceased by his wife Eileen and son James.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Erlene, his son Peter and his wife Bernice of Goshen, and his son Steven of Middletown, his sister Jean Kerrigan of Palm Coast Florida, and brother Patrick and his wife Marion of Middletown, several nieces and nephews.
During the Korean War, Bob served in the Army as a painter. After his military service, he opened his first Autp Body Shop. Later on Bob earned his teaching degree and taught auto body classes, finishing his teaching carreer at the Maine State Prison in Thomaston, Maine.
A memorial service will be held Saturday August 18, 207 at St Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 149 Cottage St, Middletown, NY at 11 AM. Donations in Bob's name may be made to Hospice of Waldo County, PO Box 287, Belfast Maine, 04915.

STORMVILLE - Dorothy M. Torchia, 93, an area resident for 18 years and formerly of Lancaster, PA died on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at her home.
Born in Pittston, PA on March 15, 1914, she was the daughter of John H. and Martha Ball Mayer. She was the owner and operator of the Dulcey Dress Shop, Lancaster, PA for 20 years until her retirement in 1962. She was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Landisville, PA.
Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband, Jay T. Dombach, and her second husband, Joseph Torchia who was a professor at the State University in Millerville, PA where the Torchia Scholarship has been endowed. She was also predeceased by her brother, John W. Mayer, and her sister, Mildred Burket.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Barbara Richardson and her husband, Gerald of Stormville, NY; her stepson, Andrew Torchia; her grandsons, Bryan D. Richardson of Concord, GA, Wayne G. Richardson of Cornwall, NY and Gordon A. Richardson of Fort Leavenworth, KS; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 11:00am at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 85 Brandt Blvd., Landisville, PA with Rev. LaDonna Thomas officiating. Interment
will follow in the Landisville Mennonite Cemetery on the Old Harrisburg Pike. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.

NEWBURGH - Carol C. Dale, 60, a resident of the Town of Newburgh for 7 years and formerly of Fishkill, died on Friday, August 10, 2007 in the Town of Lloyd from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in the Bronx on October 4, 1946, she was the daughter of Edwin J. and Rita Nault Hoag. Carol was presently employed by the State of New York at their Youth Detention Facility in Highland and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church, Newburgh.
On February 6, 1976 in the Bronx, she married Joseph Dale who died on March 21, 1999.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Laura Segreti and her husband, Anthony of Hopewell Junction and Dawn Faranda and her husband, Tony, of Newburgh; her stepdaughter, Jeanie Dolan and her husband, Kenny of Pine Bush; her stepson, Joseph Dale of Richmond, VA; her brothers, John Hoag and his wife, Kathy of Middletown and Raymond Hoag and his wife, Jean of Middletown; her grandchildren, Katelyn and Joseph Faranda, Anthony Segreti, Keith and Kelsey Dolan; her niece, Donna Perez; and her nephews, Michael, E.J., Sean, Thomas and Craig Hoag.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Jct. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Jct., followed by interment
in St. Denis Cemetery.

Herbert Joseph "Joe" Watkins

Herbert Joseph "Joe" Watkins, of Circleville passed peacefully Friday,August 10th, 2007 while in the company of family members at his home. He was 93.
Joe was born in Utica, New York on June 23, 1914, the son of Herbert Joseph and Elizabeth Mahoney Watkins.
He retired as a Machinist at Kiely and Mueller, Middletown, was a member of the Teamsters Union, American Federation of Musican's local 804 and The Untied States Trotting Association.
Joe was an accomplished musician playing with many local bands; he also loved horses. He owned and operated Misty Meadows Farms in Circleville for many years where he trained standard bred horses.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Eleanor Woerner Watkins at home, Devoted father of three daughters Patricia McQueen of Bloomingburg, Barbara Sleight and her husband Russell of Horseheads and JoAnne Talmage and her husband John of Dunedin, FL grandfather of Jeffrey Reid, Brian Reid, James McQueen Jr, Keith McQueen, Lisa Schuhle, Russell Sleight, John Talmage, Jennifer McNeil and Jill Talmage. 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his three brothers Richard, John "Jack", and Robert "Bob" Watkins.
Memorial Services will be held at Morse Funeral Home Inc., 33 Railroad Ave, Middletown, NY, at 3 PM on Thursday, August 16th, with Reverend Kenneth Wonderland officiating.
Entombment of his ashes will be in the Mother, Queen of Peace Mausoleum, Middletown, NY.

Nancy J. Varian, 52, a resident of Wurtsboro for 10 years and formerly of Hastings-on-Hudson and Yonkers, died on Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center.
Born in Yonkers on April 6, 1955, she was the daughter of Alexander and Dorothy Rion Bertram. She was employed as a meat wrapper for the Food Emporium in Bedford.
On September 5, 1991 in Dobbs Ferry, Nancy married Eugene Varian who survives at home. She is also survived by her sisters, Karen Hetcher of Wurtsboro and Kathy Hettinger of Hopewell Junction; her brothers, William Bertram of Mountaindale, John Bertram of the Bronx, Alan Bertram of Baldwin and Robert Bertram of Yonkers; her most cherished godchild, Kacey; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at Blessed Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville.
